We are highly impressed with the approach of property manager Merry, she is very calm and always listen to our problem and give proper solution. We stay in 9520 B wing, whenever there is any issue, we reach out to the maintenance staff and they resolve it. Since it is old building, there are some old stuffs but the Mainstreet team is trying their best to resolve all concerns.

I’m stay in 14940 108 Ave Surrey bc It’s really bad apartment they only take money without do anything they never clean the barking and they take 35$ for each car monthly and there is no any camera in the parking anything happens they will never do anything, people who live in up in the top of my apartment they always noisy and I told to they manger many time he say they are children we can’t do anything and i call the office many times and I talk with the manager too they never do anything even this people noise after 2: 00 am we can’t sleep that already more then 2 years.it’s really really bad and if you guys didn’t believe see this is videos

I have been living in Cameron Manor 2 in New West for a couple months now. I usually do not leave reviews unless I feel the need to speak up about something. This is my review of the building, its management and the company as a whole.

The building has its flaw here and there, but overall, it has its own charms and is quite welcoming. For those who seek to rent here, you must understand you are renting an older building.

I, however, am impressed by the professionalism and caring nature of the building manager, John. First and foremost, He has always been very responsive since the day I came to put in my application. If there was any problems, he would try his best to resolve it in the most efficient way. Not only that, he goes out of his way to make his tenants feel understood and welcomed. Not many people take their work seriously these days, but John not only try his best to make us feel at home, but also feel relieved to know that someone out there still care for us. Thus, whoever is reading this, I would suggest you seriously consider renting here.

As for the company, I have dealt with renting at another location of Mainstreet, I was blatantly ignored. However, I must say the management at Cameron Manor has made up for that. I hope that you will seriously look into all the goods that John has done for his tenants. He is truly the reason I still want to rent and stay here.

The elevator has been broken for months leaving elderly tenants essentially trapped on upper levels. The place is infested with roaches, the hallways stink, homeless hang out in the stairwells and corridors. No on site security. Every Amazon package gets stolen. Laundry machines are card only, which can only be replenished in the management office which is closed evenings and weekends, meaning it's difficult to add funds if you actually work for a living. And they want a small fortune for the privilege of living there.

Management is very nice and they are attentive though, so there is that.

This place made me so sick i suffered a tremendous stroke 3yrs ago and am finally able to talk about this.
I am religious but i accept everyone, i am 54 disabled and was evicted for complaining about room renting upstairs, they were finally caught b4 the apartment lit up from cooking in the bedroom.
A Muslim man that knew manager moved above me, i didn't sleep he was up all night. No sound proof in these buildings.
I was evicted from these 2 complaints. I was too sick to fight. I was robbed moving from here.everything i had. 3strokes later i dont advise people to move here, u are not accepted if not Muslim.
I was in the middle East they accept u more than here.

Whew, my parents have been living here for a while now. I used to live here too but I grew up and moved out of BC. This is where is call home whenever I'm referring to 'home ' because it's my parents home. For people who don't like moving and would like a permanent home, this is a great place to live. To raise a little family and save money until you're able to buy. Instead of living in luxurious apartments and not being able to save anything, live here and save.

The service of the rental office is great. One the best customer service which I got is from Jennifer. She is really good at focusing on what we (as customers) need and require. She is very friendly and an optimistic person. She goes above and beyond to help.

We love Imperial. The location is great; close to shopping and schools, the grounds are beautiful with new flowers every month, our neighbors are friendly, there are tuns of kids to play with and our land lady Jen is kind, cares and makes an effort to improve things. It's lovely

So Joanna the Property Manager for Pacific Park has gotta be be the one reason you stay there. She was helpful, friendly, very approachable and professional. She worked with my schedule to see that my move into my first apt was smooth and straight forward. She always had a smile and would see that any concern was taken care of. I'm gonna miss the neighbours and staff of this property. It's an old building but it works and is clean.

Very pleasant 1 year at Cameron Manor in New West. Living space was adequate with good tenants. Any issues that arose were quickly communicated to John, the building manager, and quickly taken care of. John is very down-to-earth and will go out of his way to ask you how things are going to make you feel welcome. All-in-all would recommend this building to prospective tenants.

I was in process of moving my ownership from one building to another building apartment within mainstreet. The new resident manager Jennifer help in fixing all the issues and guiding through the whole process.

She respond quickly to all my queries and dealt with the whole process in professional manner,

Crooks. Wanted us to pay a $200 up front fee to take our application. When I told "agent" tenancy branch says not to pay any money until signing rental agreement and then only half month deposit is the way it works in BC. Buildings were disgusting wouldn't let my dog live there.

It is okay, but in my opinion there is a lot of fixing up to do. Patios that are rotting, bushes infront of Patios make the suites dark. Halls are dark. A paint job and some different floors in the halls might makes things look better. Linoleum flooring for easier cleaning maybe.

Living here currently. No real complaints about anything. Landlord is nice, area worked out for my needs and is not a bad place.

Only downside is repairs do take a while to go through with and the cockroaches. No big complaints about the staff or the tenants within the complex.

