Dear Mr. Dalton,

I’m a peaceful Canadian citizen who immigrated here in 2004, then married the one and only Michelle Rainey in 2005. The US DEA, in conjunction with the RCMP arrested her, Greg Williams and Marc Emery 20 days later. (for selling seeds)!

Michelle succumbed to cancer on October 20,2010 - just 3 months after I became a citizen of this wonderful country. As heartbreaking as this sounds, I lost my girlfriend last November as well. Now I’m a double widower at only 57 years old. Yep, hard to believe. This order in counsel is a direct affront to my property and liberty. I’m also a US Army veteran, who proudly served from 1981-1983. This OIC and the amendment G4 isn’t democratic at all.

In 2015 I trained and received my PAL & RPAL and have enjoyed target shooting for relaxation, entertainment and investment.

The “OIC” really hurts. No longer can I enjoy my weapons or ranges.

It’s like another big chunk of my heart has been ripped from my body. (AGAIN).

There was no warning no chance to fire them one last time.

Additionally; the day before the OIC was published I had just purchased upgraded equipment amounting to over a thousand dollars that became irrelevant overnight.

I truly purchased the firearms for investment and relaxation.

Now I can do neither!

Immediately after Trudeau made the OIC, I went to Wanstalls and asked for advice…

They said to vote for you; so I did.

That’s my story.

Thank you for your time.

Sure hoping this all gets overturned and sorted sooner than later.

Have a nice week, mister.

Your constituant.

Dan and his team helped me resolve an issue I’d had with CRA for seven years. They were so patient and understanding and worked diligently over a two month period to help resolve the issue. I was so pleased and grateful for all their help. It was an incredibly positive experience.

I know Dan personally having frequented his coffee shop often prior to his entering politics so I know him a little bit better than many others. I always considered him a very respectable person and that has not changed one iota since he took office, even though I disagree with decisions & actions his party has made that went against promises and/or things that matter to me.

That aside however, I fully acknowledge that Dan Ruimy has done an excellent job representing this constituency, far superior to the louse that held office before him, and I greatly admire & respect his donating his business to a local charity when he took office. I may or may not vote for him this election depending on my conscience & how things are looking on our political landscape but that aside, I fully endorse him as an outstanding individual who really goes to bat for this constituency & the average Canadian. You have my heartfelt respect Dan; keep up the great work - I wish you all the best come voting day.
