Nice park, clean public washrooms in South Van. Without the pool in the off-season though, not much here.

Who doesn't love a dip in the summertime!

Pros- Lots of parking. I love the whole reservation system so you know you would never be turned away if they are at max capacity. Lots of green grass to set up your towel territory. Perfect pool for little kids as there is no real "deep end". Maybe hits deepest at 5 ft. Not even.

Cons - you get constant wafts of toilet. As my kid said after we parked our car "it smells ugly here". No concessions. So pack a snack! No slide for the bigger kids.

Good times still. Water is still water to the kids. They think it's the best thing since sliced bread even without the bells and whistles that us adult like to have.

Love this pool. Lots of grass for laying out blankets and setting up a picnic with kids. Peaceful, hidden gem.

Very nice place to enjoy the summer. Book online for a guaranteed spot on the pool or test your luck during a busy week at the drop-in queue.
Bring your sun shade umbrella, I don't remember any place you could use to hide from the sun.
The pool isn't to deep, and is make for kids and really young ones, my niece is only two and loves this place.

A great little park with a picnic/BBQ area, children's playground, bathrooms, a large outdoor pool, pull up bar and rings for some calisthenics. My attraction to the park was the giant old growth stumps that remain as a reminder of this ancient area.

Very nice. There's a small pool, washrooms, picnic tables and a lot of big shade trees.
Awesome!

Perfect pool for babies, toddlers and children. I'm 5"2 & the deepest spot came to my waist. Gentle slopes into water and shallow parts perfect for splashing and sitting. Shaded spots under trees on the grass around the pool. Porta potties for bathrooms - no change facilities

Need to buy tickets online! Check the times before going. It is definitely a family place, great for kids! The pool is not deep, not for swimming.

A real hidden gem in the city. This small outdoor pool pulls at your heart strings and reminds you of your own childhood in the very best ways. Staff is friendly, water is warmish, and the kids love it. Great and affordable place to spend time with the kids.

Great family friendly community pool. Lots of kids & happy noise in the summer. Shade can be scarce. Bring cash $ for the concession stand.

I have loved and enjoyed MGP most of my life. Huge cedar stumps show the size of the former forest. It's well treed, with a playground, picnic and bbq area, baseball diamond or two, room for soccer and running about. The child's wading/ swimming pool is enclosed by wire fencing, pristine and open from Victoria to Labour Day with lifeguards. Parking is sometimes problematic. Bathrooms and change areas are clean.

Always a favourite, particularly with families. Nostalgic, frankly. I grew up a few blocks away, used to go there as a kid with my mom and then with friends as I got older. Still a wonderful place and well kept. Enjoy your children!

Filled with tall graceful trees, Maple Grove is a wonderfully tranquil place for a stroll or picnic. Massive tree stumps scattered through the park, aesthetic in their own right, are reminders of the temperate rainforest that once covered much of Vancouver. The outdoor pool is a popular summertime destination, with people of all ages enjoying a swim in the sparkling waters.

This property was purchased from the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) by the Municipality of Point Grey in the early 1920s and originally named Bowser Park after Francis Bowser, second Reeve of the Municipality. In 1944 the Park Board was petitioned to change the park’s name to Maple Grove in recognition of the beautiful trees found on the site.
