One of the bigger malls on Vancouver Island and definitely the biggest in Victoria. It has a good selection of stores, ample Starbucks, and an adequate food court.

Layout and lighting does not make a comfortable shopping experience. Feel like you are in grey maze!
Much prefer Bay Centre and Uptown!
Only upside is that Indigo Books is located there.

Not that big of a mall. Not very many large anchor stores. But it's a small city mall, so wasn't expecting much from my visit, and the experience didn't prove me wrong LOL

I love the layout of this Mall. A variety of places to shop and when you get tired.places to sit and eat.
10 December 2021 4:37
Their map is not accurate, very difficult to navigate this mall. It took me an hour to find the store I wanted, and they were sold out of what I needed. One big waste of time.
10 December 2021 4:23
I went to the mall today and went to use the elevator parkade and there was sludge coming out of the filtration system and it fell all over my shirt. I went to guest services to report the issue and I was told I could take off my shirt there and they would wash it. I think it is insulting and disrespectful to request someone to do that. Unfortunately the poor customer service impacts the store because i ended up going home and I will have to buy a new shirt and I will make sure not to do it at the mall
09 December 2021 2:43
A great looking mall with a good variety of stores. However, if you do decide to go shopping be prepared to at least spend $100+
30 October 2021 22:29
This is my favourite mall in town! There's a great variety of stores and I really appreciate the motorcycle parking at the entrance near Toys R Us.
16 October 2021 0:40
Over all the mall is very clean. The food court has a wide selection but the seating are is very large and can be quite crowded at times
27 August 2021 22:21
A little bit of everything at Mayfair. Great jewelry, shoes, clothes, bathing suits, lingerie, makeup, books. Best mall in town for one stop shopping.
19 August 2021 18:27
Me and my mother came here for a little while to pick up some clothes and we stopped at the food court for food. The only downside to Mayfair is that it closes at 6: 00 which is a really unfortunate time for me and my mother
17 August 2021 14:01
Wonderful food court workers who work diligently to keep area cleaned and seating the next food court customers
04 August 2021 12:31
They added on extra space but I think it was just structural cause it looks the same as before which is some stores for some people but not all stores are for all people. Theres are CD record store so that's a plus. But it was a 25 people limit or something, but I counted more than that so i passed on going in.
10 July 2021 23:31
Following COVID protocols well, offering services as usual within those protocols. Still plenty of places to shop at, still plenty of options for food.
26 June 2021 14:20
Great mall! Even through the pandemic it has been a safe and fun place to due some shopping and grabbing lunch at the food court.
25 June 2021 15:21
So basically this is like the biggest mall in Victoria I love going to Lush aritzia and sirens for my experience there is always an awesome the food court at whatever is kind of lame right now because of covid sore there's a lot of like empty tables that could be filled up and it's frustrating when they're all filled up and you have to wait especially when you have a screaming toddler on the side of you rolling on the ground while you're trying to order some lunch overall I love the small compared to the one in downtown because one is closer to way better shopping stores that are for my kind of type of people
18 June 2021 9:31
Decent neighborhood mall. Has the essential shops like Sephora, Indigo, Body Shop etc. No luxury shops here.
07 February 2021 6:06
Pretty standard shopping mall. Have many art related events that pop up in the mall every few months which give it a little spice. It has a pretty small variety of stores and a mediocre food court. However they do have a space for pop up shops which I greatly appreciate, allowing you to visit smaller businesses.
24 January 2021 22:29
It's the real deal: a large shopping complex with plenty of parking, wide corridors with shiny brand new cars on display - probably prizes, small gadget and cell-phone shops in the alleys, box stores of many kinds, and all the products needed to practice consumerism.
22 December 2020 20:13
A very active shopping mall with many chain stores. The food court offers a wide variety of cuisines; some from independent vendors, others from widely know food chains.
The Hudson Bay anchors the mall. Indigo bookstore is another favourite along with Sportchek and ToysRUs.

