Just stopped for road snacks and a biff break. Very nice place though with friendly staff.
02 August 2023 18:32
A great hotspot for sightseers, lodge, camping, swimming, hiking, ski hill, backcountry adv, take the time to go up to the lookout.both of them.well worth it.
22 July 2023 18:01
Stopped here to stretch our legs. Washrooms were clean While a busy place there was plenty of parking.

Wanted to say a big thank you to the staff at Manning Park resort. We were a group of unfortunate 7 that got trapped in the road washout Sunday nite and ended up hunkered down here for a few days. Despite the craziness you guys were awesome and did a great job supporting as best you could. Much appreciated. It made an unfortunate situation much better
15 January 2022 21:55
I was fortunate to find a room here while I was trapped due to recent mud slides. I didn't know it existed before my stay but I will be back for sure (under better circumstances). The staff was so friendly and well organized considering we were isolated for a few days.

I haven't yet visited Manning Park, but had a fantastic experience with Brooke and Crystal (one worked in reservations and the other, Alpine) who were very helpful with facilitating a cancellation due to the higway closures.

Your Customer service was excellent. Prompt, friendly and resolved my issue fairly. Good people, doing good people things:)

You have earned a customer for life and I haven't even been yet!

I Love Manning Park! So Gorgeous all year round. The Roads always need work, but that is true of that entire Highway. Even with the Construction, it was a beautiful drive.
I also Love the Shop at the Lodge. Great Gifts and the Coffee is Decent!
27 December 2021 10:49
Beautiful place to stay with nice staff who are extremely helpful and kind.:)
Thank you guys.
20 December 2021 11:17
Nice place we went for lunch and was not disappointed. The prices a tad on the high side, but the quality made up for it
12 December 2021 15:02
Best resort to stay in the region from hope to Merritt to Princeton. Rooms are cozy, have all the Basics and there's a restaurant close by. During the floods of the Fraser valley when the highway got shut down, they accomodated our friends and helped them out while they stayed there.
Great job to all the staff that helped out.
05 December 2021 5:28
Check-in is stated as 4pm but my party wasn't able to get into our unit until 5: 45.
Furnishings were very worn but kitchen utensils (pots, pans, plates, glasses, etc) were all in good condition
27 November 2021 6:40
I just wanted to leave a review and express an overwhelming gratitude. I had booked for december, but with how devastating that storm was I couldn't justify taking up any time on that highway, or what's left it. They canceled my stay very promptly which I appreciated with the state of things. I asked how they were golding up and she told me they housed many stranded people and for that my views on the resort are so very high. I was told they opened a big room with mattress's on the ground and got people safely on their way home once it was safer. All I can say is THANK YOU!

I'm looking forward to booking in the future. Keep up the great work, it's appreciated!
20 November 2021 16:53
Stayed at the King suite as that was the “last” room available 1-2wk prior to our DEP. Room was clean but dated. No requested to show vac-passport. Free wifi was weak but with additional $3/device upgrade to premium wifi was ok. Resort was packed this weekend (golden larches time). Reception staffs were friendly and helpful. Too bad no convenient shop except the liquor store/restaurant opposite the entrance that only opens at 8am.
17 November 2021 22:43
We still haven't made it to our cabin. Arrived at 2 for our requested possible early check in. Told to come back at 4. At 4 told to come back at 4: 30. At 4: 30 told another 20 minutes. 5: 45 and still not in.
14 November 2021 0:48
I booked a standard cabinet for my group of 6 adults. We like this comfortable and relaxing unit that allowed us to cook with sufficent cooking pots and utensils provided. We all enjoyed our staying during 2921 astronomy event.
14 October 2021 21:54
Well not sure about summer but this place was a do not recommend for summer. The rooms were dirty and falling apart. Tv didn't work, so ended up paying for wifi that didn't work much better. Keep driving through and stay in Hope or Princeton. You could probably find a nice airbnb near by In Eastgate
05 October 2021 11:09
Do not come to this place if you being driving for hours and wish for a goodnight sleep…I special requested for a quiet room…and the front desk put me in a room next to a family of three people with loud radio noise and yellings in the morning…
24 September 2021 3:29
An excellent rest / truck / care stop in the Beautiful interior of British Columbia. There's a tourist information center along with a beautiful hotel / motel with all amenities during a stop along one of Canada's most beautiful drives
18 September 2021 17:51
We were impressed with the resort, and the location There were lots of trails of various levels for hiking. The Park Interpreter was wonderful, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The hotel room was spacious and clean. A real gem, tucked away in Manning Park.
18 September 2021 7:43
Perfect location to be with nature the beauties are everywhere and manning park right in the middle of Hwy 3 to stop relax rest and enjoy the beauty of nature and surrounding area.
15 September 2021 18:28
Handy place to stop for quick supplies. Cafe was closed until traffic picks up. Ground squirrels aplenty, playground for the kids.
06 September 2021 7:31
Drove to Manning from Penticton for a brief vacation. Staff were rally helpful, especially young woman from housekeeping, Ayla. She offered loads of interesting ideas for fun activities.
01 September 2021 13:00
Lovely setting. Lightning Lake and Cascade Lookout a highlight. Rent a telescope and see the stars!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, cabins are very outdated: barely functional. Wifi unreliable and cable TV not working. For what they charge, we expected more. Also, a nice deck with chairs off the
side or back of the cabins would be appreciated to provide some privacy.
26 August 2021 22:49
Great views even better food, try the pork shoulder and you won't be disappointed unless you are a vegetarian.then it'll be very disappointing.
08 August 2021 11:09
Beautiful lake to hike around or kayak on. Has a beach area and picnic tables as well. Parking lot gets full early on the weekend
01 August 2021 16:36
Visited from Kelowna for a few nights. This is our 2nd time and stayed at Delux cabin.

