Mai's Vietnamese Restaurant

We have been their loyal customer in the last year. Unfortunately, we started looking for a different vietnamese restaurant to go to due to their decreasing portion size and food quality. It used to be enough for one person and over time I had to order large and then even that was not enough. I am a petite person and usually can't finish large size in other restaurants. It got to the point that I would have to eat again when I come home. Their soup tastes a lot more watered down and they only give you a few pieces of meat now. Overall their service has been consistently good so I hope they take these reviews into consideration so they don't lose more customers in the long run.

Authentic, feel-good food. Highlights are the shaken beef, spring rolls, avocado smoothie! Always a treat to dine here.

Often very slow. More than 15 minutes to take orders. People even leave. Best broth and beef we've ever had!

This place used to be awesome. Haven't been for over a year and wow.just awful. Found out new owners. I realize it's hard to find servers but this was really sad. Our server didn't get much help from the others (he was new). The food came out sporadically and missing items. They ran out of certain items that they needed to complete a dish. We were there on a Friday at 6pm. Trying to substitute other ingredients. Did not work!

The food was absolutely amazing and fresh. The staff there are fabulous, kind, courteous and friendly. The facility is cleanbans welcoming. I have nothing negative about this place and will return.

I was here for a private event where they catered the food and everything was amazing: the dishes were good, the staff were very friendly and even though there was a little incident that was our fault, the owner handled it very professionally. Would recommend!

This was my first time at Mais. Food was absolutely amazing. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all wonderful and the owners are super friendly. Proportion of our meals were very generous. One of the best vietnamese restaurants I’ve been too. I recommend their Spring rolls, Pho, Bun Bo hue, and salad rolls.

We’ve been going to Mai’s since Loc initially opened her restaurant. Now that Anna has officially taken over, it is still the best Vietnamese food you will find in the Fraser Valley and probably the Lower Mainland. There are certain things like the spring roll that North American Vietnamese restaurants often skimp out on because they are labour intensive, but at Mai’s, they make it the proper Vietnamese way.

We pretty much always order the Mai’s garden salad and chicken vermicelli with spring roll. So delicious. Although, of course, the pho is scrumptious as well.

Out latest fave is the mango dessert—fresh mango on sticky rice with condensed milk. Absolutely incredible.

And also delicious are the avocado smoothies, the mango smoothies, and the super healthy and intense ginger drink. So healthy.

Thanks Anna and crew. You are doing an excellent job. I can’t tell you how many times we have been here, and we will keep coming back.

Stopped by this place for lunch after somewere else i had planned on going was closed on a monday.first impressions were good, it was clean and I was seated right away and brought tea and a menu.
I ordered the house special stir fry on crispy noodles I'm glad i hadn't read the reviews first or i never would have ordered this but wow
a huge pile of steaming delicious veggies and beef in a classic chinese tasty gravy w crispy noods underneath.

I really enjoyed this dish I'll be back to try more of the menu, I'm a hungry guy and even thou the menu here is a little more $$ than other places this is still a decent value

We ordered Pad Thai with no veggies or shrimp via food delivery. We'll, it was loaded with shrimp, sprouts, and other greens.

Food is delicious and service is super friendly! We got the roll combo (2 huge rolls to share!), lemongrass chicken w/ rice (made with chicken breast instead of your regular thigh), boneless bbq pork w/ rice, Vietnamese iced coffee and an insanely good mango smoothie.

This is one of our favourite restaurants to go to as a family! The food is delicious, the restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly.
I ordered something from DoorDash and they forgot to add one dish. I phoned them and they were so kind to get it personally delivered in a quick fashion plus they added something delicious.
Now that’s amazing service!

My family and I have been searching for a good Vietnamese restaurant close to home, and we hit a gooder with this place. The atmosphere and menu are well put together, and offers a sense of confidence as soon as you sit down. Your food takes a bit of time to get to your table, but there's was only one server to a full restaurant when we went (should consider more staffing at peak times?), but overall the food made it worth the wait. My pho broth was on the salter side, but maybe I got the bottom of their pot and the broth had reduced by then All the ingredients were fresh and the dishes were overall really good:) Recommend!

The server pretty much ignored us. I asked about the side soup that usually comes with rice dish and he said it's extra and I asked how much and he said "idk I think $3 or something like that" lol he wouldn't double check with co worker I always order lemongrass chicken and this place has the worst one I ever tried. It was a dry, tasteless chicken breast that I had to dip it with whatever sauce I was given.
