They need better staff.

Messed up the order so bad and couldn't figure out how to scan the coupon from the app.

No napkins for a 4 person meal.

Wrong burgers on 2/4 orders, forgot the sauce for McNuggets and ketchup for fries.

Brutal drive through experience.

Obviously they need better trained staff.

Extremely slow service, even telling customers waiting at the front till to order on the kiosk instead of being helped. I used to work for McDonald’s duncan and would never not help a customer.

I waited over 15 minutes for my order they forgot, and on top of that my coffee went cold, and they gave me cold fries, I will not go there again, don't need Mc Donald's that bad.

Spent over $30 here and they refused to give me sauce unless I paid extra. Kind of a bruh moment tbh.

Went for my normal medium double double regular coffee
Special advertising for $1 plus tax and the order lady said it was $2.10? I asked isn't there a special of $1, and she said no.
Why do these little things bug me? Poor management.

Waited almost 30 mins in the drive through.for bacon.after ordering 30$ worth of food.wont ever go back to this McDonalds

Very poor customer service, and the slowest wait time consistently. Tim hortons is next door, and they take there drive through time seriously. No reason a coffee should take 7 minutes every morning.

At the drive through ehen we got the iced coffee frapps, we were surprised to see most missing. Only filled on the second line. When we inquired, were told the manager said only fill to second line. For the price, it seems odd that now you're only feeling to that line personally I would rather see a smaller cup all the way full. Then this cup which is barely full. I would understand if it was a $2 drink but it's almost $3 for a small.
Id rather go to starbucks and pay the $3 for a small frappy which is filled up.

On a positive note, the fries were hot, burgers hot and tasty.

In-between Victoria and Duncan, can't go wrong with a quick Don's Stop, it's just another McDonald's, does the trick in a pinch

I wasn't inside this McDonald's. It is close to where we are camping. We went through the drive thru and the food was hot, nicely packed and we had prompt service.

Originally gave this Macdonalds a 3 stars two years ago. It's actually worse now. I don't expect gourmet food or even good food but I do expect that what I order to be available if it's on the menu. Here is an example. Not once has there ice cream machine worked, no matter what time of the day it is. I always get "Sorry the machine is not currently working" or "It's down for maintenance". Down for maintenance during you dinner rush? I know I'll always be disappointed going to this Macdonalds but choice are slim in Mill Bay.

50/50 if they get your order right. They are trying very hard though and are short staffed so I want to continue supporting them.

Waited fifteen minutes to get through drive through to have my order be wrong to bring it back inside and wait 5 mins longer for the right one. Not the best location I’ve visited to say the least

Fries are always soggy and management is questionable. Some of the staff are outstanding, others could use a lot more training and mentoring.

Its McDonald's.inconsistent but fast mostly hot but not always.when the restaurants require a vax pass.we still have drive through

9 times out of 10 my order has been wrong. I'm using traveling through with my young grandsons who take forever to decide what they want and not happy when order is wrong. I never notice until we are back on the road, the order is wrong and no receipt is provided: (Very disappointing

I ordered the new "bigger" big Mac. Absolutely disappointed! Very dry, burgers were small and didn't fit bun. The only thing "bigger" about it was the bun. Will NOT order again!

Filthy and horrible service. Floor and tables covered in garbage, every trash can inside and outside overflowing. Lots of staff present but no one doing anything. Multiple staff in the food area on their cellphones while handling food. Staff in the customer seating area talking loudly about not having anything to do while there is a line up of unserved customers and the floor covered in trash.

The service was quite good. The food was pretty good also. It was not busy there, so we could get our food without problems.

Used to enjoy coming here but the service is just awful. The employee's are rude, they take shortcuts and everyone here does not wear the uniform correctly. The most concerning thing is that the girl's in the front end do not wear their hair up so, their is a possibility of having hair in your bag/food. The night staff blast their own music while working and can't multitask in the drive thru. Worst McDonald's that I've ever been to.

The food was fine. Not sure what it is at this location, but the manager needs help. It's pretty clear she's hating life, and it shows. There was one staff member telling a regular that it was his last day, and the place is terrible.

Rats in the garbage and the staff thought it was funny, then they were slow and gave my gf attitude.
Coffee's great though

The Mill Bay Mickey D's is 1 of my favorites here on Vancouver Island, their consistent high quality & freshness is great, & the drinks taste really great& special because there's no fluoride in the tap water there, so, no icky weird city water taste messing with the flavour of your choice of soda fountain drink!
A strange occurrence during this particular visit though, the line up for the drive through was huge, so I parked my truck out front, went in & ordered a double cheeseburger, (with no pickles), & what I received and didn't notice till back on the highway, that I'd actually received a rather messy big Mac with what appeared to be not only extra pickles, but extremely huge amounts of "secret sauce" as well, I was completely confused & horrified, I also got a large fries that were badly undercooked, so, not so great today. Hmmm.

Slowwwww.service. Long wait for drive through order. Stopped for an ice-cream cone. That's the only thing I'll eat from there. It was good.

Worst representation of McDonalds food I have ever had bottom buns on the burgers were hard as cardboard. How long does it take for that to happen? Missed ingredients on the Quarter Pounder and old fries, Big Mac with the special cardboard bun basically inedible. Very disappointing to not even approach the companies standard.

