Terrible customer service. Yesterday, Aug 15 2023, I went to the drive thru to order a large iced water for my grandmother who was experiencing heat exhaustion and they refused to give out water on a day that it got up to 37! They said they would not give us a cup of iced water unless we made a purchase of an item. Water is a basic human right, especially in the middle of a heat wave. They finally gave her a SMALL cup of water and refused to give any more than that. We have always been customers at this location to purchase food. The customer service has always been terrible but after yesterday we will no longer visit this location. Staff there clearly need to be trained better. Jeez having some compassion at least towards an elderly person.

If you want your order incorrect then this is your place! Ordered sugar free vanilla latte and they came half full. Fries were cold and soggy burger looked like it was sat on to warm it up.

These workers do t know what fast food means don't even bother with the drive thru go somewhere else

It is open 24 hours, service isn't bad, they are pretty busy around lunch and dinner, so prepare to wait a little

Very quick and efficient, didn't have to wait on the sidelines for our food this time. Always happy about that

We did an online order it, we didn't have to wait long. I would have given a 5 star if the fries wasn't stale.

Terrible experience. I ask them to give me fresh food and i am ready to wait for my fresh food but manager refused to give me fresh food. I got old fries and old chicken in my burger. Terrible staff and service.

Slowww service in drive through, , was asked to park to wait for food, after 15 min had to go in and ask where my food was. My order wasn't started, they had to bag my food, found jt strange for McDonald's, they are usually on the ball

Worst McDonald’s experience i ever had, the staff and manager was so rude, i asked for fresh fries but they refused to give it, as i have been to other locations as well, they always fulfil my request for fresh food but i think this location is ‘special’. The manager didn’t even bother to make it up for me rather gave me so much attitude for no reason. I do not recommend anybody to go there as they are so disrespectful.

Staff were friendly. Location is clean. Signage related to seating time, beverages was unreasonable or just wrong related to health and safety.

I haven't been inside though because I always use their drive-thru which is fast and organized.
I have this special request for my son's burgers but 9 out of 10, I don't have to wait.

Haven't been to McDonald's for a long time and this visit reminded me why. Dried up bit of chicken in a bun. Tiny splash of sauce and more lettuce in the box than on the burger. Fries were good though, at least they can still do one thing well

Thier managers should be trained better to do their job properly.

I went to this McDonalds location on Saturday and ordered a chicken snack wrap no add ons and a chicken burger add pickles. I was told “no” I cannot have pickles on my burger that if my burger doesn’t come with pickles I cannot add them, I asked if we could have a side or if we can pay for them, I was again told “no” I then took my order and proceeded to eat my chicken snack wrap, which shouldn’t have pickles, it was full of pickles. I look at the receipt and it says chicken snack wrap “add pickles” absolutely ridiculous experience, I thought it was a joke at first. I’ll drive out of my way to avoid this location.

Egg not cooked, cheese not melted and burnt toast. I guess all the melted cheese made it onto my napkin.

Today was the most horrible thing I've witnessed. The girl serving yelled at a customer, forgot orders it was terrible. Even after the manager told her to stop she kept fighting.yikes

I am really not happy right now. The staff are not properly doing their jobs. For several times already, I want sweet and sour sauce inside my take-out, never remembered it. Now, you gave me the uncooked nuggets, they are still raw. I am gonna report this to the headquarters. I called you, nobody answered the phone, if nobody gonna do something, I am gonna call food safe.

I went this morning and ordered 1 coffee, that is all. I was rudely serviced by an older woman at the second window who demanded I park in stall 1 and wait for my beverage. This seemed odd considering how simple my order was, but I parked as asked. Not one person went through the drive thru behind me while I waited. I was parked for maybe 2 mins before another employee brought me my drink. I guess I didn't need to be parked afterall. Rude/poor customer service.

Curbside pick up was closed at 9? Not all locations have the grand big Mac. They gave me an empty cup and the drink fountain was turned off.

The worst staff ever, they spilled all the vanila ice cream in to my car and they woudn't give me a refund and I also once made an order of 5 strawbery slushies they said ok we have them but they gave me rasberry and they didnt even care that they messed up my order and said that they dont have them and still didnt give me a refund.
Never go to this Departure.

Complete garbage customer service. Drive thru at 12: 15, July 7th. Miserable drive thru lady and cooks need to find a new job. Such a joke!

I went there after 12 am, July 7 just to get a meal, since it is walking distance from my house. The lady attendant at the drive-thru refused to serve me because I wasn't in a car. Seriously, a customer is there and paying for his food, and you refuse because it's easier for you that way? Am I being too unreasonable?

