Had our Xmas party in the Bud Room. Connor and Ally were welcoming from the start and took excellent care of our whole party. 10/10!

Wanted to like the place as they have pretty good screens to watch games. Regrettably they were short staffed that night and most likely impacted everything from the first greeting to the service and the food. While our waitress was cheerful she was just slammed. Calamari was non existent as it tasted like fried cheerios. My steak sandwich was nasty and the seafood pasta was as salty. Worse of all my beer was warm! We appreciate how the waitress wanted to make things up but we needed to go therefore we had to decline.

Update Oct 2023 to give it another chance. Again disappointed. If you are going to charge an arm and a leg for a puny pizza, don’t skimp on the toppings. If customers ain’t happy to see value and tummy happy how are we wanting to come back?

Hadn't been for awhile, so perhaps things have changed. I used to LOVE the nachos. The price has increased, no big deal, its expected. But WOW. I was not expecting cheese whiz instead of real cheese. I paid an extra $4.00 for beef.but it ridiculous how little there was. I had to ask if they forgot. Do not cut back on quality and increase prices. NOT impressed.

Jill's afternoon lunch service was wonderful. The food was fantastic, had the turkey bacon club sandwich!

Jill took over out table after we were seated, great personality, always had a smile our her face and made our evening enjoyable. Accommodated special drink and food requests and loved her tattoo art work.

Ally and Amanda were amazing! We had the Budweiser room for a birthday party, incredible service by them. Would come again!

Food is generally good. I love the tuna and coconut rice. Burgers are also good. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The service was incredible! Ally was very personable, kind and made the perfect drinks! Amanda remember everyone’s orders and made sure to let us know when our food was ready (we had a room with 20+ people) and even went the extra mile to turn off the lights for the room during the surprise birthday party! 100% recommend!

This was my first time eating here. Not an impressive first impression. My friend and I waited for 30 min before a server even acknowledged us and that was only becasue we had to wave him down. There were only 2 other parties in the restaurant. My friend ordered salad dressing on the side and the salad came dressed. My salad. I had the Thai chicken salad, was bland. I will chalk that up to a bad choice on the menu and not order that again. After being served our server never came round again to check on how our orders were. The only time he seemed the least bit interested in us was at the end when we were paying up.almost to try to butter up for more of a tip. The experience was disappointing. Hopefully by reading this they will strive to do better moving forward.

I came in to enjoy some Happy Hour the other day. I was having the absolute worse day. The bartender (can't remember her name) was SO amazing. It was so nice to be somewhere that there was was a service provider so genuine and amazing. I really needed that.

I had a very unforgettable celebration of my birthday/retirement party last November. Elizabeth and her staff took care of us even though there were about 80 people to look after. Elizabeth has been very patient and understanding to my needs and was open to suggestions before the event so email after email she gave me the reassurance that she had it covered. Their buffet (which she suggested) I was reluctant at first turned out positive reviews from my guests! So thank Elizabeth and staff for job well done. I’ll definitely use you again

Match Eatery at Starlight hosted my 36th birthday party. It was an incredible venue and was absolutely perfect for the occasion. We booked the PPV lounge which has a large screen to watch sporting events, with two more screens on each side of the main screen. The PPV lounge also has its own exclusive bar. Elizabeth and her team did an exceptional job and I would definitely recommend match eatery for your special occasions. Thank you to the staff at Match Eatery Starlight New West

Lovely service, great portions and fresh produce. We enjoyed the club sandwich and the handheld burger with dirty fries.

I had Kyle as my bartender in the budweiser room and he is the manbest of the best real good service

Sherman is the best! Accommodated our table even though it was busy and we didn’t have a reservation. Wore a funky hat to lighten the mood! Will definitely be back! Again and again!

First time going to Match and I would never go back. Our staff Christmas party was held there on a Thursday night. Two people at my table did not receive their food. None of our table received our desserts that we had ordered. The steak was uncooked and the chicken was dry. At the end of the night, my bill was all mixed up, mostly the drinks. I had 3 meals on my bill and I was told it’s the other couples meals because they did not pay. I said okay no worries I’ll pay for it. Later the next day I was told by that couple they paid their bill at the counter before leaving. So it was still kept in my bill even though they paid at the front. Why was the server not notified and charged me for 2 meals? Worst experience, not the place to go. I’ve tried to call the manager almost 4 times but nobody picks up the phone.

