My recent visit to McDonald's on 6675 Mary Ellen Dr in Nanaimo, BC was nothing short of outstanding! From the moment I stepped in, the staff's warm and friendly service made me feel right at home. The restaurant's cleanliness and inviting atmosphere were remarkable. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious options that satisfied my taste buds. The food arrived quickly and was fresh and flavorful. McDonald's attention to quality and customer satisfaction truly impressed me. It's safe to say that this branch deserves a resounding five-star rating! Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience!

Drive through layout is pretty tight.parking lot suffers from the overused of curb barriers which seems to be a thing around here.order was prepared correctly but was put together a bit sloppy

My first time at this location, restaurant was clean and food was made quickly, hot and fresh. It was a few minutes before anyone even noticed I was waiting at the counter to be served, though.

There's a shaded patio dining area which is clean and looks nice, I enjoyed having my breakfast there. Patio has several tables, some planters, a trash can, and a fireplace.

My coworker went to this McDonald’s to grab coffees for staff. Mine was made incorrectly so I returned and asked if they would remake it. The cashier started rudely questioning me about what time the original order was placed and tried looking it up on a computer then claimed it never existed. Basically calling me a liar when I literally had the original tea in my hand and was in my uniform. I’ve never been questioned over an inaccurate order before. Just remake the tea and move on instead of wasting time interrogating me.

I was at McDonalds the other day and a customer politely addressed an employee that the napkin holder was so dirty that the mechanism to push the napkins up was stuck down. After said customers left the employee filled the napkin dispenser without cleaning it.
I also noticed the soda machines were disgusting and needing a good clean aswell. As summer approaches I'm sure the ants will too, so stay aware.

Order accuracy is the worst ive seen. THEY CAN'T EVEN GET A BLACK COFFEE RIGHT. Check your orders before leaving. They're 1 for 3 this week for order accuracy.

All I want is a black coffee and a muffin!

Worst! McDonald’s! Ever! No one ever stirs the drinks, the order is always wrong, and fries are always cold! Get your s*** together people!

Whoevers at the drive though window taking cash and orders (11: 46am) is doing a phenomenal job of multitasking. Young person definitely needs a raise. Super polite and responsive too. Five stars solely based on his performance.

Person taking order had great difficulty communicating resulting in a lengthy delay and ultimately receiving a wrong order.

I'm sure there're nice folks working in there but the food, for me, there's just something about the flavor that makes it unedible.
Lots of people love this stuff, but I can't do it. The coffee is excellent! But the food doesn't resemble food that I've come across in the natural world.
Haven't had the stuff in almost a decade. (I don't trust any of the meat products, but I admit I'd eat one of their bagels if I were in a pinch.) : P

Did a drive thru. I got a lettuce wrapped burger. It was a real sorry site. The lettuce they used to wrap the burger were just the very tiny leaves, which made it extremely difficult and messy to handle.

Slow, wrong orders, forgotten orders. Really needs to retrain management so staff can be more efficient. Not worth going to unless they get reorganized and functional. Have had back to back bad experiences not just one occasion.

Employees calling out names instead of order numbers. Went up to grab order multiple times it was the wrong order. Saw at least three other people return with incorrect orders. Accidentally gave our order to someone else before losing our order completely. Finally cancelled and left.

Grabbed a box of bursts and fries. The nuggets were cold and chewy like leather. The fries were cold and link. This location is not following proper hold times with their food.

Service was fast good. But the new drive through is messed up sometimes they don't hear that one

Says open until 11: 30 but staff close early. Multiple times been there at 11: 15 to find staff inside but closed early. Update your hours if you're not open.

#edit. March 17th, 2021 I see their "Take Out" hours have been added stating open until 11pm. 10: 57pm the lights are out tonight

Christine, the manager. I worked for her many years back at the Nicol street location. Was awesome to see her in the North Nanaimo this morning. Such a great woman that can be so hilarious at times. If you want to apply there or stop in, I suggest it.

Absolutley hands down best tasting breakfast sandwiches and their min donuts are great. Hashbrowns also have the best flavour.

Went inside, unfortunately the front till wasn't monitored and had to wait some time for service. Bathrooms are cleaner than average. Friendly staff.

The fries were hot and crispy, the quarter pounder was so good. We went around there at about 2 pm. Excellent drive through service.

Best drive thru cóffee in town. I'm so happy to know where the old (Great) bean from Timmies went to.

It was really good. I dont eat McDonald's much, but I really enjoyed it from this location. Great job!

Its is absolutely absurd that everytime I go thru this drive through I am asked to go park and they will bring my food to me. It is not jus this macdanolds.

Horrible service. Went at 10pm after work. Noticed fries were cold as I was pulling out of drive thru but carried on thinking I would just heat them up in the oven. When I got home, the rest of the order was wrong (despite it being in the proper box it was the wrong burger for BOTH orders)

When we returned to get the order replaced, we waited in drive thru line for over 15 min as the doors were locked for walk in. When we got to the window the "Manager" was incredibly rude and argumentative, claiming that it had been an hour since we were there. I know for a fact it had not. When I asked to speak to the manager she claimed she was the manager and walked away.

They did eventually replace the order but not without attitude.

Come one people.what ever happened to customer service. Rude!

Great place for a quick visit. Food came fast and was hot and fresh. You can use coupons to save some money! It can be busy in the drive theu during lunch time but staff can handle it. I recommend this location.

What's the point of having a drive thru if you park every car that comes through? Quarter pounder and fries, 11 minutes sitting in the parking lot waiting.
Been here three times in 5 weeks, same story every time.

Haven't had McDonald's in ten years. Just ordered fries. They were good, exactly the same as I remembered them.

Great place for viscous icecream and forgotten orders. Dont use the bathtrooms. They are reserved for the drug deals.

It's McDonald's! Consistently Great Staff and So-So food. Always popular with children (especially the locations with play areas) This location does not have a play area. They do have a level parking lot with handicapped accessible spaces, and entrance. The drive- thru is open until 1am and the location is very handy for a quick stop from the Island Highway, in and out!

Slow drive through over 6 minutes with 3 cars infront left didn’t care to give discount in $1 order and Said “its its tonight there is two of us” when did customer service become my problem? Apparently now ugh

This review is for the Woodgrove McDonalds near Michael's. The food was the same as every other McDonalds. The reason for the mediocre review is because many of the tables were dirty. It was McHappy day, so I would think they would pay extra attention to cleanliness, but I saw many customers walking around looking for the least dirty table. My son says this McDonalds is consistently the dirtiest in Nanaimo.

Absolutely terrible waiting 2hours and 7 minutes for my one snackwrap only to be called Susan by a lady that's probably named karen. "My name is Spencer"
