One of the best local sushi places. Decor is quirky - thinly veiled decor of a prior Italian (?) restaurant, but the food, service, and pricing is top notch

Teriyaki chicken is too bad. It must have been there for a long time. It tastes much worse than before

Generous servings and good service. Prices are a bit higher than others but good value for your money. We'll be back.

I don't want to even give them one star. Worst restaurant, don't even bother coming here. Went with another person ordered together. Two other tables arrived after us. The person I was with, received their meal. The two tables that ordered after us, received their meal. The person I was with finished their meal, then mine arrived. I wasn't interested at this time. Really ruined my night. I was given this restaurant a second chance. Oh by the way I ordered a dinner box. Not even a hard item. Never going to grace their door step again.

My husband and I love this place. The atmosphere is lovely and chill, the serving staff are extremely pleasant and frequent the tables often with fresh tea. The chefs are clearly talented and send out food that is not only visually stunning but taste amazing. We have come here at least once a week since discovering it, and two nights in a row this week. A special thank you to the staff for making this evening extra nice! You are all wonderful! We give this place six stars!

First time visiting Maguro Sushi. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful atmosphere, extremely quick food service and friendly staff.

The food was DELICIOUS! We were surprised by the large portions! The menu offered many Korean/Japanese favourites. We ordered LA Galbi ribs, beef teriyaki, prawn tempura, agadashi tofu, salmon sashimi, tuna maki, spicy salmon roll and a sushi sashimi lunch box (& chicken teriyaki meal to go). EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!

We will definitely return for more family gatherings. Thank you for making our impromptu mother's day lunch amazing! And surprising the mothers with a gift!

Food is good. But dining experience was disappointing as we were rushed to leave. Wasn't even busy. We were surrounded by several empty tables. Early in the evening too. We finished our food, and were immediately brought the bill and the machine without even being asked if we were done.
My friend and I actually were going to order more but we're not even offered the opportunity to. We paid and proceeded to try to finish our drinks, but were staff were staring at us the whole time.

So dry. Gross. Will never order again. Obviously it's not fresh.forsure the salmon came from a can!

The last few times I ordered from here, the food just wasn't very fresh or tasty. I thought it was a one off so gave them another try or two, but sadly, it seems to be consistently poor quality now. A shame because their location is so close to me!

Food wasn't great, rolls were soft and mushy, sunimono was watered down, worst I've ever tasted. Servers were efficient but not pleasant. Won't be going back.

We ordered two yakisobas. I ordered mine with extra vegetables which was an extra dollar- no problem. But when we got home and started eating there were no vegetables other than a few pieces of cabbage. In other places they have carrots, pepper and broccoli. And it was a little too oily tasting. So much for a balanced meal.

This place has always been top notch. I've been coming here for at least 10 years and they are still in my top five of lower mainland sushi restaurants.

Terrible! The owner is hovering all over her staff like it’s a factory! There is no “non tip” on the pay device and her staff is scared of her. Not the way to run a biz! The food is very average.

Cute little restaurant. Great food. Been going here since 2006. It changed owners at one point. Still one of the best sushi joints in the Lower Mainland. A 4-star rating is horribly unfair. It is a hidden gem.

Ordered take out a few months ago. Found the quality to be the lowest of the Japanese restaurants I’ve dined at/ordered takeout from in Ladner. I found the rolls to have far too much rice on them and ended up removing it from every roll. I also dumped my miso soup due to the poor flavour. One positive, the rolls are large for the price. If that’s what you care about, this is the place to go in Ladner.

We thought prices were a little much but the quality and quantity more than met our expectations and prices.

I ordered online, showed up on time. Called the restaurant 3 times until they pickup just to get told there closed, she then proceeded to bang the phone on the table every time I spoke. I have been here before and already felt like the servers were rude, but this really confirmed that. Really disappointed.

Worst Sushi I have ever had. What happened? Actually made me physically sick.won’t order from there ever again.

Just moved to the area and found this gem of a place. Absolutely love the food! Highly recommend for some delicious sushi. They have unique rolls that are super flavourful and fun to try

It was my second time that I have ever tried Suchi but I would highly recommend here since the tase was wonderful and they are respecting Covid procedures very well

Great environment/ambiance, best dine in sushi in Ladner, good service, presentation is always great. Lots of sociality items to try too. 100% worth the slightly higher price compared to other sushi places in the area

Was some of the best Japanese food I have ever tried, listening to the employee sitting across from me eating grossed me out. But I would go back anyway.

