Mackenzie and John were both fantastic to work with. Originally we planned to use the same lending company to purchase our new home, but they had to many hoops to jump through (surprisingly, considering it would be the same lender). That's when we decided to talk to Mackenzie and John about going with a different lender. Due to our subject removal date being so close, Mackenzie worked for us on her Sunday and evenings. Within a day, she had approval for us. Thanks to her, we managed to remove subjects on time, and get into our new home. We can't thank Mackenzie and her team enough!

I quickly learned that using a Mortgage Broker vs a Bank is probably the better choice for anyone. Talking financials can be uncomfortable and it is difficult to put your trust in a stranger. However, I did and Aundrea represented us. She made us feel confident, comfortable and that she truly cared about us. Aundrea helped us renew our Mortgage, pay off our debt and start a savings account, when I thought just a Mortgage Renewal would be challenging. Mackenzie, Breanna & her entire team were great to work with. Buying our first home here in Canada was a big time challenging after having rejections from most known popular mortgage companies, Our Paper work for financing was a little complicated because of many International transactions with some unusual financing in place and tight timelines. What an incredible team, where do I begin…
As soon as I got the word about buying our first home, it wasn’t hours later and we had John at our house books in hand on a Friday afternoon crushing numbers and lining it all up for us to get pre-approved. He was over the top with his help and knowledge of each step to take and thoroughly explained each step to us as we went along. Mackenzie is the best and so respectful. I didn't have the best credit from some things I did in my younger years and didn't know better back then. Other mortgage brokers and the banks wouldn't give me the time of day. Mackenzie worked with me for over a year to help me prepare for a successful application leading up to my first mortgage and now the mortgage on my current home also. The least stressful experience I’ve ever had getting a mortgage. Truly knowledgeable people. They have access to the lowest rates and the knowledge to help you find the product that is suitable for your situation! I recommend Mackenzie Gartside and Associates to everyone that has questions about mortgages!

Unfortunately, not a stellar experience for me. They asked the same questions on subsequent visits as if they didn't know me or take notes. Also, somehow I ended up with a mortgage with a huge penalty ($8500 compared to the $500 I paid on previous mortgages) that I just paid for getting out of it after 2 years to relocate for school. I told them at MGs more than once that I only planned on keeping the property for 2-3 years so why was a mortgage with a huge penalty recommended? I should have read the fine print myself but I had hoped the broker would be looking out for my best interest.
