Market Square

There’s some solid food stores, and some interesting boutiques, but they all tend to be the same kind of gift shop/accessories type thing. If you do go, I would recommend Ayo’s Eats because they serve up the best Indonesian food I’ve ever had

Great place with many businesses around the square from waffles for breakfast to lunching at Green Leaf to happy hour and/or dinner at the Drake or Whistle Buoy Brewery! Don't forget the shopping at the unique gift stores close by!

Nice place - fun stores to explore; restaurants and bars located inside; has great seating area in the middle (it's a square of shops)

Very cute place that becomes more lively in the middle of the day. Be mindful that most shops seem to open between 11h00 and 16h00. Which was a bummer for us that visited the place at 10 on Sunday! We simply walked around the small downtown and came back later ️

A large open-air area with many unique shops to wander through. The beautiful brick construction is so lovely! There are a few levels, accessible by stairs. You can capture some nice photographs here. Apart from some novelty shops, there are a few restaurants with patio seating here. A good place to meet up with friends or to explore on your own!:)

The market is adorable and contains a brewery and restaurants. The ambience is great and it's tucked away in the heart of Victoria.

I have been visiting the vegan restaurant for over 15 years. It's a must go on my visits. Simple good food. You pick what you want and it gets weighed at the end.

Nice little market area with a vegan restaurant and outdoor patio seating. It is an enclosure from the rest of the street which is nice.

Lots of the stores and restaurants on street level were only accessible from the outside making it pointless to browse from the inside of Market Square. There were a couple of bars in the middle of the market that I did not stop at.

I love this open market boutique concept. Great to explore. I liked the bead shop and the Strange art shop

Nice little square surrounded by boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Great for Sun when it's not quite warm enough for the beach

Great place to hang out, read a book, do a little shopping, and enjoy some of the world's best craft beer.

Beautiful shopping and dining area in downtown Victoria. Despite the bustle outside, it's always relaxed and mellow. Lots of selection, but we highly recommend "Little Shop of Strange. " Best store ever and fully loval!

One of my favorite places to visit in victoria. Sat at whislebuoy and had some beer and fresh shucked oysters from the wandering mollusk. Amazing

Enjoyed Christmas carol stylings, brought to life from the bells of tubas and french horns. It was magical to sit amid a square full of Canadian Christmas cheer.

Absolutely loved taking my wife there and explain about the shops and how long some of them have been in business as well as exploring all around every time you think you have found the last shop another pops its head out. Excellent place to shop, eat and have fun.

Cool little centre with a bunch of independent shops and cafes. Loved the brewery, and the overall culture in and around here.

Market Square is a fun tucked away shopping centre with a good variety of stores. Very historic place so good for just wandering around and browsing if you have time.

Nice and cool place. Pleasant ambience. You may find lots of small business places but now reduced. You would love to walk around.

Really cool location to browse. Has a great selection of small businesses. Great vibe in the main square. Check out green cuisine for a great vegetarian meal.

This place has an interesting shopping layout. I havent spend enough time there to give it a proper rating but it's a nice, unique place with some great shops.

Lots of great places here. You can learn to make jewelry, eat, go to the bead store, buy some clothes etc.

Lovely little square to walk around and shop. I came on a statutory holiday so not all of the shops were open but I still enjoyed it. Not as big as I expected.

Market Square has limited shops and isn't what it used to be. If you do go i highly recommend stopping by for some AYO.

Such a nice area to eat and to check out little craft shops! We stopped for a drink and bite at Darcy's. It was so good!

Nice place, as a Montrealer i would say it looks like old Montreal sans le côté français. But very nice.

Very pleasant venue. Well supported location with multiple interesting shops and food locations. Great selection of Beers and light food fayre at Drakes Bar. The internal quadrangle is beautiful with plentiful seating and lots to see.

Great place to stop and have a coffee, waffle or indulge in a lovely vegan buffet! Really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere amid the rush of the streets around

Ok so I gave this a 3 stars only because nothing was ooen by the time we found this gem.but if it was I think I would really enjoy it here. The vibe even when nothing was open was super cool. Neat area. Next time I visit ill go when its open and rate again

Hit the Drake for a great selection of craft beers and very decent food. The outside patio is great as well. Awesome servers.

Quirky place, lots of niche shops and cafe/bars. Central area to sit and eat or watch the world go by. Accessible from different sides and floors so make sure you see it all. Bought some very amusing greetings cards here. Good place if you like something a little off the beaten path.

There is so much to do we'll be returning soon. Very much enjoyed the Buskers Festival with live comedy, dance, singing, and aerial displays. Great for families and anyone who enjoys visual arts and/or food.

Stepping into market square is like wandering into a movie set. It’s amazing, you don’t see open concepts like these nowadays. There are benches to sit and relax. But if you fancy a meal, there are great options on site.

Highly recommended, just a minute away from fan tan alley

Market square has been around for along time, several stores and shops have come and gone over the years but this little jem has alot to offer with a great location the atmosphere is fantastic whether there is something going on or not, great food at good prices, people so friendly, find a seat and take a break it's awesome here!

Market Square has seen better days. Victim only to the shifting economic tides of the day. It is a beautiful setting.could be utilized to be an extraordinary venue. I used to love just sitting there enjoy the local fare and people watch. It's such a cool space!

Market Square have some great little shops. It has a waffle shop, camera shop, a Wiccan shop, a bead shop, a bike shop and some restaurants too. Plus great place to come sit down relax for a little while as you have your lunch.

Good selection of unique little shops. Next time I'm there I am definitely going to have to try the Belgian waffle icecream place. I do NOT recommend kid sister icecream. That one is really pricey and the product is not worth it. Yuck

Lovely outdoor space. Public seating. Great events. And the Drake Pub/bar is a great place to sip a beer while watching the Market Square passersby.