Lunch box B has California roll, dumplings, fried chickens, tempora and fried tufo, and 2 pieces of sashimi and rice with $17.99, but If you like to test more exciting Japanese delicacy go for Sushi and sashimi lunch box with $21.99 which is enough for two people. It has more sashimi from three different kinds of fish, tempora, Ice noodle, chicken teriyaki and extra rice. Misu suop was included in lunch boxes. Green tea came free as welcoming and and it was free. The food was amazingly delicious but it would be perfect if the servents were more friendly.

I havent eaten in store with them in awhile and food was okay. Minus the dirty utensils I was given, but this time I ordered off of skip and I only live less than 10min away from the restaurant. Agedashi was soggy, and all the rolls we ordered were falling apart. Dont think ill be ordering from then again since the only thing that was good was the edamame.

Seriously tasty! I suggest the sashimi it is an experience, personal favorite is the tuna belly (toro), it is amazing. Covid safe too with a warm environment, pickup orders are super easy.

I could eat sushi every meal of the day. I eat sushi quite frequently and have been to many sushi places all over B. C.but maguro is probably one of my favorites.

First time visiting here and it was pretty good. Big portions and nice presentations. Servers were polite. They had the tables curtained up with clear plastic.

Used to be the best spot but noticed quality of certain items slipping a bit. Still gave the 4star tho but hoping u return to 5star soon

Maguro use to be one of the best sushi spots in South Delta. This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star. Please read if you want a very honest review.

I have eaten at Maguro for almost 10 years off and on. Go to Maguro if you want horrible service, and I mean the worst of the worst, rude cranky/ miserable servers who act like you ordered the entire menu when you ask for a water, you'll also end up with luke warm water in a glass that's half filled, or no water at all. Your server will come back when its time to pay the bill, and that's all. The food use to be great, it is absolutely horrible now. The rice bowl is like a giant bowl of rice with flavourless/boiled like chicken. The miso soup is flavourless, the tuna and salmon is very stringy- likely bad cuts of the fish, the menu prices continue to go up, however the food gets worse. I'm done supporting this business. We ordered over $100 of food for take out and it was all so disappointing, they forgot an order and then decide to be rude about it on the phone. This place is horrendous. Save yourself the time, money and experience. Go to their other restaurant in South Surrey- Maguro Guy.it is guaranteed 100 times better, unsure if they still own it though.

The serving of Agedashi Tofu is large and delicious. The Nabeyaki Udon is large and filling. And the pricing is reasonable. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nice little sushi restaurant in Ladner. The restaurant is neat and clean. Good menu selection. Food was served quickly. We all noted how fresh the ingredients were and how tasty. I would recommend and will return

My son and I went for lunch today. He was good because he only had rice and and edamame. I had tuna and salmon nigiri, agadashi tofu, and a California roll. The tofu was good, but the nigiri didn’t taste very fresh. I felt really sick and later and so did my husband who I took the Cali roll home too. Disappointed

This is a well respected place for well made Japanese food. Often very crowded at peak times. The staff can be a bit off putting, if you order take out you get a bit of a sour response. Even when not that busy.
But overall you will get a good meal.

Tried Maguro as my first time ever having sushi. Weird at first but now I love it. Will always go back

They are rude, I did not put the tip when I paid with the card but I was going to give it in cash and the waitress was upset when she saw that I did not mark the tip.

Very very good sushi. We really enjoyed their miso soup. Maybe the best we've had outside of downtown. We had a California roll, a spicy salmon roll, starter tempura, spicy agadashi tofu and 8 pce sashimi. I love that their spicy roll has the spice in the roll and not dolloped on top. Every thing had a fresh taste and the sauces were nicely warmed and tasty. Excellent presentation as well. Wonderful decor and understandably very busy without a long wait for food. I highly recommend this restaurant. We drive to Ladner from Surrey to enjoy the food here.

Great food, poor service. Staff are pretty much always rude. Makes for a pretty mediocre dining experience despite how amazing the food is.

Family friendly place. Enjoyed all the rolls: crazy boy (favorite), caterpillar, salmon tempura, salmon, tuna, Negi-Toro, kappa. The miso soup was good. The menu had a nice selection. You should be able to find something to eat. Clean bathrooms. Nice, cute decor. Very pleasant servers. Busy little place. Larger on the inside than we thought. Would come back. Check this one out of you like sushi.