Great for first time renters or students

I would avoid Greenwood Apartment in Surrey, BC. Building management there seem not to do anything to remove sketchy residents and those who are bringing in their homeless squatter friends. Don't be surprised to find one of your neighbours' squatter friends sleeping in the stairs, shooting up drugs, or even taking a dump! I don't see anyone from Mainstreet Equity management patrolling the complex! The only one who I see around is the cleaner! And it is true about the mice and bed bugs problem.

It's interesting how you guys want me to reach out to you. It shouldn't be residents reminding you to step up the security and clean up the complex and remove bad residents! There shouldn't be criminal activities happening especially in the buildings, in the parking lots and on 104th Ave side adjacent to Ashley because of bad apples who are currently living in both complexes. Improve and add more security cameras and start auditing them for suspicious activities. Greenwood is supposed to be a safe, crime free complex for seniors, families, and peaceful residents. But where is building management? Another thing, why is there on going problems with infestations? Shouldn't that be building management's responsibility to be on top of it?

I've lived in 1210 Cameron st for almost 3 years I love the view of the mountain and the manager John is a wonderful person that works hard to make the building clean and secure.im very happy to find this place.

Nicely renovated suites, well-maintained and very affordable. The team is very responsive and the new manager John at Imperial is fantastic! He is professional and does his best to help tennants in any way he can. Would highly recommend Mainstreet to any one looking for housing.

Very terrible and unprofessional to deal with especially the regional manager! I regret moving to one of their slum buildings full of bed bugs, cockroaches and mice infestations, they don't vacuum and clean the common areas, and they rent to questionable people with abnormal behaviours. Never again!

Repeated complaints of bad tenants go ignored. Police have very little authority on private property. Rent elsewhere, you WILL regret moving into any one of these buildings.

I have nothing bad to say about Mainstreet equity I have good rapport standing with them even when I hit financial difficulties it is still a business however the staff were not cold to my situation.

I live on 14831 104 AVE and this building has had numerous problems with cochroaches bedbugs the management is a joke stay away from renting here save yourself the headache now they have fleas bed bugs mice cochroaches all at the same time the manager is a joke the regional manager a bigger joke im taking these slumlords to the tenancy board they enter your suit without notices and have a attitude like u wont believe dont rent from this run down disgrace of a building save yourself the time and stress pay more and live headache free

I have lived in 1211 Cameron Street for more than a year and i dont see myself moving except maybe you change the manager John. As a foreign student, not knowing anyone or anywhere in Canada, John being the 1st person i really interacted with made me feel at home. He is swift to handle whatever it is that might be wrong. Even b4 calling anyone to fix a problem he tries to make it better b4 a proffessional fixes it- thats an attribute of someone that really cares not only for the building but mostly for his tenants and their comfort. How lucky i am to have chosen this particular building to rent from

Today I tried to get a 1 bedroom at 1210 Cameron Street. The building manager John was pretty rude to us. I’m 18 and I understand that some people don’t want to rent to teens. Once he saw that we were teenagers his attitude changed. Right away before we even went into the building He told us “I have two other adults that want this place but you can look. ” We had it scheduled for 2. We arrived at 1: 55 but didn’t see the place til 2: 10. We were rushed while looking at the apartment because there was an adult waiting outside. We were in the apartment for 5 minutes or less. It was a very nice apartment from the glimpse we saw of it. He also told us that we can’t have people over and that we have to leave if we want to see family & friends because it’s a quiet apartment building. He assumed we were loud which we aren’t. I want to stay in a quiet apartment building. After we saw the place he took us to the other building to meet the other man that wanted to see the apartment. He told that guy everything about the building and how the doors, laundy and parking works. He didn’t tell us any of that. After we filled out the sheet we asked him “If you’d like us to get a letter from our social worker and if we bring our application tomorrow”. He just told “call first because I have other people that already put their’s in and I’ll let you know if you should even apply” He basically told us to not apply and that we weren’t going to get the apartment if we did. Which made no sense because he was still showing the apartment. After everything we said “okay thank you so much and we’ll call tomorrow” and John just rushed us out the door and said “Ok bye”

I know these are small things but I am still a person. Just because I’m 18 doesn’t mean I’m any different than a 30 year old. I’ve been living on my own since I was 17 so I’m definitely responsible. Businesses shouldn’t exclude people based on their age. I know you shouldn’t base a review on one person but right now I am because of how he treated us. That’s why it’s two stars. I’m under a Youth Agreement because I moved here from Calgary at 17. My current apartment building is loud and I want to stay in a quiet place. I’m an adult and I’d like to be treated like in adult regardless of my age.

If I’m viewing an apartment with your company I shouldn’t want to leave before I even go into the building.

Lived in the Cameron street apartments for 12 years. Thats before Mainstreet even took over. They renovated the entire building, (and im not talking just a bucket of paint here), and they did alot of work to upgrade the property. But the best move they made was keeping the manager on. His name is John, and he is the most attentive manager i have ever had. (and we went through alot of them). Despite the situation he had, he managed to change the building in many good ways. (better tenants, got rid of pests, keeps the building in tip top shape, despite the many large trees that shed leaves and branches like crazy,). I have never seen him without a smile, or a kind word to be said. So i dont know who wrote negatively, but they are likely just internet trolls. I have had repairs done to my suite in timely fashion, and i feel i can always ask John if i ever have a problem, that he will take care of it. He even posts nice little daily affirmations on our bulletin board. To Main Street.this guy is gold. Hope they know that. TY John for all your hard work.
