Where do I start on this pleasant exercise of buying a new car (HR-V) from Marv Jones?
Firstly, we’ve been dealing with Marv Jones since 1997 when my wife bought her Odyssey; even prior to that we’ve been using the services of Marv Jones for the maintenance of her old CVCC? 1982 Accord so that makes it even earlier, say 1991 when we got married. We got the Odyssey, an Element and recently, an HR-V from Marv Jones.
The experiences have always been pleasant and happy. This dealership has always shown efficiency and proficiency in both car sales and service maintenance with their good mechanics.
The recent purchase with the assistance of Roberto Escobar was very pleasant also; he was very helpful and professional together with the sales/finance team of Nick, Jay and Sabrina - they coordinated very well. I’m quite sure the maintenance services our new car will need over time will be the same high quality that’s been given to us over the years.
The dealership knows that despite the appreciable distance their place is to ours (21kms, one-way) we still do that “crusade” every maintenance point because we know their services have been consistently top notch.
We take note of this & appreciate it.

Recently bought a Civic Sport from this dealership. Roberto was very quick to respond to my queries and made this a very smooth process. Sabrina in finance was also really helpful. Dealing with these guys was a breath of fresh air after the experience I had just had at one of the other Honda dealerships. Would definitely recommend!

Was pretty disappointed when I went in in-person last October to put in my name in the queue for a 2024/2025 Honda Civic Hybrid, and they took my name down, but I was never added to any list.

Phoned them again to double check and Ayden was able to help me out and it seems like he did put me in a list this time. I'll check again in February to see if they finally have a list going for that particular vehicle.

Bought a brand new 2024 Civic from Roberto at the dealership the other day.
I initially saw an ad for the Civic on Facebook Marketplace, I messaged Roberto about it, I got responses very quickly from him and have been amazed by Roberto's professionalism, friendliness, and no bull approach since. Roberto was very helpful and was able to find me answers about anything I wondered about, and Manager Nick too was very awesome and transparent. Sabrina the finance manager was very nice and thorough with the math side of things. I literally went to 3 other dealerships before coming to Marv Jones, the sales rep elsewhere seemed to promise things they couldn't attain or were very pushy with their approach. I am very happy to have bought my car from Marv Jones. If you need a new car, go here and ask for Roberto!

Was missing plastic cover pieces under engine. They did estimate and ordered all the parts I thought. I had to bring to their attention that they missed a part leaving gap underneath. It was explained that not all honda fits are the same and gap should be there by service guy. They were wrong. I went to parts dept myself to identify missing piece. Now they say they will install it without labor. But they should have caught it in the first place. I questioned mechanic about gap right away but he said he never worked on very many fits and didn't know. I won't be returning.

I brought my car into Marv Jones to be serviced due to some issues I was experiencing.

They were quick to diagnose the issue and had my car back on the road that very same day!

Allan in the maintenance department was very helpful with providing all the details I needed to make a decision regarding my repairs.

I will continue to get my car serviced here, as they are caring, honest and extremely professional!

Do not recommend this dealership. We purchased used vehicle (infiniti qx60) from here but already have several issues. They sold a car with non working seat belt sensor. It’s such a basic safety feature but they failed to notice the issue or they knew the problem but just sold the car without informing us. It should’ve been fixed before delivery. Not responsible at all. Luckily, the seat belt sensor issue was covered by infiniti warranty so it’s been fixed by Infiniti, but now it has the suspension issue and more to come I guess? Obviously they didn’t inspect this car properly prior to selling. We contacted Marv Jones but they won’t do anything about it. Very poor customer service. Honda brand itself might sell. But do not recommend buying any used vehicles here. They have very low standards of safety inspection of the used vehicles. And they don’t take responsibility of products they sold with problems. Do not recommend purchasing cars here.

We went to look at several used vehicles but sales person Kevin was unable to answer basic car related questions. He often said I don’t know. The sales manager Nick made us very uncomfortable as well and gave us very low trade in value compared to other dealerships. Also he was not willing to fix any flaws in used vehicles. Why would you buy cars here? We ended up not buying here. Avoid this dealership!

If I could rate this dealership 0 stars I would.

We towed our Honda prelude here to try and get some keys programmed. They were unable to complete the works and one of the technicians recommended a lock smith who had to cut his own keys because the dealership didn’t do the keys right.

They held our coded key hostage and said they wanted nothing to do with our transaction with the locksmith. They then sent a bill for 360 dollars stating that somebody has to bite the cost for the useless keys they cut.