I really like Mayfair mall, it's the best mall in Victoria tbh, I like going to aritzia, garage, saje, Sephora when I'm there, they also have really good stores in there other then the ones I listed!:)
24 July 2019 0:16
One of my favourite malls, especially with the upgrades. I don't go to malls often, but this is one I usually go to as it's open late on more days than others. And there's a Sephora. Curry Point is great for mall food, holy cow. If you want curry, try them out!:)
14 July 2019 6:30
The mall is okay. The big renovation basically gave them more parking and 2 new stores that aren't good. Who came up with that bad idea?
14 July 2019 4:34
One of the best shopping experience.you can experience a lot there.a lot of varites.a lot of culture.love it.
13 July 2019 6:46
Filthy washrooms, people smoking at entrances and in no smoking areas, lack of security, place is hard to get around and has almost nowhere to rest when shopping, along with people loitering inside mall and outside!
02 July 2019 2:05
To go shopping that's it thanks and it's convenient as well sorry and the food court as well ok thanks
30 June 2019 5:32
Used to come to this mall in the early 70's when there was the old Woodward's store several changes over the years obviously, great selection of stores pretty much anything you need is under one roof there is lots of free parking, staff at all the stores super friendly and helpful, easy access with transit and very good location
28 June 2019 4:42
No restaurant choices.just food court. Weird to see such a big updated mall with no real lunch/dinner options
22 June 2019 21:47
Basic had everything you'd expect. Nicely open and clean. Geared towards younger to middle aged women.
22 June 2019 5:09
I have always enjoyed shopping at Mayfair. I'm pleased to see more stores being added.
The new upgrades in the Mall are very pleasant and the grouping together of all the restaurants makes for a very friendly atmosphere.
13 June 2019 7:39
The mall is nice, good food court, I really enjoy this place. The only thing that sucks is the parking. The spaces make for a tight squeeze if you drive a full size SUV or pickup truck. Even the mothers with small children spaces by toys r us offer no extra room for the carelessly thrown open doors.
Otherwise it is a great mall and a nice place to do your shopping. There is something for everyone there. Wish they would bring back the ride on animals though.

I live fairly close by, and I like the selection of stores in Mayfair, and I think the addition of Sport Chek and Indigo Books are good ones. But as someone who visits as a pedestrian I find the layout to be really obnoxious, at least coming from Douglas or Tolmie. The former entrance is gone, and the new layout all but forces you to go through Sport Chek, whether you intend to shop there or not. I feel a bit weird having to navigate though the centrally-located fitting room area in Sport Chek in order to find my way in and out of the mall. But you say, there must be a regular mall entrance for pedestrians? There is, but the outside layout doesn't make it that obvious. When you first go to look for it, I guarantee you'll go up two or three approaches only to find they aren't actually entrances. And when you do find the Douglas Street entrance, it is angled away from the street, tucked away, almost as if they were embarrassed to have to put it in. Go through that entrance, and there's just a lot of blank walls. You feel like you came through someone's utility closet, not a primary entrance. There's still a proper entrance out the back towards Blanshard Street, where a large part of the parking lot is though. Pedestrians/ transit users are obviously not the mall's favourite demographic.

Mall washrooms were a disaster again. I always make it a habit now to go to the other side of the mall now to use the newer washrooms since they are taken care of more.

Other note. The malls Reno's are greatly done but needs more stores in it.
28 May 2019 21:06
Has pretty much everything you could want and more great mall some nice food in the food court as well
26 May 2019 23:17
First time visiting this mall I enjoyed how crisp and clean the mall is, washrooms well-kept the layout of the mall was very modern and unique and in one of the pictures you see this fancy clock that greeted you on one of the entrances.
Great selection of mall stores very busy, but spacious at the same time.good variety of foods to eat in the food court. It clearly is the go to the mall in the area very popular with people.
25 May 2019 10:37
Not kids friendly mall, complementary free rent of the kids stroller are great but not so clean to use have to clean it first before I placed my child in.
16 May 2019 18:51
Still unfinished. But there's more stores and new ones too. Hopefully it will in full function soon. After all I shop there often.
06 May 2019 18:11
Good assortment of clothing for all types and styles. They improved there seating throughout the mall - lots of nooks to sit and wait or hangout. Everything has been refreshed. Also some cool stores like aromatherapy and poofy furniture
02 May 2019 5:49
You should of done a better job with the connect area. It's so sad looking now. At Christmas it was great people loved it and now very disappointing. You come in expecting the best for this mall not so much.
07 April 2019 0:51
The Mayfair Mall is one that I/or you can go to that is not so confusing. Instead it's easy to get to, it has a handy food court and it's not just so busy like Walmart is in Uptown. Lots of variety, especially Purdy's chocolate. Yum. Grate stores like Toys R Us, and the Flight Center is right where the Food Court is. Enjoy!
11 March 2019 8:56
Only two EV charging stations where at least eight are needed. It is all but impossible to find one available for use. Save yourself the hassle and head to Hillside Centre instead where they actually care about EV drivers.
13 February 2019 3:00
Your ordinary mall with a nice selection of stores. They spent a ton of money on what is essentially a facelift on the Douglas St.side of the mall. They expanded some stores but didnt really introduced what wasn't already in the area.
26 January 2019 21:40
Do not judge a book by it's cover applies here. The renovations that they have done are nothing but amazing! Cannot wait to see the completed reno.

