Visited Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge and was amazed! The stunning views of the forest and river below are breathtaking. The bridge itself is a thrilling experience, swaying gently as you cross. It's free, less crowded than Capilano, and offers great hiking trails nearby. Highly recommend for nature lovers!

Great hiking trail. We took the longer route because the short route was more like a walk with a good view.
It was very idyllic and fun. I felt like I was in Germany:)
Plus it was free.

Love it!
Is you dont have budget and want to know a free suspention bridge this is your best option.
Plus they have the ecology center where you can learn a lot of nature things. There is a cafeteria and i really like the food is not expensive.

Very nice park with, among other things, rainforest and ancient trees. Admission free. I almost liked it better than Stanley Park.
20 September 2023 17:39
A free version of Capilano and so pretty! If you can climb the 100 or so steps up the business dies down, and you van get a great hike in! Rocks for swimming, rocks for climbing, rock caves for hiding in #amazingrocks
19 September 2023 14:57
A pleasant walk through the mountains. The advantage is that it is free, but the bad thing is that you have to get there by taxi or bus because there is no free shuttle from the city.
17 September 2023 12:20
Great place in North Vancouver to take a hike through the forest, complete with suspension bridge. Great park with easy access.
14 September 2023 1:40
I absolutely love this place breathtaking it’s spectacular. It’s a must see! I got married here 30 years ago!
13 September 2023 0:28
Good experience, lots of trails to discover, well worth a visit. Best to travel by car. Use the free car park, situated close to the bridge instead of the car park where the ranger station is located
24 January 2022 17:33
Great place to visit and show someone visiting. Quick visit if you’re going just for the view. It’s a few minutes walk from the parking lot, so very good for folks with walking difficulties.

Kind of crowded, so I wouldn’t pick this place for private quality time with your guests. Otherwise a good attraction. Lots of trails all around so you can explore.
20 January 2022 9:54
We absolutely loved the suspension bridge. The walk around was too short of a walk. And it's very expensive in the shop there
07 January 2022 20:07
Park entrance is free. Parking is free from November till March. Parking can be thight in the weekends.

There are several trails. You can walk to the twin Falls after you cross the suspension bridge. It is 600 meter / 60 meter elevation loss. Or you can walk to the 30 foot pool (less than a kilometer).

There is also an ecology center which has public washrooms.
03 January 2022 7:20
Always relatively busy, but definitely worth the visit. There is paid parking right beside the entry to the park.
30 December 2021 12:40
It was scary for me (fear of steep heights), but it was beautiful! The hike after crossing the bridge was hard, but beautiful nonetheless

Kids love it and good facilities. Parking fee applies though. Wrong concept in national city parks as tax paper
23 December 2021 3:04
Wow! Quel endroit fabuleux!
09 December 2021 14:51
Visisted lynn canyon suspension last week during visit to Vancouver. Beautiful place on a semi sunny day, not very crowded. Parking is free during winter
02 December 2021 1:26
If you need, you can get a trail map from Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre when it's open.
Rice lake is so beautiful it can't be described in words.

We enjoyed visiting Lynn Canyon Pretty easy hike and beautiful scenery. Family friendly and pet friendly. Definitely a relaxing attraction for family weekend getaway. Highly recommend!
23 November 2021 1:40
Only locals know about it. It is almost same as Capilano Bridge, just for free.
Beautiful views and walking in the green rain forest.
19 November 2021 17:10
Belle randonnée, facile d’accès et différentes distances disponibles selon temps de marche, le pont suspendu est toutefois petit et moins impressionnant que certaines de photos peuvent le présenter.
07 November 2021 19:20
Beautiful little trail to the suspension bridge and back. So quiet in mid October. Don’t need a parking pass after October 31! The path is well groomed and it’s absolutely beautiful in there!

Lynn Canyon is a beautiful, densely forested, natural park located in North Vancouver. The park has a variety of well-maintained, easy and accessible hiking trails, some waterfalls and gorgeous lush plant life.

