Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club

Despite all the good experience people have had with the weddings at Mayfair Lake. Unfortunately I wasn’t given the same opportunity. I sent an inquiry to Jennifer the wedding coordinator for a 2024 wedding. Understandably it was peak wedding season (August) I fully understood that responses are delayed as numerous weddings are taking place. She replied after 4 days and asked if we’d like to view the venue. I emailed back and asked for available dates. After 1 week I sent Jennifer a follow up email in case she missed it. Second week went by and still no response. I then tried calling during her available days morning/evening on weekdays not weekends. I left 2 voicemails and still, nothing. I also attempted calling the events manager in case she was away but couldn’t reach him either. After the third week I was finally able to get ahold of her, she apologized that she never received any of my emails/ voicemails. At this point i felt disappointed but still hopeful that it was “overlooked” but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. Despite not being as excited anymore, we still agreed to view the venue.

We viewed the venue, it was gorgeous and beautiful. My fiancé and I were considering booking the venue so we asked Jennifer to send us available dates before wrapping up the tour. She said she’ll email it by the end of day. However, it’s already been one month since our visit and to no surprise… still no email. Was this overlooked again? Was she too busy? I was looking for reasons for this delay when I shouldn’t have to. Of course, we explored other venues where they were efficient communicating and provided us answers to all our questions. However at Mayfair Lake we felt unprioritized and left with distrust, doubts, and irritation. It consumed our excitement more than anything. If a follow up email was sent to let us know of the delay it would’ve eased our mind. Based on our current experience, we now question the ability to reach/contact the coordinator if we secured the venue. Weddings aren’t cheap and the thought of working with an unpunctual coordinator would make planning the wedding more stressful than already is.

Nice course but not even worth the money! They’re taking advantage being one of the only courses in richmond. Go play elsewhere

Man, this course has really gone down hill over the last 5-6 years! Over $100 and the course is just looking rough. Bunkers are low in sand, attention to detail is sub par compared to where they used to be. Vancouver public courses are significantly better than this over priced and under maintained course. You can do better MAYFAIR LAKES! After reading the recent reviews of other golfers, this course needs NEW MANAGEMENT! Save your money or read the reviews.

Our annual Christmas luncheon was again beautifully displayed & served! Turkey dinner and all its trimmings, plus a Baron of Beef never fail to please the crowds. Plus Mayfair's venue is stunning. Being a golf course, one is surrounded by both the beauty and silence of Mother Nature - what better a backdrop? ! Enjoy your heavenly moment!

Great place, no wait dining option. If you like a more calm and quiet dining option, this is a great choice. Food quality is decent, can be better in term of controlling the cook time of the steak and lamb racks.

Nice place with the golf club view. The food is okay with good portion. Service is good. It is good value especially on a sunny day sitting at the patio enjoying the nice view.

Book this venue for your wedding! We recently held our big day at Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club and it was perfection. Jennifer Kang, our Wedding Coordinator at Mayfair Lakes has been nothing short of exceptional. She has answered every question of every email I've sent over the past year leading up to our wedding day. The Ceremony Island at Mayfair Lakes is absolutely stunning and private enough to say your I Do's, there has been a recent renovation which makes the property look even more beautiful. We held our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all at Mayfair Lakes. The team at Mayfair was well organized, had all our final details well prepared which resulted in a stress-free day for both myself and my now husband. The Gazebo area for photos is so beautiful and the entire venue just comes to life in the Summer with all the greenery and flowers. We held our reception at the Lakeside Grill and it was lovely. The staff at the Lakeside Grill were so friendly and our Wedding Buffet was delicious, the chef did an amazing job, all of our guests were raving about the food! Jennifer, we cannot thank you enough for the most beautiful and seamless wedding day a couple can have! Thank you Mayfair Lakes Team for a day we will never forget.

Fun little track. Pace was really good. Put your driver away on some holes because it will get you into trouble. Conditions were good for the price. Staff are friendly. Would play it again. Bring extra balls!

My custom made putter got stolen and swapped for a different putter when I played here when I left my cart unattended for 10 minutes. Conveniently, this golf course DOES NOT have working security cameras which I find odd for a fancy high end golf course. The staff and general manager were not very helpful in replacing or locating the stolen putter. Highly do NOT recommend this course. If playing here you guys should monitor your bags at all times and if something were to go wrong do not expect very meaningful help or sympathy from the staff here.

Had our group event at Mayfair Lakes. Course in great shape with fast greens.

They run a decent operation here. Saw a Wedding party on the lawn, and even though this was a large group, we had no issues with service for our dinner on the patio after our round.

Food was fine and Happy Hour is seven days a week. Bonus for our Saturday event.

This is a good place to golf and have a beer afterwards.

Very rude staff, played in their shotgun at 8: 00 am. Was asked what I was doing on the golf course at 7: 30 am, I said waiting at tee box for 8: 00 am shot gun warming up, they said I am away too early and no chipping until 8am

We picked this place as our wedding venue, and it was the best decision we've made. Both the ceremony site and the banquet room were so gorgeous that we didn't need to spend a penny on a florist. The coordinator, Jenn, was professional and accommodating. She could easily spot any discrepancies between the checklist and our itinerary. She also helped us develop a seating plan and answered a million questions with details and patience. She made sure we were comfortable on the day and helped our guests and us out whenever she could. I hope all new couples get to work with someone so cheerful, caring, and professional as Jenn. The food at the reception was beyond tasty, we kept hearing how delicious every dish was to this day, and the prime rib was the best of the best. Tammy at the food service went above and beyond in taking care of us. She helped hubby and I get the food, made sure we were hydrated, fed with warm food, and even offered me hot lemon tea. Our guests also spoke highly of the bartenders and the servers. The whole experience was unreal, and I can not recommend this place enough as a wedding venue.

On holiday from France, they refused me 5 time to play. They don’t accepted single French player. Not courteous and offensive

Had a very fun tournament. It's been a long time since playing here, but I'll be back. The course was in great condition.

Very nice course It's pretty challenging with lots of water. Also many of the greens are surrounded by sand traps. The fairways are well kept though.

Like a beautiful nature park with well trimmed green lawns, tall trees, koppies’ ups and downs, tiny wooden bridges, garden gates, zigzag paths, lakes and ponds in the background of snowy mountains in distance, Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club is deeply loved both by golfers who enjoy golfing in the tranquility of a pretty scenery and visitors who come for a breakfast or a brunch in the club’s restaurant hidden inside the beauty of a magnificent setting.

Green in excellent condition. Tee time fee is in the fair range. Great scenery. Too tier golf course in Metro Van.

Overprice charged for aeration green, the greens are really bad due to recent aeration and misleading confirmation.

When I was at the practice green, I saw the practice green was full of soil from aeration, I doubled check with proshop the condition of 18 greens, he confirmed that the greens are good ''as we do regular maintenance'' that confirmation was totally wrong. The course should have a discount price for aeration greens and not tell lie to the customer. $60+ for aeration green is not worth playing.

Great venue for bringing a larger group. Very accommodating during COVID and made appropriate adjustments to comply with rules

The food was great and they serve a great portion. There are plenty of parking. The restaurant was so beautifully decorated for Christmas and the fire place makes it more cozy. The staff were great and friendly, carly the server, and Vic, the manager.

It was good October day. Even with rain a couple days ago, the course was in pretty good condition.

I attended a very small wedding there, it was so beautiful and the decor was so stunning with the view but the food was not so great

WORST custom service EVER, guys in the pro shop has too much attitude, definitely not worth prime rate, will NOT play there again, rather play at Greenacres twice with this rate and better custom experience for sure.