***CLAUSTROPHOBIA ALERT! ***

Boyfriend and I had nothing to do so decided to check out the new location of Chapters and buy some reading materials. Sure, it's Boxing Day, but we were willing to battle the crowds for the sake of books. Unfortunately we never got to see any of the stores due to the atrociously designed parking! First try was the underground parking which gave us a taste of what was to come. We marveled at how low the ceilings were and at how we couldn't turn down any of the parking lines because they were all one way in the same direction except for the last one. Gave up and headed for the exit. Made it to daylight only to find a gong show just outside where the exit from the underground had a stop sign but the other 3 ways; coming from the outdoor parking lot, the second floor parking level, and traffic from Finlayson all competed in a free-for-all in the middle of the intersection of all these directions. Cars from the underground had a stop sign but their drivers added to the general confusion by ignoring it completely and driving straight into the milieu and then stopping in the crossway such that no one could move at all. Mayfair had attempted to ameliorate this issue by deploying a flagger in full visi gear but to no avail as everybody ignored him too!

Now for the claustrophobic part. I did not think that I was claustrophobic. I turned up the ramp to the second level in an attempt to escape the mess at the intersection only to find myself stuck behind a wall of traffic. Worse, a wall of traffic stuck under the lowest parking garage ceiling I have ever seen! My boyfriend, from a seated position in the passenger seat of my car, not a truck, a car, COULD REACH UP THROUGH THE OPEN WINDOW AND TOUCH THE CEILING IN PLACES!

Full disclosure: my boyfriend has more than 20 years experience building parking garages and other large-scale commercial buildings. If he says the ceiling is too low, it's too low! The finished height before pipes are installed is supposed to be 6'9" at minimum. With pipes it can be 6'4". My boyfriend could touch the concrete ceiling above the pipes while still seated. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize there's a problem here.

I didn't really need him to tell me how high the ceiling was supposed to be. I've driven in enough of them to know what's right. I have not had a panic attack in years but I could feel one coming on while stuck in this disturbingly confined space full of frustrated drivers and cars that couldn't get anywhere. Partly because the driving lanes were so narrow that anyone pulling into or out of a spot had to use both lanes to make the turn.

Who thought it was ok to sign off on this? The second level was too low to have possibly passed inspection. The design for traffic flow was nonexistent and seemed to have been designed to prevent flow rather than encourage it. There were no pedestrian areas so that foot traffic intermingled with vehicles. I don't know what they'd do if there was a medical emergency in there. There is no chance that an ambulance could fit. And we didn't see any water hookups for the fire department, not that a fire vehicle could have fit either. Are the first responders going to head in there on foot? Good luck with that.

PLUS! Oh yes, there's a plus. NO EXITS WERE POSTED. WHERE IS THE SIGNAGE? WHAT IF THERE'D BEEN A FIRE OR AN EARTHQUAKE?

I will not be going back. I would have liked to see that book store but my life is not worth it. Nor will I add my life to the list of those that would need saving just because I would not want to put first responders into such a needlessly dangerous situation.

WHERE WERE THE ENGINEERS AND SAFETY INSPECTORS AT ANY STAGE OF THIS MONSTROSITY? !

I went to the Bay in Victoria on the boxing day. I was on the line to go into the fitting room at the men's suit area and saw the grumpy and rude old clerk. I understood that he was busy to organize the customers on the line. However, he touched the costomers stuffs to count them and let the customers go into the fitting room with very rude attitude. I was so upset to see that kind retailer right after Christmas day.
