Mastercare Automotive

Called the shop and was told to bring it in on Thursday morning. Brought the vehicle in and was told they would call when they had a look. Thursday came and went with no call. I called for an update on Friday and was told someone would call me back in 30 minutes. No call. I called again and was told it was my alternator and they were looking for one for me. I called again on Saturday and spoke to an employee who said he wasn't sure what was happening with the vehicle but he'd have the shop owner call me as soon as he got in later that day. No call. Finally came in on Monday to see what wad up and was told they couldn’t find an alternator which is ridiculous. I finally had to have my vehicle towed to another garage as nothing was happening with it at this shop. I had heard good reviews about this shop but after being told I would be contacted three different times and not hearing from them once I can't recommend them for service.
Update - heard from other garage that my alternator is fine and I just needed my serpentine belt and a tensioner replaced. So whoever’s running Mastercare is dishonest and terrible customer service. Highly recommend not entrusting your vehicle with this place…

I recently had the pleasure of bringing my car to Mastercare Automotive and I have nothing but glowing things to say about my experience. From start to finish, the team at Mastercare Automotive were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring.

The quality of the work done on my car was exceptional. It's running like new again, and I'm grateful to the team at Mastercare Automotive for their expertise and attention to detail.

Lastly, I have to mention that as a woman, I felt especially comfortable bringing my car to the same place my mother and fellow teachers now use. The team is respectful and made me feel like a valued customer, which is unfortunately not always the case in the automotive industry.

Overall, I highly recommend Mastercare Automotive to anyone looking for reliable, transparent, and quality car service. Five stars all around!

I’ve heard great things about Mastercare so I came in to schedule an oil change, was surprised that they were willing to do it right away! Not only that they charge reasonably, they also gave me a $5 discount as a first-time customer. I felt well taken care of and definitely not going somewhere else to have my vehicle maintained. Brake line burst unexpectedly while I was driving my kids home from school. My regular mechanic had no slots available for three days. Canadian Tire had nothing until the next day. Limped my van in to Mastercare Automotive and asked if they could take a look. They got me up and running when nobody else would - they even stayed overtime to get it done that day. Great service. I called in the morning, hoping to have an appointment next week and he offered it today. Very fast. He found some problems aside of oil change, came and showed me, and asked if I wanted fixed. And some filter he ordered right away and came in 15 min. Great service. I'm very happy I went there. I'll go next time in the same place.

This place is awesome! My car suddenly had an issue while driving home from White Rock. They took my car in right away and had me back on the road as soon as the part got there. Excellent service and excellent pricing!

I have brought my car here several times and have always found the mechanics to be pleasant and helpful, and the owner has been very understanding and accommodating with my situation. I am low income and rely on my vehicle to make extra money. If it wasn't for Mastercare Automotive I'm not sure what I would have done. I stopped going here because Dave is no longer with the business and the new owners just didn't provide the same level of service. I didn't realize I could edit a review until today. I first met Ilham years ago as he was a family member’s mechanic. I have been going to Ilham and his MasterCare team for a few years with different vehicles. I have always been greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. I have had vehicles towed to him unexpectedly and he always has fit me in. The work he has done has been excellent and I always leave there feeling good about how my vehicle is running. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs a good and honest mechanic. Fantastic place for repairs. The service is excellent, Ilham and the staff are wonderful, I've moved away and I still come back here for repairs. Very trustworthy, professional and great people. I just came back for engine repairs as the service light came on - I dropped my BMW off this morning, got the diagnostics done, I needed a coil and and decided to have them all done - and I pick it up at 1pm today! BEYOND impressed. Not only did they fix my battery and alternator for a very fair price, they also installed a muffler free of charge because they were worried for my safety from the emissions from my old muffler (full of holes). This is a very honest and caring mechanic and I will be using their services from now on.

One of the best mechanic shops in the area, took me right in when I couldnt get an appointment elsewhere, hes now the only place I go. Prices are very reasonable and customer service is excellent.

Our family has been bringing vehicles here for over 30 years! The Manager/Owners have changed over the years but the service, honesty, and integrity has been constant. We learned a long time ago that when they say something needs repairing: It needs repairing. Equally important, when something doesn't yet need repairs, they will tell us. We have always been treated well.

On Saturday July 20th/19, I pulled a 27 ft.travel trailer with an 04 ram 3500 down to White Rock to move my daughter to Edmonton. Along the way, my alternator quit and I kept going on just battery power. She and my wife had brought all of her possessions out to the front of her apartment. We had hoped to load up fast as we hoped to make it to Merritt that night. So I parked on the street and explained my glitch. When I went to move my truck, It would not start again. We were trying to now come up with a plan. Rent a truck? None would allow towing a trailer. Rent a U haul and tow my truck somewhere to be repaired (with a travel trailer) and pick it up when we returned from our trip? I did not think we would get it repaired at least until Monday as it was now the afternoon. My daughter suggested she call Ilham as she trusted him with all her maintenance and repairs. He said bring it down! We jumped the truck with my daughters car and barely made it to his shop. He ordered the part, had it in by 4PM and we were back on track! We made it to Merritt after finally loading up by 9: 30 that night.

I had shopped around for parts and costs of several repair shops in the area including Canadian Tire. They not only beat the price but we were able to get an oil change done and they still beat the price. The service was fast and very friendly. They now have the business of my wife and myself. Has to be hands down one of the best machanics shop in lower mainland. Excellent service honest people. Completely trustworthy. Recomend to anyone!

I went to Ilham and his team to get my breaks fixed and they were so helpful. They charged me half of what other companies were quoting and explained to me that my back breaks only need a clean/file rather than a new ones all together. They fixed the problem and I was on my way in under an hour!

Fast, quality, honest service! I will definitely be going back with all my future car needs.