Plenty of towles and well stocked kitchen but coffee machine is tiny so recommend to bring your own or make sure you bring a lot of paper filter with ground coffee as they make only 3cups at a time.

Free wifi is joke. Expect you will be disconnect from connect. You have a option to have strong reception $3/day individual device.

There is also a V12 outlet so our tesla could charge!

For the price of they charge, there are a lot to improve for example, tennis court without a net, cracked ground, swimming pool wasn't open.
Make sure drive up to Cascade lookout and after a few minutes of driving gravel road, you can find great hiking trail!
01 August 2021 12:23
Hampton and lightening camp ground has hot shower and place to charge my phone. I stayed in Hampton multiple times. And I am still impressed with the facilities there, including the kids park, the big sink for washing dishes, the family shower/bathroom, the bike park for my 3 years old. It's a perfect campground for my family's need. Coldspring campground has a nice creek behind it where I went fishing.

We did not book ahead, and still lucky enough to get a walk in spot for the weekend.
22 July 2021 11:26
Cannot wait to see their pool open after renovation. It is an old facility with few band new cabins, many camping sights in the park. Be aware that their Internet is not good, even when you pay for the premium. Our previous stays it was good enough to watch videos but last stay - loading only 10 -15min.and continue loading for more than 5 next few minutes (We were in room 103). In September 2021, they should also open RV park.
There are many hikes around. The most popular is Lightning lake. You also can rent a canoe in the lake, $25 or hour. There are lots of beavers& ground squirrels there and it is very beautiful. The lake is very busy on the weekends.
28 April 2021 7:47
We found lots of black hair inside the sheets and on the pillowcases on three beds in the premium cabin and this dirty bedding has ruined our trip because we were hoping it would be clean during a pandemic. We feel unsafe because we don’t know if the cabin was properly cleaned at all. Our son has a lung disease and this has caused our entire family much anxiety and sleeplessness during covid. We will never return here again.
27 April 2021 0:10
First time here for snowshoeing, the staff was so friendly and helpful.
There was plenty of parking at this time of year.
There are free trails to snowshoe and pass trails too! Many are groomed and perfect for a hike. I paid for a Pass for $10.50 incl tax, well worth it for some fresh air and well kept trails.
I did the Lightening Lake loop and it's a workout and scenic!
During the week is a great time to go if you can take time away from work.
There are also outhouses at the parking lots to use.
I recommend that people pay for a pass anyway for it supports the Park and Resort.
19 April 2021 17:10
Great spot, beds sleep well despite the cabins being 30+years outdated. We rented 3 bedroom cabins, one room with 4 beds in bunks: $400/night in 2021. Value was there, gas fireplace. 15 minutes from the ski hill
03 April 2021 10:48
Ski Resort and staff were Fantastic. Amazing weather. Walk around Lightening Lake was stunning and a must. The cabins were like being in a 70’s time warp! They need a serious face lift and some TLC. Clean is relative and Deluxe is a imaginative stretch. Functional is a more apt descriptive term I would use. Made for a fun trip.
30 March 2021 1:54
Stayed this past weekend at the lodge. First time with my wife and two kids it was so nice to just get away from it all I'm sure it would be so much better if the rink and pool etc were allowed to be open. I'm not sure why I never asked but we never had our room cleaned for three nights I thought it was standard. Especially when you leave the sign on the door. Skiing was great and tobogganing was great. There is a group of local Russians that apparently were not staying at the resort but only there to use the tobogganing hill. When they were told they need to go inside and obtain a pass and pay these people were unbelievably rude and demeaning to a young woman who already didn't have a lot of confidence. These people shouldn't be allowed on the property ever again they were disgusting people. Other than that my only other comments were the beds were very old not very comfortable. The bathtub and sink drain extremely slow. The building is very loud probably because it's older doors slamming taps slamming toilet seats slamming people talking is all you can hear until about midnight or so even early each morning before 7: 00 we're very loud bangs and crashes that would wake you up. I enjoyed my stay and will come back at some point
26 March 2021 14:41
Wonderful peaceful getaway with very accommodating staff. We did the Stay and Play package. There was a couple mishaps, but they were quickly and effectively remedied.
We had a fantastic snowshoe with our puppy too.