Underrated sports bar in kind of a weird area but it's great for watching sports. They've got a great happy hour 3-6pm. Drinks are good, food is average. Lots of room for large groups, but last I checked their hours were still limited so check before you go.

Excellent food and staff The service is and always has been excellent. It is also family friendly.

Was invited to a party in the the smirnoff lounge and it was a really good experience. The food was great and the staff was really friendly.

However I did enjoy the first time I visited, dined inside, food was great, but disappointed since.

Everytime I go to Match I receive the best customer service, food is excellent, drinks are amazing, lots of types of alcohol to choose from

Match is great but people make experiences, Megan went out of her way and above and beyond.she put us in a good mood and made sure we were well taken care of. Her skills are underutilized and she is an asset to any company she works for. If i had a business i would hire her myself.

Had the pleasure of hosting a bridal shower here for a friend. In an already hectic time for a bride, the team at Match were absolutely AMAZING. We were able to privately book the Smirnoff Room & have it setup exactly as required.

This room IS esthetically what you NEED. A modern bright white and gold private bar, high and low top tables, hookups for a DJ booth and small dance floor if you needed. They had lots of great options for canapes/appies & amazing cocktails to boot.

Our bride had an amazing time and had nothing but positive things to say about her event.

My friend had a birthday dinner here with a group of around seventeen people yesterday, and we sat at a big patio space at the front. Our server was very attentive and friendly which I always appreciate when eating with a big group. I was surprised to see a big jenga set and cornhole set up for us to use after dinner! I had so much fun yesterday that I am looking to book an event here in the future. I'm glad to see Match has set up a place to where you not only can have good food and drinks but also space to play games with your friends.

Finally getting around to this review. We had a large group of 22 during U. S. Thanksgiving for a going-away lunch for a co-worker. Even with only one server (Abby), the service was outstanding. Abby never missed a beat and remained very friendly and cheerful throughout all the chaos. The food was very good as well, and enjoyed the football games playing in the background on the multiple screens. Will definitely make this our go-to place for events such as these.

I love this place except. The MMA fight was on Friday night and the volume was so loud it hurt my ears. When the fight was over they continued the music at "Club Volume". Food was good and server friendly. We could hardly talk amongst the 4 of us. My buddy put his work ear plugs in. I'll take my $100 someplace else when the place is that loud. I wonder if Worksafe needs to know about these conditions?

Sunday's are great at the match for football and food. Our server Rachelle is the best ever! Unlike other places where you keep looking for the server for service she came around regularly and checked on what we needed. Didn't have to wait long for food or drinks. She was on it! Thx Rachelle. Wings were good to.

Have ordered several items off their menu on several occasions and everything is delicious! The waitresses are very friendly and helpful. Seating is very comfortable. 10/10 would recommend

My first visit in 3 years and the Sunday Football menu + atmosphere is great. The food is 10/10. Service is warm and welcoming. Restaurant is clean and safe

Great ribs. Good beer - a red from the Island. Ceaser salad, not so good. Just not my taste. Big screen with sound!

The tall girl with dark curly hair was an immense help with getting our bills situated, our group greatly appreciated her help

Went there for a bite to eat 10 pm, server told us Happy Hour menu is on. Every beer they had on the Happy Hour was out of stock, the only one they had was not very good, very light cloudy apple juice color, good thing hubby asked for a sample, ordered Stella instead. Hubby ordered Happy Hour burger with kettle chips, it came to the table, I thought it was the cutest thing ever, burger was 3 inches in diameter, that is usually called a slider at other restaueants, definitely know next time, the kettle chipz were not etible, they were burnt. Ordered a nacho, it came, piled high, all toppings were on top, nothing in between. Cheese was strange texture, no gooey, stringy cheese, it had a sandy texture, I suspect powdered cheese, not so good, yukky in fact. I ordered the Blacken Halibut fish taco, server asked if I wanted one taco for $5 or full order of 3 for $14.75, which made no sense to order one for $5, Happy Hour usually, full meal, discounted during Happy Hour. I ordered the full meal, the halibut was the size of my pinky, hardly a meal at all, no sides came with it. This place used to serve good meals with decent portions. Don't think we will be back again. Server was great.