If a business is unable to produce results on their end and send you somewhere else to have the works completed it is not up to the customer to cover the “overhead”. That’s up to the incapable business. It’s like having an allergy and a restaurant not being able to accommodate that recommending another business and then coming back and charging you triple because they’re unable to serve you.

Wake up Marv jones. This behaviour is unacceptable.

Leaving on a long distance road trip to Tennessee, and forgot to order tires ahead of time. They were able to source and install same day, snd find time to do the oil.

Will definitely move maintenance hear from the other location I was using.and bring in cookies when I'm back for the next oil change in December

There is another dealer close to my house. But I go all the way twice the distance to Marv Jones to service my vehicle. The service team is amazing here. Attention to detail, knowledge or front line staff and skills to fix issues is second to none.

They are so quick and so polite and i enjoyed my experience with their service part.i could follow the process with a text to see when it is done and can go take the car.but, they also called me around 45 minutes before my car be ready. So, I think was good experience.i recommend this place if you are a honda owner and need to fix the car.

Took my car here to do a recall repair. Everything was smooth and well-handled except whoever worked on it left blue powdery fingerprints all over the inside and outside of the car. I have no idea what it is, and thankfully it wiped off relatively easily. I’m guessing this isn’t a common occurrence but it was pretty annoying to have to deal with.

Just want to say this particular location is wonderful. From the staff answering the phone to Alan who worked on my mothers car.
My mother recently was in an unfortunate situation where Canadian Tire did not fix a problem on her vehicle that she had paid for. They left her stranded with a broken down vehicle a day after performing work on it. Thankfully This Honda location helped her out after towing the vehicle there. We are very grateful for Alan and how prompt he was in communicating with me about a bad situation that left my mother very upset. They didn’t take advantage of a bad situation and make it worse. Instead Alan went above and beyond to help us with this bad situation from explaining to Canadian Tire that they in fact had put a faulty part in to a very detailed invoice of the work performed in order to get her vehicle back up and running. Thank you Alan and the team and your location is the place we trust for future business. We appreciate the kind and warm service!

I was visiting family from Calgary and noticed a vibration in my 2012 Accord on the drive over. I brought it in to Marv Jones and the shop foreman (apologies I forgot his name) diagnosed the problem with a quick test drive. Turns out it was bad axels. Greg from the service department was able to find the parts I needed and had it scheduled to fix prior to my return date.

They did excellent work on the car and even washed it (not just wet it, but actually washed the car). It drives like it did when I initially purchased the car. Take notes Calgary Honda dealerships. This is how you build a loyal customer base.

Congrats Marv Jones Honda and their service team!

I might just have to start driving to BC to have my Honda serviced.

Tim in the Service Department absolutely saved our summer road trip. The day before we were supposed to leave, warning lights on our Pilot went off. I drove directly to Marv Jones on a busy Friday and Tim squeezed us in and made sure the issue was fixed. Picked up a nicely washed and cleaned car later that day and were off. Thank you Tim.we will definitely be back!

I am new to Maple Ridge and needed my Honda Pilot to be taken in for a recall for both air bags, seeing as though I needed to go to a Honda dealer for this, I went to this location as it was closest to my house. Airbags were switched out, I got my suv back, and I headed out for a road trip.only to discover my cruise control was no longer working. Directly affected by replacing the air bags. So, I took it back in, annoyed to waste my time, annoyed that staff doing their job could not take enough time and care to do the job properly the first time.when I told the customer service rep, he asked me how far into this I want to go. Well, it worked when I came here, so I wanted it working when I left.and it no longer works and it was your staff who last handled my suv. They fixed it.then there was a scratching every time I turned the steering wheel. Yup, so I headed back, wasting MORE of my very precious time to have them fix a new issue. For a "reputable" dealership they seem to have very low standards of the work they do. Air bags turned into 2 additional trips for AIR BAGS! Imagine if I needed my A/C done (I did and went to Glenn Degleman for all my required service) or maybe something done to my engine? ! Common. This is ridiculous. Your all supposed to be professionals! I will NEVER, EVER take my Honda to this location ever again.:)

The people at Marv Jones keep me coming back! Even after moving to the interior last year, I had to return to my Honda family to upgrade my Civic to a CRV. Kevin is a patient and knowledgeable sales man - he treats me with respect and curtesy and I never feel any sales pressure (which is rare to find!) And Jen in finance is Wonder Woman (literally) - she makes it all come together and remains cool and calm through the entire process. I couldn't imagine buying my Honda anywhere else! Rest assured, I'll be back to see you guys again!

