Man Cave Barber Shop

I came into today thinking I’d get my haircut back to how I wanted I didn’t and I specifically asked the barber can you please cut faux hawk to a skinfade ignored all my instructions said my hair looks like it’s going over to one side and I explained I had it cut on my vacation can you please fix it at the end nothing and when I asked again to cut it short so my hair stands up so I don’t gotta fix it in the mornings he’s giving his input on how he thinks it would look just better this way I normally go with someone else when I’m at Mancave but she’s not in till Wednesday now I’ve got to go somewhere else and get the top fixed my hair at the top looks like I got a trim I’m not happy at all

I always goto mancave ever since for the last 4 years and have never had one single complaint of my hair being messed up, all the barbers do an amazing job.
But yesterday I had my hair down by a fellow who I think was a new and super friendly and nothing against the way he does hair, but I asked for my hair to be a cut with a #1 all around the side of my head so basically bald to the skin and it's how I always have it done but theguy kept not doing what I asked for several times had to be like hey I would like it shorter multiple times, after about the 5th time of me telling him to cut it shorter I finally just was like play whatever and pay and left, I didn't feel like my hair was done how I usually got it done so I cale back and asked for another barbers to fix it and the guy named Aladdin I think it was did an amazing job at fixing it so thank you so very much I appreciate it

I went in today for a haircut. This was my first time going here and I had mixed reviews about other salons in the Metrotown Mall. Milad was my stylist and he does a perfect job. I asked him where to make it short and leave it long on the top and my results were exactly what I wanted. I will be comin back here again

This place is the worst barbershop you can go in the metrotown area.
1) they charge 1.5% convenience fee! For card payment. That’s extremely greedy and predatory as a business. This place is already expensive and now they want to charge unprofessional fees to the customers.
2) they do not follow health and safety guidelines. I commonly see staff NOT sanitize and clean the equipment which increases risk for infection and disease.
3) barbers try to constantly “upsell” you with services without telling you the price.
4) do yourself a favour and go somewhere! This place is not good for your pocket or your health!

I came on Sep 23 2023 between 3: 30pm and 4: 30pm. I have gotten bad cuts throughout my life but never got frustrated enough to leave a review before I got a cut from Ayesha.

The height of the fade on the sides is uneven. The right side is way higher than the left side. This is because she started doing the right side first, when the parting on my hair is on the left side, and she went way too high on the right. Every other barber knows to start on the left which is my parting side, so they know how high to fade it.

For the fade she never even used the sheers. She used the 1 guard for the bottom of the sides, and then didn't use any guard to fade it. I really don't know what she was thinking.the right side is now way higher and shorter than the left side.

For the top I told her do not shorten the length, just thin it out. Somehow a bunch of the length is gone from the front.she went over thinning out the front like 6 times.

The whole haircut took less than 10 minutes. The whole time I could tell she was not giving much thought to it and just rushing through it.

I get a wash as I always do, and she just douses my head in shampoo. Getting into my ears, down my neck. After the wash there was still soap down my neck.

While blow drying my hair, she got a comb with white residue on it. While brushing my hair there was a big chunk of white stuff she was brushing through my hair. Does the brush not get washed or cleaned?

I came to Mancave for Johnny back in 2017-18 consistently every 2 weeks. Never had an issue. After he left, i still came here and there throughout the years and gone with different barbers here; while it was not always perfect, at least they never rushed it and took their time and effort. I had Steven the last 2 times and he was awesome. But Ayesha is a complete nightmare. I can't believe she even works at Mancave. I really don't know what to say anymore.

This is the first time I've ever left a bad review for a haircut and the first time I've never left a tip for a haircut as well.it was that bad. Back when i came to see Johnny here, I've always given him at least $20 tip, the most I've given him was a $70 tip after he cut his break short to accommodate me when I was in a rush. Cause the service he gave me there was worth every penny. Now you guys are hiring barbers like Ayesha? I would literally pay for Ayesha not to cut my hair. She should not be working at Mancave.

I’ve been coming to the man cave for a while now, i am deaf and i appreciate how Dave communicate with me using sign language, he only knows a bit, but its enough to get a wonderful cut, thanks

Been seeing this place for years. Yaletown and Metro town locations. Amazing team phenomenonal service. Ramses at metro. Sam and ninja at yaletown for sure. Definitely wonderful and friendly staff!

Marten from metrotown is the man! He took a man like me and made me look and feel handsome! Thanks Marten (hope I got spelling right) you made me feel like I was 20 and ready to club it. Great ideas for change. Never looked so good at 42! Loyal customer for life. PS: hot towel shave! Time to pamper ourselves boys! The best!

Worst place to be at. I booked myself with Evan, while he was cutting hair and let the receptionist know that I was in with break from work, she told me not to worry and I am next in the queue, what happens next is I have been waiting there for 45 minutes after Evan was done with a customer and I asked whats going on and was told he went on the break. I mean if he was scheduled for a break, I should have been told before hand rather than making me wait.

Short Iranian Lady, in her 40s maybe, treated me like a prisoner. I showed her a pic of the haircut i wantd and she was not even ready to see it properly. She was rude all the time. She took 5 mins to cut my hair and was so dissatisfied by her. Never thought of Man cave to be this low at Customer service. Please stay humble and treat customers like customers.