This Mc Donald's is a very "ZNAZZZY" if I may say. Its decor is so fun, so stylish, and so comfy at the same time.
The Staff I have dealt with while dining there whether I'm alone, with my Husband, with my BFF's or with my kids have all been remarkable. The Staff is very attentive, very tactful when handling situations that occur with difficult customers. THEY ARE ALL THERE! IF WE HAVEN'T SEEN ONE OURSELVES MAYBE WE'VE BEEN ONE OURSELVES
. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. The only issues I have I guess have with this particular McDonald's is how they dealt with the curbside pickup during the covid-19 I witnessed a young girl who didn't have a credit card and because she didn't have a credit card she couldn't order any food she couldn't use her debit card even though it was a Visa credit card still they're not a credit card right in the end I ended up buying her lunch but point being is I felt that it was a bit not treating everyone the same and in the we are all the same we all want the same thing the best for everyone and to live our best lives and this girl was hungry that's why she was there and they couldn't make a sacrifice because of a policy the computers would have let it go through but because of their policy they would not let her personally I think it was because of the way she looked not because of policy so that is why I'm only giving this McDonald's three since the pandemic has come and gone or is going and a lot of the restrictions are lifting I've been into the McDonald's twice now and been great pleasant experiences. Before the pandemic one of my best girlfriends managed that restaurant when we were in high school she moved and then she moved on to many many more restaurants all across the lower mainland. Here's a little tidbit
. That is when my husband was in high school he worked there too!
So overall yay for McDonald's on Ottawa Street in Port Coquitlam however I would work on treating all people's the same we're all here on our own journeys and we are not to judge other people we are to love everyone the same regardless of what your policy says

I ordered online for curbside delivery, when I got my order, I found there is not enough ketchup, I called the girl, she turned her face to me but left! Unbelievable!

Stop by here whenever I’m in the area just got their coffee. I don’t normally drink cream in my coffee but as a treat I do. I get a wee coffee cup with cream in it to make it to perfection. Yummy

OMG! So ridiculous! Attempted a drive thru order for a cheeseburger happy meal, No drink. Wanted a separate added drink of pink lemonade. Told that I had to order a drink with happy meal. I said I didnt need the happy meal drink, just wanted to pay separately for the lemonade, and again told that I couldn't order a happy meal without the drink. Said never mind, and went to the competitor instead. Get it together McD's.

Asked for no bacon got extra bacon and the sauce they gave me (sweet chilli) had a hole in it that looked like a small sharp object went into it

Compared to other McD's - this location is dependably lightning fast, even during peak times, the fastest I've ever seen. One weird thing: don't order bagel sandwiches here, or any nontraditional menu item.

I've had it about a dozen times in two years where I get like a bagel with just an egg or just lettuce in it. Seems to happen more often to my wife, when she is ordering custom stuff. I don't know why, but specifically bagel sandwiches, and definitely non-legacy stuff, are a big gamble.

Overpriced poor service and the manager didn't seem to care that their prices are higher than any other McDonald's out there

Pretty quick and friendly McDonalds. Note: They often have their lot patrolled and will ticket if you park it McDs lot and head over to Costco

9/10 times they are likely to mess up on the order. Come prepared with your Karen suit and make sure you repeat your order and check your order before leaving. Always.

Just ate at this location on 16 February 2021.
Service was amazingly prompt on a complicated order, and all 3 of the staff i met were truly friendly.
Whole establishment including washrooms are kept ultra clean. This location is conveniently located by a Costco and SaveOnFoods and other stores.
Spacious free parking too.

Terrible experience will not return to this location. For major fastfood chain, this is shameful. My burgers were cold and soggy, had to throw away my entire order. When I confronted the shift manager, she told me all the food is "given in line" and refused to make me a fresh order. If anyone reads this, please reach out to correct this issue. This is a serious health concern.

The Fries at this locations drive thru are never, ever full Their Large (using the term large loosely) fries are usually equivalent to what a full small fries should be. I'm paying for a large fries so give me a large fries.is that so difficult?
Almost always have to park and wait for food at the drive thru. I never leave bad reviews but this place disappoints me every Saturday.

Food was good but we were disappointed first of all with the flat out ignorance of the staff who couldn't be bothered to take 5 seconds to answer a question let alone acknowledge our existence. I needed to change my sons diaper and we didnt have the facilities to do so and my dad and I cant use ladies restroom obviously. There was no apparent family room which we were totally thrown off by considering this is a family restaurant, no? So we had to change him the good old fashioned way in the passengers seat of our truck. And btw if you have a child under 3 the playroom is laughable. I guess the good old days of playrooms at fast food restaurants being entertaining is over.