I would definitely recommend Manning Park Resort for a getaway?
26 March 2021 14:12
Hello Manning park
I’m wondering why your pools are still closed due to covid when so many other hotels and resorts in BC have found a way to open theirs by setting up a booking system for their guests to use the pool. Why can’t Manning park?
24 March 2021 1:08
Alwwaayys love this beautiful place! Small and quaint but an old school ski hill you can have a ton of fun at that has beautiful scenery. Hard to find a better place for a bluebird day!
17 March 2021 8:55
We went to the Nordic Centre where there was some free tobogganing. A great in expensive way to spend time with the family. Take a snow shovel to shape the hill and make ramps:)
15 March 2021 1:36
Small hill with local vibe and good snow for its location. Almost always escapes the rain that can hit the lower mainland hills.
14 March 2021 8:05
Went there for cross country skiing. The rental process was easy and they seemed to have pretty solid Covid protocols in place.
12 March 2021 14:41
Staff was rude everything is over priced, they make you were a mask but don’t provide them and expect you to pay for a fancy one, professional scammers too
07 March 2021 9:55
Manning is always amazing. Staff are friendly, food is great. The trails are well groomed the snow is plentiful and the people are socially distanced. The wildlife is wild and the campers are happy. The road conditions vary bit the park does a great job of keeping the roads clear and operational. Happy trails.
03 March 2021 16:29
Small mountain but good value for money. The advantage with small ski resorts is that you can ski in and out of your vehicle, as plenty of parking spots are only a few steps away from the lift. I have a season pass and it's such a treat to spend minimal time waiting for the chair lift.
18 February 2021 2:58
We're there for sledding and fun at lightning lake. Lots of snow. Tourist shops are open and clean and safe. As always the bathrooms are good too when you have kids with you lol. Great in the summer too.
24 November 2020 19:40
Lightning lake has a beautiful backdrop, water that looks like glass first thing in the morning. The trail around the lake is also worth exploring. Pinewood restaurant has amazing food, something for everyone.
13 November 2020 15:22
Beautiful park. Family camped at Lightning Lake, we stayed in one of the cabins near the hotel. Was very impressed with how clean they were. Lake was gorgeous.
11 November 2020 12:12
Nice spot to stay nestled int he mountains. While th cabins don't look like much from th outside they are large, clean and well equipped
07 November 2020 3:35
Social distancing measures were in place. Had clear signs that indicated no-touch contact with products being sold. Prices at the grocery store/market were a bit pricey, but since it’s the only one available in the immediate vicinity.
31 October 2020 6:15
Unfortunately, the chalet was dirty and in disrepair. The dishwasher was filthy. The filter, etc had broken glass and crud so thick it was no wonder the kitchenware was disgusting. It worked much better after I took it apart and cleaned it — just what you want to be doing on holidays, right? !? I understand that it’s a rustic location but perhaps if the chalet was better maintained the mice wouldn’t be an issue?
23 October 2020 11:34
Not sure how it is, everytime we try to book, the phone is busy and no one ever calls you back.
21 October 2020 21:51
Where do we start.the rustic cabins are very very rustic.to the point of come on! Give them a facelift!
I’m Sorry to say but we could not comfortably stay in one of these “rustic” cabins. When we spoke to Beatrice at the front desk she said sorry nothing we can do there are no other cabins that are clean and there is nothing we can do. So here we are stuck hours from anything else at a place where there were hardly any other patrons. We could not leave because they would charge us for both nights even if we didn’t stay! Yikes! We asked to speak to a manager and a LOVELY lady came out and got us set up in a very clean and nice cabin 10X better than the rustic one. Please learn not to say “no we can’t” “no that’s not possible” and learn how to say “let’s see what we can do”
The dining was good! Wings were great and the burgers were HUGE! All in all we had a good time other than Beatrice at the front desk. Had we received a better reception and a nicer room it would have been 5 stars.
14 October 2020 9:27
Great Hiking and Biking all around and Skiing in the winter (Cross Country and Downhill). Beautiful countryside in nature. Watch out for bears! Accommodations are a little sparse and could use some updates but overall a wonderful place to get away with family, friends or by yourself to enjoy the great outdoors!
12 October 2020 11:44
A great central location for all things one can do in Manning Park. Love staying at the lodge. Dog friendly rooms. Just don't leave them alone.
06 October 2020 0:16
Lodge and cabins in need of renovations for the price per night charged. Beautiful surroundings, hiking trails, picnic areas, lakes. Cabins are very, very old. Same as restaurant. Pub just opened due to covid19 restrictions, cozy place.
04 October 2020 13:23
Took the dog for a great walk. The employees were very friendly and informative. A great place to enjoy everything British Columbia has to offer.
04 October 2020 1:49
Do not go on the similkameen River trail with bikes. It is in their mountain biking brochure as a easy trail but it is not. Part of the trail includes a bridge however that bridge was washed out 10 years ago. There are a number of trees blocking the trail. We spoke with the visitor information center and told them our plans. We were told to leave our vehicle at the end of the trail for when we are done. No mention of the status of the bridge or trail. We were 30 mins from having search and rescue called when we didn't return. We ended up turning around and it was a 5 hour ordeal. Can't even get the visitor center manager to return our call. Not impressed.
18 September 2020 13:48
It's a perfect place to forget about your routine and recover energy in a remote location. Plus the staff is very helpful and friendly