Put a deposit on a car. Took 5 days for them to update me on financing. They ended up changing the whole deal to be $200 more a month, and a whopping 21% interest rate. I have decent credit, I had another dealership offer me a rate of 6% on the car i ended up going for. Straight up highway robbery and now the deposit can't even be refunded to my account. I have to wait several days for a cheque in the mail now. Go somewhere else if you dont want to be screwed.

I wanted to buyout my lease at the end of the term, I had the displeasure of working with Jennifer, Finance service manager. Jennifer would not respond to follow up emails or calls.

We were told we had to get the car inspected before we could purchase so we booked an appointment. Inspection takes 3hours to complete - Jennifer, for some reason, doesn't tell us that we cannot complete the transaction today until after we had waited for 3hrs.

I get the feeling Jennifer takes pleasure in wasting peoples time as no apology or resolution was offered.

I had too bring my 20yr old CRV in for a recall service re the driver side airbag.  I was impressed by the service I received. Courteous and professional and I enjoyed the free latte coffee. When I got my car back, the dash, inside front window was cleaned and the floor vacuumed! I was impressed. Highly recommended

Today I had some minor maintenance done on my Honda Civic.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The work was done on time and.there were no bad surprises.
When I left, I was given a colored summary of the various items that might need some work or repair.
Everything was given a green light.
The staff in the repair shop area did a top notch job today.

Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced - from both Marv Jone and Honda Canada. As a repeat customer and Honda lover I can still say I will NEVER buy another Honda after this last experience.

Thanks to Marv Jones and their lack of inspection done on new vehicles being pulled off trucks before selling them, I am now the new owner of a brand new 2020 Honda CRV Black Edition with a HUGE dent in the ceiling. When flagged for Honda they told me they could fix it but it wouldn't be perfect. So essentially, I pay full price for damaged products. That sounds fair right?

Honda Canada is of the stance that it's between me and the dealership.

Worst customer service EVER. Honda as a whole needs some serious training on how to pick-up the phone and communicate with customers.

Everything was positive purchasing my sons first car - from the salesperson right down to the friendly receptionist who made us feel right at home. We were able to negotiate a price we felt was fair, the car was cleaned for us, looks great and they really went out of their way to make us happy. I would highly recommend them.

It took 5 bloody days to send a bill of sale to buy out a leased Honda that was traded in to a Toyota dealership just a block away, which prevented my insurance from being canceled costing me $$$ until Marv Jones' business office finally got around to doing it after several email requests from the Toyota dealership (which they showed me) and 2 telephone calls from me 2 days in a row! Not likely to deal with Marv Jones Honda again as It should have been done in 1 day!

Exceptional sales staff and I will give a 5 star rating on customer service. Had a very pleasant experience with Neil and Butch. Even though the sale did not push through I still highly recommend Honda Marv Jones branch to anyone who is looking for a decent certified Honda vehicle to buy. If you want great sales service look for Neil and Butch (they definitely deserve a good raise!). Keep it up Honda Marv Jones!

This review comes a little late, but better late than never. I LOVE MJ Honda! I purchased my Honda Civic here and have been bringing it for servicing over the last 5 years and I have ALWAYS received such phenomenal treatment. I am always a few minutes late, but I always get greeted with a smile and a 'no worries, it's good to see you! ' I frequently bring enough work to do in their customer's lounge and all of MJ's employees acknowledge me and say 'hi' or briefly chat (these are people that I haven't ever interacted with before). It's nice to be acknowledged, especially with a smile:) The service manager is kind and follows up with e-mails to ensure my service went well. Again, the service staff at the front desk personalize every interaction and keep me updated on things about my car. What I REALLY appreciate is: they inform me of what my car may need, but they never force me to purchase a service and understand when I tell them when my purse strings a little tight. I love this caring attitude. Thanks MJ Honda - PS, the sales team is awesome too!

They confirmed my home test drive appointment with checking my location (25km away). And I was waiting. No showed. Then, I called they said they can't come due to distance (only 15-20km). What a joke. They wasted my time for a day. Very disappointed.

I have never had such a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE in my life. The staff, all great, but the SALES MANAGER, I literally do not have the words. He is the reason I changed my decision NOT to buy the car, a 2012, Red Honda Civic Coupe, which seemed like, according to him, he was doing me a favor or maybe selling for free. I wish someone cares to contact me to know what happened there (obviously for quality management, I am never going back), but maybe they do not because like the Sales Manager said, they are a 'BIG' dealership.