I hiked the Lynn Canyon loop on the morning of September 2,2021. My FitBit recorded 3.2 km. The trail begins by crossing the suspension bridge and then continues through a beautiful mature growth, lush forest along trails, boardwalks and wooden steps. The suspension bridge was so amazing to see and was a little freaky to cross. The trail passes by the 30 foot pool (which is a quiet calm area of water) before climbing the steps. I continued to the pipe bridge and then turned around and headed back along the Baden Powell side of the loop. The forest was so gorgeous and the trees were massive. It felt very magical and enchanted with all the mosses hanging off the trees.

The loop then continued to the Twin Falls along more boardwalks. You can see the falls from above on the bridge. I crossed the bridge and continued back up the steps to the parking area to complete the loop. This trail was relatively easy and flat but there were a lot of stairs.

Lynn Canyon is accessible by bus from downtown if you don’t have a car which is nice, and there is no admission fee. There is a cafe, washrooms and ecology centre at the parking area. Would highly recommend this trail system! I spent around an hour and a half leisurely walking here.
23 October 2021 12:41
Sentiers et pont suspendu gratuit. On ne paie que le stationnement. Et c'est très accessible.
Deux stationnements souvent bien remplis.

Sentiers en forêt très intéressants pour poursuivre l'aventure.
14 October 2021 22:54
Beautiful place to spend a day!
You can swim in the 30ft pool, go for trail walking.
Lot of dogs were off leash (even though the sign prohibits) and were exploring the place.
13 October 2021 21:38
Nice scenic hike that is about 40 mins drive from Burnaby.

The bridge and waterfall is right near the start so if that's all you want to check out then it's quick and easy.

The hike can be longer (hour and a half) or you can just hike a short distance to still get nice views.
08 October 2021 13:05
An amazing experience, if you're coming from a large dense city you won't regret coming here to breathe in the fresh clean air. Spectacular views of the waterfall and amazing trails to experience and go through.

If you're visiting on the weekend, just make sure that you come earlier rather than later so you can find suitable parking
07 October 2021 13:15
Allez y tôt le matin pour éviter la foule et ne pas passer des heures à faire le tour des parkings pour trouver une place. Mais vraiment sympa
06 October 2021 3:27
Very disappointed that you have to pay a fortune to park here now and the new bridge is rather ugly but at least it's still cheaper than cap
03 October 2021 15:19
Beautiful park, if you are interested to see one of a kind bridge for FREE this is your destination.inside the trail you can see these wooden path everywhere which reminds me of Bali.so beautiful and magical.totally worth the visit
30 September 2021 10:07
Great easy hike, with lots of stairs and the best of all is that it is pet friendly! You can take the little ones on leash all the way! Also you can visit the 30 foot pool and refresh after hiking a bit. Definitely worth it.
Make sure you wear the right cloths and shoes for hiking, also beware of bears, making sure you got the right wear.

Sadly, this bridge has been "ruined" by it's "repairs". Parks dept seems to have decided to completely rebuild the bridge with a design that makes it as solid as a non-suspension bridge. This brings to an end decades of history and enjoyment by generations of kids and families that enjoyed it just the way it was. Another piece of North Vancouver history has been totally eradicated. Seems to be the way things are going in North Shore wilderness parks these past years.

So many of the parks and trails of the North Shore are being converted from a "being in" nature" experience to a "looking at nature" experience by forcing everyone onto boardwalks and gravel trails where you get to look at nature from behind a fence. Extremely sad! These days, when off the trails, it's often feeling like an interpretive walk at a nature museum rather than the freedom and zen of just being in a natural environment. North Vancouver has completely lost its living in and near nature appeal, which was why so many of us moved here. Gone forever now. We're losing nature and gaining high density housing and endless concrete and asphalt transportation projects at a tremendous rate. Beyond sad and definitely not cool.

Lovely bridge and nature trails. Stream under the bridge gets wider with lovely deep ponds making it excellent place for a dip.
27 August 2021 5:47
Quite a nice walk. Very well-maintained trails. Park Rangers are around often.

