If you have the option to go somewhere else I would! I was so disturbed by the care I received. I was so so ill with the flu and I was afraid to take anything I needed advice, no one even returned my call! I felt gaslighted and judged when I was looking for information and guidance. After my birth I was left in SEVERE pain, they truly do not care about you. It’s sad that a few employees can ruin a facility and contribute to stress in a new parent! After speaking with multiple REAL doctors and health care providers, I realized they are very under educated and completely lack compassion!

Unfortunately I started having undiagnosed gall bladder attacks around 18 weeks pregnant. I went to my care provider (Maternity Care WestKelowna) during an attack and they gave me a suicide help phone number as they said I was having a panic attack. I have never suffered from any type of mental Illness in my life but the undiagnosed gall bladder attack was the worst pain I had ever experienced in my life. I pleaded and cried for them to believe me and I was sent away. I immediately switched to a doctor at Mill Creek and I was diagnosed with gall bladder attacks and 20 days post patrum had my gall bladder removed via surgery. These attacks hurt more than my labour and I felt so gaslighted by the entire staff at Maternity Care. They did not listen to me, care about me and they misdiagnosed me. An absolute joke of health care. How dare you make a pregnant woman suffer in pain. I would advise anyone to NEVER use them and seek medical care somewhere else.