Service here was amazing, and the eatery was huge. It was spacious and clean. We ordered the seafood spaghettini for special price of $12 but it lacked flavour. The ahi tuna was plain and over cooked.

But the Parmesan wings and tuna stack was great. The pulled pork poutine had a sour taste to the gravy perhaps due to the Guinness in it. But the fries was crispy and pulled pork was ok.

I would come back to explore more on the menu and try the happy hour and try to catch a game

I Took my mom out for brunch a few days ago and the server was absolutely amazing. We come a few times a month and had the new server - tall girl with dark curly hair, I had mentioned it was my moms 68 birthday and when we ordered Deseret she added a happy birthday on top of our plate as well as put a candle in our star berry jar and sang happy birthday. My mom had mentioned it a few times later in the day and just wanted to say it was a very fine gesture. Definitely put a smile on her face. Great service.

The food was pretty good but the place is doing a poor job of table assignment. Our waitress was running around the entire restaurant and out to the patio so service was slow and just got slower as more people arrived. Took forever to get out bill and be able to pay.

Menu is small but decent, however disappointed with the tacos.they dont know how to make sour apple martinis.

The Burger is thoroughly mediocre, the beef dip tastes like canned tomatoes, the Caesar salad had balsamic drizzled on top, they served the jalapeno corn bread undercooked and burnt and the service was lacking. The fries are decent.

The chicken and waffles, while tasted ok, I found it pricey for the 2 tiny nuggets of chicken and waffle and the strawberries amounted to about 1/4 of a strawberry!

Had an amazing experience here. The bartender Jeff even did a magic trick while serving us at the bar. He had style and a great smile. Will recommend my friends to come here.

Used the private Keg Room which was indoors and the patio for a birthday party and it was a great experience.

It was so easy to book with Match and the guests had a great time! The fire pit in the patio was a huge hit. All the staff was great, would definitely host another private event here. They made it every easy during covid to be safe and host an event!

I think the food is most often good, the servers are great and I like having this open again. What gets intolerable is that the smokers are often right by the outside patio which is a shame as it totally ruins the outdoor experience. I have witnessed this multiple times and I've stopped going as management does nothing to enforce it.

Worst customer service ever. In the past the Service was great, but recently my interactions have been terrible. Such good potential. Still super disappointed.

Been here many times. TVs everywhere for all sporting events, and private rooms for birthdays/work parties. Breakfast menu is big, chicken and waffles is delicious.

It was staff function not that well organized. I had a steak mine was ok but a lot of people were not happy with the way there food was cooked

I came here after gambling on saturday night around 11pm with my gf and her 70 year old mom and aunt i loved the happy hour deals the music was loud just the way i like it.nachos where kill.i played some pool and even hit the dance floor.see you again

Food was perfectly fine, but the hostess was awful today. We called to get Valentine's day reservations, and it seemed they didn't actually reserve a table for us. She seated us in this awful seat next to theatre-sized TV playing weird women's wrestling. And we asked for another seat, and she said that there were other reservations (or some other excuse). We were scrambling to find other reservations on one of the busiest nights of the year.but everywhere was full. Finally she said there was a booth available. Not once did she apologize or smile at us. She looked as if she didn't give a sh-. It was clear that she (or someone) screwed up and she didn't care to admit it. I'm not sure how she works there as the first person a customer sees when they walk in. I would've asked to speak to a manager, but it would've made the night worse to complain. At least the server was nice.

We like to watch Seahawk games here, always enjoy excellent food, service and ambiance.the margarita pizza today was just excellent! (not too salty, or dry).

Seems to be well known food quality isn't this locations strong suit. I still come from time to time as they have a nice setup and plenty of seating. I ordered the poutine and asked what type of gravy they use. The server thought it was pork and would check. I went ahead and ordered on that assumption. I can't eat beef and sometimes thats what some places use. Andddd of course ends up being beef. She said she asked the kitchen but neglected to tell me prior. So basically I'm eating an expensive plate of fries at this point. It honestly at that point ruined my night. She gave me 25% off but I don't feel it was satisfactory.