We recently bought a car from Marv Jones Honda and we were scared to go to a dealership because of old experiences where they tried to push us to buy what they wanted and not what we needed but we gave it a try and our experience at Marv Jones Honda was amazing, the best. Derek understood us and helped us find the car that we really needed, his positive and great personality made us feel relaxed and safed, because we knew our credit wasn't great but he made us feel like it was possible because they were going to help us and they did, then we met Jennifer and she helped us with all the financial and once again we get nervous and to our great surprise she also was so positive and great that helped us to relax and enjoy the moment, the same day we got our car
we needed with a very low interest, less that half of interest that other dealership offered us, we were and still so happy for our new car but more importantly with the beautiful and great experience we had with Derek and Jennifer.

MARV Jones Honda is our dealership now.

My Honda Accord was stolen from my driveway, but with some first-class work from the RCMP, I got it back.
Unfortunately, it was in a "does not start" condition, leaving me in a vulnerable "does not know how much this is going to cost" condition.
Marv Jones Honda was short tow distance from the recovery spot, and boy am I glad I took it there.
Comfortable waiting conditions, first class diagnostic work (it was a complex after-market alarm rewiring problem) and yet the boys got me back on the road for under two-hundred dollars.
It is an early nineties model, and they could have taken advantage of me, yet they didn't.
I spent the afternoon at Marv Jones Honda on Monday, April 6,2020; I'll be back!

Rolled my new car back into a poll while doing an oil change. I guess the techs they like to brag about didn't think to put my car in park, the emergency brake on or a block behind my tire. It's crazy that this can happen. I wouldn't even let Marv Jones Honda put air in my bike tires and I recommend everyone else does the same. Beyond horrible.

I recently bought a car from Marv Jones Honda. I dealt with Neil and Butch and i have to say this that i got the best experience that you can expect. No BS, No catch. Everyone was so professional and helped me with everything. You guys definitely have me as a happy customer. I would recommend everyone to see Neil Mccarthy and Butch at Marv Jones Honda if you want to buy a car.

I went to Marv Jones for a warranty work job and they tried to make me pay for something I didnt need to replace.
My cars seat heater stopped working so I went there to get ther coil replaced and they said ild have to replace the cushion as itld be damaged in the repair. I I contacted the Chilliwack Honda where I purchased my car and they did the repair under warranty without any issues. They saved me from paying 500 dollars that Marv Jones said would have to be paid for the cushion that did not need to be replaced at all.
So is Marv Jones full of BS and gouging customer that's up to you to decide. I wont be going to this location again and will advise others to do the same.

Purchased our honda there 2 years ago and it was a good experience. They made it easy and were very efficient! They even drive to your home to update your car insurance for you! Just had our car serviced as it needed a new battery and the service was wonderful! They fixed only what needed fixing and kept me updated the whole time. Thanks!

Brought my 1991 Honda Civic SI with extremely high milage into Marv Jones Honda's service department and this department handled my car with care, and treated me professionally and with a high aptitude of integrity. Both my parents purchased their cars from Marv Jones sales department and had recommended their service. My dad owns a 2018 Honda Civic turbo and my mom a 2015 Honda Fit that they both love. Would recommend Marv Jones for both sales and service.

I bought a used 2017 forester from Marv Jones in February and at the time my buying experience was ok, but as other reviewers have mentioned I was pressured to buy their extended warranties. I declined as i was buying a relatively new vehicle which still had the manufacturers warranty on the vehicle.

Unfortunately when summer rolled around i found out that the A/C was not working as i had not used it in the winter months. I contacted Subaru directly to try and get it warrantied, but i was a few hundred kilometers over the warranty. I then went back to Marv Jones to see if they would do anything because their inspection report when i purchased the vehicle showed the A/C as being functional.

Marv Jones declined to even take a look at the vehicle to diagnose the problem and reminded me I did not purchase an extended warranty.

Overall i would describe it as the typical purchasing experience, but i would not count on them to go the extra mile to provide five star service as they "say" they strive for.

We bought our Odyssey through Marv Jones Honda. After noticing some issues with the brakes and alignment (normal wear on a used vehicle) that we didn't notice right away, I took it back expecting some push back. No problem was the answer and they got it in right away. They machined the rotors and did a free alignment for no charge and NO BS. A couple days later I got a call asking how things were going after the service. 5 Stars