15 minute waiting time. Slowest wait in any Mcdonalds I’ve been in the world.just for a quarter pounder and 30pct full that night.

Got ticket when eating, restaurant staff didn’t care. Paid 8 bucks for lunch and now i have to pay 60 dollars for ticket.

I purchased a coffee at this location and was rewarded with a 60.00 parking ticket. I spoke with the manager at the store and he said there’s nothing that I can do for you. I also called McDonald’s Canada and they washed their hand of this as well. Very expensive coffee and poor customer service. Not happy!

I got a hot chocolate it was mostly milk you can barely taste chocolate flavour it was like drinking a hot milk it was really gross

Usually can't go wrong at McDonald's but this evening is terrible. I waited over 10 minutes for a happy meal and 20 nuggets at drive through. When it finally came there was no explanation for the delay and most importantly, no apology.

Great mcdonalds location here. The staff are always so fast and friendly. Highly recommend this spot.

Quick for a lunch drive-thru, use the MickyD's app, in advance, ready when you arrive.just don't have a passenger asking no salt on their fries, you'll be waiting a while.lol

Sat in drive through for almost 8 minutes, no one ever served me, or even was at the window when I pulled up. Also not open 24h as claims it's only 2330 due to a software reset that has to occur every night for 30 minutes for some reason. Rough go on nights, if you dont want to be open, dont be open.

5 stars for the kiosks!
Never had to line up for them, and its much faster than paying and ordering at the cashier. There is also an indoor playground my kid enjoys as well. Overall, very convenient for families with impatient, hungry kids.

I was at this location yesterday and it was really clean and tidy! Plus I got my food at a fast speed and the order was correct! ️

Today, I decided to go to this location and buy a large drink, literally took me 15 minutes to simply get a cup, How long does it take to simply just pick a cup up and give it to a customer who’s already paid for the drink? I was served by a girl named Serena and she just stood around and talked to another employee named Terra I believe, They pointed at me and laughed, she served other customers while I waited until I got a cup, I went up to the counter once again and got her attention and she simply just looked at me until another employee gave me a cup. Nice to know that it decides to 15 minutes for a cup. Definitely not coming here again as this has happened to me multiple times.

Hours are listed as 24 hours for drive thru at the actual restaurant and 1 am online. Went there at 12am and they were completely closed.

This is the last time I go to this one they don't check there product this is twice I've gotten moldy food

I refuse to use the self serve kiosks at any business and have started to avoid going to any place that have these things. It was an unusual occurance to go to McDonalds because of this.

The fast food wasn't very fast, the burger looked like it was thrown together in a rush and the large fries was only 3/4 full.

Today is their hiring day, my son came in to apply he is 14 years old as we we're told the age requirement is 14 years to work at McDonald's. Both managers, Diana and Sharon refused to do an Interview because he was told he wont be able to handle the job. One manager was eating while the other was on her phone. My son's friend didn't even get a chance to fill out the application form he was told right away they cant hire him. I will be complaining to the head office on this manner.

A great place to bring your kids, has a great play center and the food is pretty good too, also perpared well.

Love the indoor playground. My child enjoyed a lot with the happy meal. Perfect to stay with your energetic child when it’s rainy or cold

Usually really slow service. They forgot straws, forgot happymeal toys, gave crispy instead of grilled chicken in our wraps, and gave diet instead of regular coke. All in one visit.

Went at 2: 30 after taking a taxi downtown when it was raining. Went inside because the doors were not locked and got kicked out because they were in the process of closing the floor. Drive through was open so we kindly asked if we could go through there because we specifically paid to get to a McDonald’s which cost more for us. They said no unless we had a car, us explaining that we had drank that night, and then saying they don’t care and we can still get in a car which is completely unsafe. Was my favourite McDonald’s till this incident, very disappointed especially cause the website doesn’t say anything about closing. Open 24 hours should mean open 24hours.

Arrived at 12: 20.12: 50, haven't even got to the window yet despite it only being 7cars. Only one window would be answered. Lol, what a joke.and screwed my order lol.

McDonald's restaurant all the same. The difference is your order the meals are " clean and safety" or not and dinning room table is clean or unclean. Depends on the owners. But customers have choice.

Fun place to go to specially for the kids. Play area is always a hit for them! Of course food is good as well.

The mac have a play ground for your kids while waiting for food or having food.

Goo place where Walmart and Cosco is just nearby

The best place to go when I want late snack, especially after midnight. If they can turn up the air conditioning during will be the best. I always come when my folks are shopping in Costco. Staff are polite and they clean up all the time.i think this MacDonald is the best one in TriCity area.
