Mala Fade Barbershop

Plenty of barbers/stylists to cut your hair with about 10 chairs. A couple tvs usually with various sports on. Foosball while you wait. Clean, spacious. Book appointments or walk in and take a number and wait. There are a couple other locations. Only a few parking spots on front, but there are places to park along Austin in the strip mall or around that area.

It is a dirty salon, people coming with their dogs in salon, I took my kids two times there but I didn't get good results,

Great place to have a haircut. Took my 4 year old there. The guy Andre was very gentle with cutting my sons hair. I must say that not very many barbers have that much patience with little kids. The downside is that it is hard to get parking.

I have a quarter of my head shaved and I have always struggled to find a barber to do my hair. (Usually they are Muslim men and due to their religion, they can't touch women)

When I walked in, Nancy was at the till but she said she could cut my hair. She was very personable and made sure I liked the cut. It was a quick little appointment but I still enjoyed myself.

While I was there, another barber was cutting a 2 year old's hair. The baby was struggling so he put on "Baby Shark" and was so sweet to them. It's clear that they care about their clients.

Got the worst haircut and beard trim ever. Overall staff seems reasonable but found them very dishonest. Got my beard done and washed my hair after 4 minutes and after washing my grey hair were the same. I think the barber was in a hurry and didn't want to spend more time waiting until the hair dyed properly. He put the colour on again and asked me to wash it when I get home. But when I got home, I realized all the hair and beard were still grey. Such a rip off. Feel like I wasted my 100$

Was always leery about girls cutting my hair.turned out Nancy did the best fade, best lines ever. She kills it every time.yes she is the only one I go to now, I can trust it will be perfect every time. This is a production shop, it's busy but they work hard and fast.no wonder the best barbers in town are found there!

I had an appointment with Mala for a haircut and beard trim a couple of weeks ago. He was professional and did a great job. However, I will note for anyone planning to go to this shop that they only accept cash.

Asked for a taper at the back but the guy just fully shaved everything on the sides and the back. Heard good things about them but pretty disappointed that he couldn’t do the one thing I asked for.

Had Bezhar has my barber, cut was decent but was disrespected by one of the barbers with the dreads the moment I got inside.

The barber with the dreads seemed to be making fun of my name and I did not appreciate that, especially when I'm PAYING to come here.

Have never had an experience at a barbershop where I felt disrespected before and I am definitely NOT coming back and you shouldn't go here either.

They need to improve on their staff and their customer service because it's clearly a joke.

Today was the first time I went to Mala Fade. Andre cut my hair and did an amazing job. This is hands down, the best barbershop I’ve been too! I will definitely be coming back!

I remember coming here about 3-4 years ago. I should have done better research before coming as my haircut did not end up looking how I liked it. Prices were pretty standard and customer service was good but wait times were a little long

Lived in new west I went to Moe. I moved to Surrey still went to Moe. I purchased in Coquitlam still going to Moe. Love his speed and I’m always changing hair styles and he does exactly how I tell him cut it. Never walk out disappointed.

This is the worst place you could ever go to! They are not at all professional, they only treat their known people properly and only 1 or 2 people know how to give a decent haircut.
Most of the time their staff is shouting and just talking to each other, barely pay attention to you!

The guy messed up my hair and tried blaming on me, despite of showing him pictures and specifically telling him what to do! Practically made me bald and says “it looks good brother”, c’mon I’m not getting a haircut for the first time!

All the staff both male and female are talented. I've had a haircut by 5+ different people. Jo just happens to be the person that ended up being my favourite. As mentioned, all are good but Jo knew exactly which style was ideal for me. Great cuts and beard trims. I'm no longer in the area to get my haircuts here but would highly recommend.

I have been coming to Mala fade since 2015 and it has been my go to personally and for any recommendation since the first day. I have seen this shop grow and mature with yearly renovations trying to become the best version of themselves. My barber who I have been coming to for every haircut is named Andre and he has been amazing. He has watched me become a man in all honestly and I always look forward to our little bro sessions during my monthly fade. He has experiments new cuts on me and always excelled. I couldn’t be more pleased to call this place home for all my hair needs!

They have an amazing team and work great together. The haircuts are phenomenal straight out of a movie scene.

This is a cash only business. There's no where online that I saw that said this and I wish I'd have known ahead of time. But, beyond that, they also didn't have any $10s or enough $5s in their float. So, unless you're like me and can use the coin, expect an awkwardly large wad of coin in your pocket and a walk of shame to the bank if you was expecting to pay by means other than cash.

I was in on Friday morning and walking in I was greeted with what can only be described as a "what do you want" type attitude. Once I was in the chair, my haircut was quick and the barber pleasant but it wasn't quite what I asked for. It still looks better than what it was. I am confused because I thought barbers shouldn't cut straight across hair ever (minus when lining up a fringe) yet mine did.

As I say, I was thankful for the cut because I desperately needed it but I won't be back because I felt very unwelcome.

My favorite place! I've been going here since their grand opening. Nice guys and the 2 girls who work there are super nice and do a great job.

This specific Barber Shop was the best barber shop business locally I have ever had a haircut from in my entire life time that would be considered worth the price and high quality barber haircut local service. The staff are cool, chilled, friendly and make your hair cut appointment experience both relaxed and at quite peace every visit time.

The Barbers are younger and chatty friendly guys that always keep a great conversation going during your haircut customer experiences. This specific location for barber shop does a great service for haircuts for kids just as they do great haircuts for adults.

Haircuts are always reasonably priced with a high quality haircuts with zero customer complaints and concerns of any kind. If you want a adult haircut in a very specific manner, you get those same results with paying reasonable haircut prices. Mala is really good at fading but unfortunately a lot of the other barbers that work that are not as experienced in cutting hair or even fading.

DO NOT EVEN TRY THIS PLACE! The amount of time they spend for you is ridiculously low and the barber did not have the most basic knowledge and experience in hair dressing! When I mentioned the mistakes he acted rude, stopped making conversations and just wanted to get rid of me. He spent only 10 minutes working on my hair. I would rather spend 40$ instead of 19$ to just have a cleaner cut!

Most of the staff are pretty good, usually 30 min wait minimum.i would have given 4 or even 5 but not all staff are same level of skill.be picky

We bring both our kids to Mala for their cuts and its always smooth sailing. He is very patient and everyone is welcoming. They make it comfortable not only for children of any age but for anybody who walks through those doors. I recommend Mala Fades to anybody looking to get affordable cuts. He also has locations in Burnaby and Surrey!

Today I'm sad to leave a low review. I've been getting my haircut here all year. The past 3 times I got different styles by different staff and always left happy because they all did a great job but today it was the biggest hair disaster of my entire life. I went for a scissors only haircut, it looked good on the mirror but when I got home I noticed it was completely uneven. Longer parts on the back very short at the front, lost all volume I wanted to keep on the top. Sides and lower back very neat, he took good time and detail there but overall my hair is destroyed. Guess I will look for a different place for scissors and come back for fades here, last I got was fire.