Very disappointed. I have tried reaching out to two separate email addresses and have not heard back from either. I came to this restaurant a couple weeks ago and had terrible service.it is somewhere I come to eat often, as we live in the area. It was a busy night, so I understand the servers were kept busy, but I was ignored for two hours which is completely unacceptable. No one came to tend to us to see if we needed a drink, or to order our meals, or to offer more water. It was after two hours that I had to get out of my seat to find someone that would be able to help us.
I am very unhappy with the service that night and unfortunately makes us not want to go back.

I guess this was the holiday special, steak with spicy shrimp for $29. I will leave it up to you to decide whether this 6-oz steak plate looked anything $29. I asked for medium rare and it came medium well and no one cared to come ask within 5 minutes of being served how the food was so I could send it back. If the place was busy, sure I would be more understandable but it wasn't. Anyways, stick to their appetizers or sandwiches, something that is easier for the kitchen to handle.

Very good choice if you drive by or work around this place to grab your lunch here. Service is good. Foods are in reasonable quality and price.

Promised a private room for Christmas dinner and instead it was given away to another group. Food was good, service was very scarce for a group of 20.

Started coming here because my boss likes it. Went for a Sunday game thinking my boss would be there. Got a coffee because it was so early. Later found out my boss was staying in to watch the game. Guy gave me the coffee for free. Still tipped him. After work beers and pool are good too.

2nd year in a row for company Christmas party at Match. Good food, good venue a casino right next door.

The first time I went to this Match I didn't have a great experience. However the next time I went back the service and food was much much better. GM Russel is extremely sweet and very kind. Bar manager Romel is great and super fun! Definitely recommend to come here for a great night out!

The food was great as was the service. The atmosphere isn't really my thing - you definitely feel like you are in a Casino.

It really felt like we were driving towards a field. It's not a place you would happen to see. You have to look.

Will go back for sure.

Do NOT order any drinks here, I don't know if my cup was dirty, but I was served a drink here and IMMEDIATELY got a sore throat and now feeling like I got a flu. I've ordered food here in the past so I don't think it was that, but it was my first time ordering a drink here.

We held an engagement party in the Keg Room at Match Eatery Pub in New Westminster. The atmosphere and service was excellent, especially due to our amazing bartender and server, Sean & Sandra. Thank you so much guys for making this party go smoothly, we all had a blast. Would definitely hold another event here!

Update - I changed my rating because just after an hour after I left the restaurant I got stomach problems and I still have problems now. The reason could be from the meat which was medium well done or the green beans not sufficiently cooked.

Awesome venue to host a birthday. Many rooms to book for groups larger 30! Nice and intimate also the bar and pub area is pleasantly large and airy. Connected to the Starlight Casino so if your friends go missing hopefully they win big and pay the bill! Cheers!

This place is nice and their food is pretty decent. I find their menu item's names amusing. Stay away from the Caesar salad. (it is de-constructed) Everything else is great! Had their Steak, blackened chicken, chicken wings and they are all delicious. Prices are ok too.

They take forever to seat you and when you finally do get seated the server is no where to be found, the server never ended up even coming to my table, waited for ONE HOUR. I just ended up leaving will never return here again, terrible.

Ford was so so, they put the 5 of us in a cramped booth with little table space. It would have been fine if we were just having drinks but with all 5 of us having meals it was way too small of a space. The service was good when they were there. Not enough table servers. I might give it one more try to see if it's the same as my first experience.

Came here on a Sunday for a friend's birthday lunch. They were extremely slow, the food was terrible and made me sick. They're drinks weren't created properly and were over priced. Never coming here again

They did a great job of organizing/orchestrating a surprise party. All tapas were fresh and tasted great. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re having a big mingle type party!

First time visiting this restaurant we were seated right away in a nice comfy booth our waiter Daniel c was awesome always made sure we had what we wanted and very friendly we both had the blackjack chicken burger one with fries and one with onion rings food came fast and at a perfect temperature the onion rings were cooked perfectly as were the fries the burgers were excellent one of the best chicken burgers I have ever had 5 stars is hard to get but I cant think of one thing that wasnt great we will definitely be back