Slooooow service. Very understaffed at supper time. Huge lineup in the DT that never seemed to move. Quality of burgers is terrible. Cold chicken burger tasted like a piece of old leather. Avoid this McD's. Best down to Duncan and Victoria if you want quality McDonald's.

Ordered 2 quarter pounder BLT meals through drive thru and they got it wrong three times then had the gallon to tell me I may not have been clear enough when I had to waste my time to go into the store to get missed food not to mention when I told the manager he went dissapeared into the back!

Rather disappointed by the middle age man handing me my food, I’d asked for 2 junior chickens and only received one when asked he was rather rude and aggressive and stated I was incorrect. No receipt was given in my bag nor napkins, food was rather soaked in condiments and fry’s were stale. The lady at the till was good though.

Ordered a bacon big mac, large coke no ice and fries. Aswell as another a mcdouble a big mac no meat root beer and fries.
I received 1 medium water, one medium root beer, one medium coke, a big mac with no bacon or pickles, a big mac no meat and fries. Didnt give me the large drink i paid for, the bacon, my mcdouble or the pickles on my big mac.common now.

Without a doubt, the worst McDonald's I have ever eaten. Cold, dried up, old stale food everytime. They can't even remember to put all the sophisticated ingredients on a double cheeseburger.

They forgot my straws in the drive thru and then proceeded to goof off for another 5 minutes behind the counter before eventually throwing them at me, no apologies for the mix up.

Over charged on my order. Brought it to the attention of the cashier. She stated that she couldn't do anything. She called her manager over and they laughed that the promo sign was still up and that they should probably take it down. They looked rather embarrassed when they realized i was still at the window waiting for my food. Customer service has definitely taken a down swing lately at this location. I chose what I chose because it was on promo.

This one star is being generous.

Went for a late dinner to arrive to boxes blocking off the drive-thru and the manager sitting outside with two employees with thirty minutes left until closing time and then have him laugh at us because we couldn't go through drive-thru. On the website it says closing is 11pm and they were already basically closed when we arrived at 10: 30pm.

This McDonald's has gone down hill since this younger male manager has started working the evening and weekend shifts.

This is one of the many reasons I chose to drive to Duncan or Victoria for McDonalds than suffer through eating at this one.

Time to clean up your act McDonald's of Mill Bay.

This is the worst McDonald’s out there. Every single time we go they either get the order wrong or you have to pull ahead and wait for 15 min for a mc chicken. Why can’t they get it together? ! Very frustrating

The cashier said they did not have the promo rate for coffee in the system so they wanted to charge 1.95. The guy next to me said he waited 5 minutes for his medium coffee so the cashier asked if he wanted his money back.
The McDonalds promotion for fries is also not in the system so beware of prices and the coffee was terrible, tasted weak and burnt. Not sure how to achieve that flavour.
At least the building is clean and tidy.

By far the WORST McDonalds EVER. Every time I've been here they NEVER get my order right. Frys are almost always cold. Poor management. Some rude employees. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. One star is being generous

Good McDonald's location! Food is prepared quickly and I have never encountered any mistakes. There should be a bit more seating inside though I think. In terms of the drive-thru, it always moves quickly and I have never encountered any mistakes with it either.

Service was sloppy and slow, one bathroom had no toilet paper while the other had feces smeared on the door handle.

It's just McDonalds. We all know but the food is not quite ok. But it is great for if you have kids they play and eat and you rest lol.

Awesom junior chicken for under 2 bucks remaind my favorite lunch item. No "RUBBER FOOD" served here!

Garbage all over floor restaurant was quiet but no one was cleaning up. Out of ketchup containers so I told them they never did refill.

Absolutely filthy McDonalds location, the floor was covered in garbage and receipts, tables covered in food, garbage overflowing. Ketchup smeared all over the drink area, drive thru had garbage spread out everywhere too. Lady walking around with a cleaning cloth and spray bottle but wasn't doing anything.

Signs say open 24/7 yet every evening around 11pm they are closed and everymorning on way to work at 5am they are closed

Say they are open till 11 on a Friday night drive all the way there are in the line up for drive through at 9: 57 and they won’t serve us because they are shutting early an absolute joke should have the franchise taken away and descent management put in.

Typical McDonalds but a little on the grungy side. The employee sitting on the floor by the bathroom wasn't really attractive either.

This is one of the worst McDonald's locations I have ever visited. I drove up to the drive-through; there was a truck stuck there while someone was changing a sign—no apology, no explanation, nothing.

I pulled up to the store; there was no one manning the front counter and there are just a couple of kids in the kitchen—the manager who came in ordered one of them to the cash register (still no apology).

I placed my order; it takes an eternity to arrive. All this time, the manager is sitting at one of the tables, playing with some posters. The staff are slow and careless and I don't really have a lot of confidence in their work.

I went into rhe bathroom for 1 minute and the manager ate my food DONTGO TO THIS MACADONAL

I would leave 0 stars if I could. I don’t typically even leave reviews, but this by far the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to. The service is terrible always, there hasn’t been a time where they’ve gotten my order right the first time, and finding a giant sticker still on the lettuce in my sandwich really takes the cake. I wish they’d allow to post pictures.

It was super slow and the food was cold when I finally got it. Not sure what was up in the kitchen but whatever it was, the staff thought it was funny.
Not going back to that one.

It's a typical McDonald's. Always check your bag before you leave, there's a very good chance your order will be wrong.

Litterly messed my order three times in a row I just left because the lady running place is not very smart clearly.
