Wonton soup:
The very famous wonton soup was quite disappointing, quite expensive for very small portion, and taste just like any other wonton soup at other restaurants.

Claypot rice:
We called to order 20 mins before we go, again very disappointing, rice way too stiff, instead of partly crispy rice crust mix with regular cooked rice.it was just too stiff to chew that both of us can't even finish that one pot.and I was expecting more flavor for the BBQ sausage and sparerib pot, but it was very light in flavor.

Vegetable:
Just blanched veggies with Oyster sauce, nothing really special but quite expensive

Deep fried dace fish balls:
Not a fan of the flavor or texture.and 17 bucks for 6 balls, too expensive for a "snack" option

Service:
Server was nice and attentive.

Atmosphere:
Very traditional Cantonese restaurant interior with plenty of crowded seats, and some booth seats available, quite dark inside.

Ordered one wonton tendon soup noodle (take out). Noodle was of very poor quality. Wonton was okay with spicy and with noticeable fish bone powder. Tendon tasted great. Staff service was much below standard - very impatient & incompetent. Blamed customer for error she made but finally realized it and expressed verbally she had too much to handle.
Disappointed with food quality & staff service. Won't recommend it.

The service is bad. Waitresses here are famous for having bad attitude and talk about customers behind their back.

Very affordable restaurant with great wonton noodle options and very quick service. The wonton bowl portions are a little smaller but this is not a problem at all considering the price point and the fact that many people come here as groups. I would recommend getting other dishes to share with others or a second bowl if you are hungrier.

This pork loin is so delicious that people and gods are all angry. It is the first time to eat sweet and sweet pork loin in Dawen, and it is very smooth, tender and refreshing! Wontons are mediocre.

Food is great, probably one of the the best wonton noodle in town. A bit pricy and small portions. Service can be a lot more polite and friendly (I guess they don’t care because business is so good)

This is the best canto noodle place in Vancouver. If you show up 1115, you are ok and be seated, 1120 you will need to wait for table. Congee noodles and wonton and fried Chinese doughnuts are all good, but don’t come w credit card, you need to bring cash here. This place is old world canto classic.

It's a hit and miss on food and service here. It depends who is working. Overall its ok compared to other noodles house.

Husband and I went there during our mini vacation to VAncouver. This restaurant truly reminds us of how old Hong Kong food should taste. From the start of their milk tea to blanched kidney and noodles, each dish was cooked well and delicious. We wish there were more restaurants like this around the area. My favorite was the kidney; blanched just perfectly and still "al-dente" soft with a clean crunch. Best part was that there was no kidney odor (hard to do). The favorite was their beef tendon dry noodles. We'll be back!

The service is bad that I never see! They Do not even give you a look. If you don't want get mad for all day please go find other noodle house.

Food was pretty good, but the serving sizes are small, so they end up being quite expensive.

There were only 2 wait staff for almost 20 tables so they were rushing a lot, but they weren’t rude.

It’s cash only btw. They gave me mostly coins as change for my payment so I ended up paying like a 40% tip… sneaky sneaky

Have been many times. Went for lunch today and as usual the food was solid. Great noodles and wontons. Service is fine. Asked for water and waitress said “mut yea ah? ” Which is basically like a teen saying to their parent “what do you want? !? ”

This place has been a hit or miss. Been coming to this place forever for nostalgia but it used to taste pretty good. This most recent time was disappointing though because it was actually terrible. The wontons you could tell was not fresh and smaller than usual. The beef brisket was also super tough. The vegetable was also on the smaller side as well. The congee was bland too. Not sure what happened but definitely won't be coming back until something changes.

I don’t write review very often but this place made me. This place was recommended by a friend. Sat down and waited over ten minutes, waitress couldn’t be bothered to come take the order. The fact the place wasn’t busy and they were more interested in cleaning up, it really bothered me.

No matter how good the food is, it's useless. The attitude is very, very, very bad! Click here to review the Prophet's original service (Mai Jiji) has always been banned, and there is no basic respect. Even if you bring food in, can you talk about it? The point is to point out people's likes and dislikes and be willing to talk about it, which is extremely disrespectful! At that time, I left without any food, and there is no restaurant for you in Vancouver. No quality, no matter how good the food is, it is useless. From the boss to the attitude of the employees, there are problems.

This is a rather authentic noodle shop. The soup base and fillings are good. The portion is small and the price is high. The waiters are in a hurry, which makes you feel oppressed when eating. Or take it home and enjoy it slowly.

The wonton noodles and congee here are amongst the top in Vancouver. Their other side dishes are also very tasty. Price is a bit on the expensive side but no unreasonable. However, the problem with this place is that they have very grumpy staff who talk down on customers, staff who act impatient to customers' questions, to the extent that they can be considered rude. May be they acted this way as a protest of being paid enough for the amount of work they have to put in but we did feel offended.

They have some very delicious wonton noodle soup and congee. The noodles are al dante. Wontons are fresh with tasty shrimp.

My must go every time I go to Vancouver. Still my favorite wonton noodle in N. America. The porridge is also very good. If only I live near by, I'd go get lunch every week.

Today's gourmet shop-Mai Kee Shrimp Wonton Noodles is the same as the small Wonton, and the service is even less flattering.not recommended

The absolute best for a quick bowl of noodles! Service is super fast and efficient. Our favourite noodle house!