We went on a weekend and it was busy. I think if you go during the week much less traffic.

We walked in as far as the first pools past the suspension bridge. I was told if you carry on past those first pools the amount of people drops and you have the place more to yourself especially during the middle of the week.

Overall we saw adults and children of all ages. The water is very clean. Lots of parking especially during midweek. I would go back again but I would make sure to get past the first pools.
27 August 2021 2:45
Access to the park is free. It is a very nice place to go hiking, the color of the water is amazing and during summer you can swim in it.
19 August 2021 10:27
My fiance, 3 year old daughter and I had a lovely time visiting the suspension bridge and enjoying nature in Lynn Valley. We crossed the river and splashed around, even had a picnic on the rocks. It was quite busy on the bridge itself, but the river and the trail weren't too crowded.

It is a lovely place to connect with nature. The bathrooms were nice and clean as well. The parking was crazy, but we got a spot in the overflow free part of the lot. We will visit again.
23 March 2021 19:08
We didn't get to go om the bridge because it was closed but the hike was absolutely beautiful, there was so much to see throughout! Parking is great too which is always a blessing! I would recommend if it's quite chilly outside, do not fall into the stream, it will ruin the rest of your hike. You would think that would be pretty obvious but you would be suprised.
23 March 2021 8:01
Beautiful Nature, nice place for hiking, the parking lot is closed at 6 pm while around 5 pm everything is turning dark.
25 February 2021 14:00
So beautiful and such nice hike found some great rocks didn't get to walk across the bridge as it was closed but still very nice hike
14 February 2021 3:04
Beautiful walk across the water, by the water, and along the water with a lovely waterfall as a backdrop. Nicely made trails and steps only enhance the experience.
27 January 2021 23:11
We hiked down.in our converses shoes to the twin falls area. It was a little slick but nice for a short hike to see another view. Accessible for persons with prosthetics but not wheelchairs.
15 February 2019 9:54
Hands down this is one of the most serene and beautiful places in Vancouver. Great for hiking and taking a stroll to experience picturesque views. Absolutely loved it!
29 January 2019 9:01
Beautiful wilderness walk. Waterfall at entrance to bridge was breathtaking Trail got a little crowded at some points since we visited over the Christmas holidays. The main trail loop took about 40 minute at slow pace. Great experience for both locals and tourists.

The trail can get muddy so wear shoes that you're ok with getting dirty.
22 January 2019 22:02
Loved this place. Being here is like being in the lap of nature with clean river passing through the middle of jungle which is very well preserved and maintained for the people to enjoy. This place undoubtedly is one of the best for hiking. Dogs with leash are allowed here. There is a small convenience store serving food at the entrance. Ample free car parking space is available here.
21 January 2019 19:37
Overlooked gem. Beautiful falls, easy trails, dog friendly, and a lovely section of perfect salmon berry groves in early summer. If you're looking for a place to spend a few hours getting away from the crowds, skip Capilano: Lynn Canyon is where it's at.
14 January 2019 1:26
Great place; love hiking here. Parking on weekends fills up quick so come early. Suspension bridge is cool; enjoy walking it every time. Lots of trails to choose from. DONT CLIFF JUMP; EVERY YEAR PEOPLE DIE!
13 January 2019 7:50
Beautiful alternative to Capilano Suspension Bridge. A little more hiking but the views are amazing! Definitely check out 30 Foot Pool during your visit.
12 January 2019 2:28
Had a great time, busy as we went in boxing Day. Wsnted to do a bigger hike but our 4 year old wasn't up for it. Will definitely go back without the kids to explore more of the area aside from bridge!

Lynn Canyon is a beautiful, densely forested, natural park located in North Vancouver. The park has a variety of well-maintained, easy and accessible hiking trails, some waterfalls and gorgeous lush plant life. Lynn Canyon is a peaceful place to go for a hike and enjoy the gorgeous natural environment. The main attraction here is the suspension bridge which crosses a deep gorge. It is a fantastic (and free) alternative to the more expensive and touristy Capilano Suspension Bridge nearby.

