I would like to thank all of you for a wonderful experience working with MakerLabs. You have all been an absolute delight to deal with, especially with accommodating my short timeline.

I have done acouple of book nook classes here and enjoyed every minute of it all. The place is easy to find by either public or private transport and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Needed to cut some sheets into pieces quickly. They paid attention to all the details and did an excellent job and delivered the items very fast. Keep up the great work!

I recently had 6 Acrylic panels laser cut for a 3d printer enclosure I was building. The panels turned out perfectly-better than expected with prompt service. Derek was incredibly helpful, and even made an extra couple cuts for free when I realized I had left them out from my initial designs.

Couldn't recommend them enough!

Upon my arrival at 6: 09 pm, I observed that you immediately engaged in an argument with me, which further delayed the proceedings. I must express that your response during the entire experience, as well as your subsequent correspondence, has come across as arrogant and lacking in empathy. Your actions are not aligned with the principles of promoting equity and inclusion.

I recently registered and prepaid for a class at Makerlabs, but my experience was extremely disappointing. Despite arriving only 10 minutes late, I was denied participation in the class because Makerlabs requires attendees to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time, a requirement that was not clearly communicated in their important details email or during the registration process.

As a mother of 2 toddlers, I had to carefully plan and juggle my schedule to make it to the class, which was already challenging. However, Makerlabs' unexpected policy added unnecessary stress and inconvenience, and I was denied participation in the class that I had paid for. When I requested a refund, Makerlabs refused to do so, even though I was unable to attend the class due to their lack of transparency in their policies.

Moreover, I found Makerlabs' policy to be exclusive, as it may not be feasible for all participants, particularly those with caregiving responsibilities, transportation constraints, or other commitments. This lack of inclusivity is disappointing and concerning.

Furthermore, the process to access Makerlabs' policy was not clear, requiring navigating through multiple pages on their website. As a paying customer, I expect transparent and easily accessible information about their policies during the registration process.

I urge Makerlabs to review and revise their policies to ensure inclusivity and fairness for all customers. As a result of my experience, I will be reporting this issue as "services not rendered" to my credit card company, and I will also be sharing my disappointment by posting this review on Google and other relevant platforms to inform others about my experience.

I hope Makerlabs takes this feedback seriously and takes appropriate steps to rectify the situation. I am disappointed with the lack of customer service and transparency in their policies, and I do not recommend their classes based on my experience.

Derek and his team are awesome. I was looking to get something custom fabricated. I sent over a sample photo of what I was looking for along with my artwork. I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up my project today. They created exactly what I was looking for. The quality was also top notch. If you need laser engraving or something custom, definitely go with them.

I needed a name tag for a Hallowe’en outfit and they managed to turn it around in a few hours on a Saturday. It’s perfect. Thanks for the great work!

Was super appreciative of MakerLabs and the kind and professional staff (Corinne, Thomas, Derek) who assisted with a project using the laser cutter and birch plywood. My request required some guidance and extra work from MakerLabs. They did an amazing job, and the process/communication was easy and enjoyable. The animal puzzles were enjoyed by many participants at our free parks event, thank you!

The creativity and skills of the team here blows my mind. I’m a 10 year Burner so trust me when I say this! They made an art car for me. A bath tub on wheels with lights and fire!

Nothing but high praise for Maker Labs. With a very helpful staff, well-versed in all aspects of what they do, and a quick turnaround for your projects, I've found all the support I need from Maker Labs to bring to fruition my designs to finished works.

They've also fixed errors on my designs and responded to all of my questions promptly throughout the process. My email thread with Maker Labs is limited to the last 10 messages so I can't name every person who has helped me here in this li'l microcosm of creatives and craftspersons, but each and every staff member I've dealt with here is amazing.

Rarely can you walk into an establishment that offers customized work (while you are in a panic) and be taken care of to the degree that I was assisted today.
Thomas took the time to grasp our needs even though we didn’t have an appointment and then completed our project on the same day.

The folks at MakerLabs are awesome. We had a minor issue with a part they had created for us and they immediately fixed the issue. The final product was exactly what we required. A big thank you to Eamon, Marc and the rest of the gang at MakerLabs.

I ordered a laser cut design in December last year and Derek did an amazing job. My cat really appreciated the project. I totally recommend MakerLabs!

Mixed feelings about this place. In the past, some of their programs and classes are wonderful especially the Tools for women program, but honestly some of the male staff are so unfriendly, unhelpful and downright rude- undermining the aims of the program.

I brought several pieces of mahagony display that were damaged during shipment for repair at Makerlabs. I am very happy with the repairs done. Great services and definitely recommended to other people. Thank you Derek.

A bit more expensive than other places but quality is well worth it.

I had a project which I designed that I needed fabricated, MakerLabs was very patient and helpful. They offered a huge range of different materials and the project came out look very professional. I would definitely use their service again!

Really cool place, they've been super helpful with my CNC projects! Quick turnaround and fair price.

Update: Makerlabs was so great that I decided to buy a membership

This is the second try to create at Maker Labs and honestly, I did not find the content of the mandatory courses worth the price tag and on top of that, there is zero support after the class. As a member, on my first visit, I was discouraged to ask questions even though the staff claimed they were busy helping others.confusing or perhaps just not my vibe at all. I did not feel welcome and was not able to make use of any of my investment. I would not recommend this place for your projects unless you are willing to pay a hefty price tag and do all the work yourself, doesn't make much sense.

I’ve taken several courses at MakerLabs & always enjoy them. Darla teaches beginner oil painting & is a great coach & teacher. Did my first ever oil painting tonight & it’s good enough to hang on the wall!

The staff at MakerLabs were super helpful, and made it easy to bring my project to reality! It was also much more affordable than other options. Thanks for the great work!

Makerlabs did a wonderful job custom-making ash coat hooks with a laser-etched face. They were quick to respond and put in extra care into ensuring the final result was exactly what I wanted. 100% would recommend!

I would definitely recommend MarkerLabs. My daughter had chosen a particular sign for her wedding but unfortunately they would not ship to Canada. Living in northern B. C. I could not find anyone locally to laser cut the sign. After searching the internet I found MarkerLabs and decided to give them a try. They were so friendly and helpful and worked with me so we could get exactly what we wanted. It was a pleasure to deal with them.

I could not be happier with my experience! I sent in a file by email and had more questions than you could imagine. The staff answered every question and went above and beyond to help produce the perfect final piece. I was absolutely blown away by the level of guidance and professionalism. The final product was a gift for a friend and it could not have been more perfectly done. I will definitely be using their services again.

I can't recommend this place to anybody if their idea is that MakerLabs build their project for them. In my case the project was going to take 2 weeks for completion and was going to be divided in 2 phases (1 week each). At the end I had to wait over 3 months and ended up with a faulty product, only the first phase of the project done, and they got a full payment for it.

Their customer service is very poor, in particular coming from the owner. You will be given several excuses to justify the multiple delays done in purpose by him, and I have to say him and not them because his employees are not guilty at all.

In one of my multiple visits to the center trying to get a hold of the owner, I was told that "they didn't know if he was there, they had to check, and in the meantime I had to fill up a visitors forms", everything seems quite normal except for the fact he was sitting one meter away from me trying to get hidden behind a column.

Not even when I approached the owner to get this solved between us and not have to contact the BBB or fill up a bad review, did he showed a good faith. I've been forced to fill up a claim on the BBB, to which the business never replied, and left the bad review.