Been in vancouver for almost 3 years. The worst haircut ever.never go here is want a good haircut or even beard trim. If there was a rating lower than 1 star I would give that

I went to get my haircut this morning June. 29 and the lady barber came to the front and skipped my name, her coworker told her there is another client first which is me but she refused to call my name, her name is Talee

First of all, you have to have enough time to wait for your favorite hairdresser. We waited for an hour but told us that the hairdresser had something to go out. How can so many people come to cut such customer service? It wastes my time, and the cutting is not very good. The reception staff is so bad, I won't be coming back

Worst place for a haircut. Barber hardly even spent 5 mins for $25 haircut and result is even worst.

The worst place ever for kids. Rude treatment and verbal abuse. I never will take my little one back again there and I not recommend it.

My 6 years old son, came in for a haircut last April 1st, 2023 and I had informed the staff that he is on the spectrum and I asked for a barber who would be patient and understanding.

Unfortunately, the barber who attended to my son (third chair on the left, white t-shirt) was not as accommodating as I had hoped. He handled my son's face roughly, causing him pain by pressing too hard on his cheeks not once, but twice. I did not say anything at the time, thinking it was an accident and that he might have misjudged his strength. However, during the haircut, my son tried to communicate with the barber, and the response he received was dismissive and impolite. He shushing my kid all the time he tried to talk. Any kind of sound that my son made and he shushing him in a very rude way. This caused my son to become distressed and cry throughout the remainder of the haircut.

As a parent, it was heartbreaking to see my son go through such a traumatic experience at your establishment. I had specifically chosen your barber shop because of the understanding and patience I had hoped your staff would show towards individuals with special needs. However, the treatment my son received fell short of my expectations, not only with special kids need, with all people. That treatment was totally incorrect in so many ways.

Update: I don't know why the manager asked for an email with more details if they are not going to answer them. I sent the requested email and I didn't get any reply back. Very disappointing service.

Update: emails are still unanswered, and to answer your message here, when you explained to me "The barber who attended to your son was not being rude. In fact, she was trying to calm him down by entertaining him with funny stories and jokes". I think that you are mistaken, it was a man and not a woman barber and he wasn't making jokes or trying to make fun stories, he didn't even talked with my son during the haircut. He only shushing him and "no" him all the time. No fun stories. No trying.

Please don't lie.

Today, I got my haircut by Steve for the first time, and it was unbelievable. He was super professional and fast, plus kind and friendly. So happy that I found my favorite barber shop after 2 years in Canada.

Terrible cuts, wish I would’ve learnt by now. Every time I go I think “maybe it’ll be better this time, ” but it never is. Feel free to take the gamble.

The tunisian barber does not know how to cut asian hair and just want to get the job done. Worst service ever, barely communicating. Jan is way better

The experience has gotten way better over the last few years. They've set up a check in system to keep track of guests, they post the wait list and will text you when they're ready for you. The consistency of the haircuts across all their barbers has also gotten way better. I've had great haircuts nearly every visit.

Took my autistic son here today (March 26th, 2023) and the barber (don’t know his name, far left 2nd seat) did his best despite my son’s low tolerance of haircut. My only complain was about the female hairdresser behind us who was “shushing” my son every time he makes a fuss or cry while having the haircut. I even heard her say that “the noise coming from my son was hurting her ears” and she kept saying stuff and complaining. I wasn’t really sure about the other stuff she was saying because at that time I was just focused on having my son’s haircut done because he was getting impatient. Also, my son was sitting on my lap during the haircut so I couldn’t deal with her. I’m so glad she wasn’t the hairdresser assigned to us! I was gonna say something to the owner or manager but wasn’t sure which one is in charge and my son was in a rush to get out of there. To that female hairdresser with long curly hair, BE NICE! Especially to people with disabilities. Or just be nice to people in general! He was having a hard time with the haircut and you complaining about him crying isn’t gonna help. You could use some compassion towards other people. Maybe educate yourself and not be IGNORANT when people with disabilities go to the shop.

i waited 45 minutes and paid 30 dollars for the worst haircut of my life.never again will i come to man cave.i asked for a bit off the top and a mid tapper and basically got a buzz cut 0 out of 10.

Nahla has a great talent for curly hair. I can’t feel her hands and the results are incredible. I really enjoyed her job.

I was getting a haircut and i asked my barber to cut 2 cm off of the top then, she starts to cut 2 inches.i also asked for a taper.and when i got home i noticed that she didn’t even fade the taper.it still looked unfinished and unprofessional.the barber shop is called man cave.why are they hiring 40 year old women that barely know what i’m asking for.i also have curls and when she combed my hair to trim it she did it very rough at it was painful to my scalp.the shop has a lot of potential just some employees are not the best.and the prices are super expensive considering your not even the one in control of your haircut

They gave me a good haircut and it was a very pleasant experience with the staff. Everything was done smoothly.

There is a barber his name is danyar he is the best barber, best hair cut I ever had with him I hope everybody even once go to try it.

Had my hair cuts from Ramses for awhile now.
Very personable and good cuts every time. He does a great job of asking questions during the cut to ensure you are getting exactly what you want. Will keep going back due to the great cut and service.