I was amazed at how tall the trees were in the park and it was cool to see so much moss and vines growing on and hanging from the trees. There were lots of ferns a gorgeous variety of plants. It felt like I was in a rainforest.

I spent a morning at Lynn Canyon during my visit in May 2017. The trails were quiet and beautiful as they led through dense and lush foliage with a series of boardwalks and lots of wooden steps along the way for a great leg workout.

I visited Twin Falls, a pretty waterfall that could be seen before crossing the suspension bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow the boardwalk to the right and the trail will lead to a better viewpoint of the falls.

The 50 metrer high suspension bridge was the highlight of my visit. It stretched across a deep canyon with waterfalls and a powerfully flowing river below. It bounced and swayed as I crossed, which was a little freaky, but still an amazing experience. There were fantastic views and photo opportunities of the scenery while standing in the middle of the bridge. If you arrive early enough in the morning when the park opens, you can get good photos of the bridge with nobody else on it.

The 30 foot pool was an interesting place to see, and could be found after crossing the bridge, turning left and walking for about 20 minutes. Along the edge of the rushing river, there were calm pools of water in between the large rocks where you could go swimming. There were beautiful views of this area from the top of the wooden set of steps.

Lastly, I visited the Pipe Bridge. The bridge was built over top of a pipe that crossed the canyon. This was located on the edge of the park, after hiking from the 30 foot pool. It was peaceful there and I found amazing views of the canyon and surrounding forest. The hikes in the park were not too difficult, aside from some steps.

I arrived to the park using public transport from downtown Vancouver and it took 3 buses to get there, but was easy and straightforward. The best part about the park, is the free entrance and opportunity for anyone to explore the beautiful nature there. There was a visitor's centre and cafe at the entrance to the park as well (with washrooms).

Lynn Canyon is a gorgeous natural paradise in a temperate rainforest, with hiking trails and an amazing suspension bridge. This park is worth visiting when in Vancouver and is a wonderful escape from the city life.

Good quick hike for the colder months of the year when longer hikes are closed. Close to the city and not as crowded as I would expect it to be during summer.
31 December 2018 2:03
Free access to the beautiful Lynne Canyon trails and walkways and yes this Suspension Bridge is absolutely free.
My Parents brought us here to swim in the icy cold waters that flow through the shear rock canyons. On a hot summer day the water is a relief from the heat.
There are plenty of jump areas throughout the Canyon for experts and the novice amoungst us.
Situated in the mountains above Vancouver er and on the edge of our great rain forest
13 December 2018 22:38
Great outdoor area just outside of Vancouver. I loved the waterfall, water was clear and cool. I would have spent the entire day in the waterfall had I not come with a tour group! Also loved the redwood trees as well!
13 December 2018 8:28
Several trails that are well marked and easy to follow. Varying lengths of trails that are mapped out for convenience. Beautiful hiking. Not very difficult, which means there were more people on the trails than some of the more strenuous mountain hikes in the area. Lots of beautiful trees, ferns, mosses and greenery.
11 December 2018 2:58
This place is fantastic, as it is a great nature trail along rushing creek that flows towards a steep part, and turns into a 'white water falls'. The trails are rustic, yet there are fencing for safety, and steps/bridges built by the park staff for safe & easy access to areas that would have required expert climbing equipment & skills. And the best bridge is the suspension bridge - and the entire park is FREE! Dogs are allowed, on leash, (as noted by the posted signs) but I saw there was a person that brought her dog - not on leash. (which I felt endangered the dog, because the trails have steep cliff sides, and if the dog should spoof some little critter, and tried to catch the critter dashing towards the cliff.). As my dog tend to chase critters, that's why I was paranoid for that dog's safety. The suspension bridge is over the fall, and is strung up with steel cables (the two cables that serve as handrails are approximately 6 cm (2 inches) in diameters - so, it is a very safe experience.
