MeeT in Gastown

Staff were very nice and the atmosphere was great. Food was really delicious and I look forward to going again during my temporary stay.
We ordered the following:
- Nashville Hunny Glazed Mac N Cheez Donuts
- Meet Burger w/ Fries
- Spring Onion Soup
- Whipped Fetta Gnocchi
- Chick’un & Waffles

Most notably the Mac N Cheez Donuts was very different (in that I’ve never seen it before in a vegan restaurant) and really delicious. The Gnocci was done perfectly.

Everything was great: the food, the prices, the decoration.
It was my first time eating in a vegetarian restaurant and all the food I tried surprised me.
Appart from that I wanna highlight that we got a plate for free because they were a bit late serving it (nothing crazy).
The service was really attentive too.

Too salty, and in general not a good burger. The meat was low quality, and not fresh. The fries were very salty as well, and the salad sauce had a strong after taste. Many of us did not like our food. We would definitely not order again from this place.

I definitely recommend the restaurant to everyone!
This was the best veggie burger I've ever had and the best poutine in Canada! Really very special and super tasty.
The waiter who served us was also really friendly and accommodating. He had a very pleasant and open manner and his vegan tattoo inspired me.
I immediately recommended it to my friends & family!

Decent vegan options to satisfy both vegans and non-vegans alike. My Butter Chickin noods were flavourful and great portion size. My friend ended up getting the gnocchi and it was just too creamy and oily for her liking.

Delicious food and great atmosphere! Alyssa was so friendly and gave me some great recommendations as a solo traveller.

The food was really good, i think it's better to sit outside as inside sort of smells a bit weird. But the food is really good.

I loved my experience at Meet in gastown. Astrid was so amazing kind and sweet she was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was fresh and tasty!

WOW this place is great! From the homemade Orange Dream soda to the XO Green Beans and Gravy Fries, everything was DELICIOUS! And the service was prompt and friendly. I will definitely be back before leaving town!

I could not believe the "Kalamari"! It tasted like the real thing. The burger and poutine was excellent as well.

My visit to Meet in Gastown was mixed.

A friend and I went in after a long walking tour of the city. The restaurant has very lively decor, and has a little bit of a farmers market vibe to it. We immediately noticed something off. The service cold and slightly rude off the bat. It stayed that way for the remainder of the night, whereas we noticed other patrons being treated better. Maybe we instigated it unbeknownst to ourselves, but it never feels good to feel unwelcome.

Nonetheless the food was tasty, and reasonably priced. The portions were generous for the price we had paid for them. Additionally, for a vegan restaurant, they had a wide and varied menu, with lots of other dietary options being accommodated.

I will not be returning any time soon, solely based on the bad service experience, but you may totally enjoy this restaurant.

Not snooty, very relaxed. Food portions were crazy big, in a good way. My butter chicken poutine was really good but very salty. You'd never know it wasn't actual butter chicken.

Had a mis-hap with my order through skip and was left unsatisfied but it was totally made up for with above and beyond customer service. The Manager or Owner (not sure which) brought me a new order and it was absouluty amazing. 10/10 would recommend! Especially the oyster mushroom calamari cezar

Not a great experience this time! I usually visit this location at least once a month but my recent visit was very disappointing. We order two meet burgers and burgers was very dry and there were little onion strings. Even the portioning of sides (fries and salad) was very less. Customer service was good though! But not sure if I’ll be visiting again. Spent $45 but wasn’t worth it.

Vraiment excellent resto. Personnel attentionné. (. Ps: ne laissez pas votre parapluie dans le bac à l'entrée, le notre a disparu des clients malhonnête il y en a partout)

So many wonderful choices. Fully vegan restraunt. I had waffles with chickun which were deep fried mushrooms. They also had loads of healthy items.

One of the better places you can go to find a complete vegan menu.
While the food was delicious, I found it to be a bit too salty for my taste.
All in all, 9/10 would go again.

We waited to get a table and then left before we ordered anything.just too noisy! Not recommended for family or if you are travelling with parents/older folks, extremely noisy! Can’t hear what the other people opposite you are saying. If you are looking for a cozy place to chat or meet then this is definitely not recommended.

I love this place! We were visiting from Toronto and looked up vegan hot spots, the reviews are totally on point. The place is trendy, staff are welcoming and food is yuuuuummmmy! I wish Toronto had a location. Here's hoping:)

We visited this restaurant because of the good reviews and I have to tell, our experience wasn’t good enough. We ordered 3 plates and advised the waitress we did not want any spicy food. She recommended some of the plates we ordered and all of them were totally spicy. We went with our little girl and she couldn’t have lunch with us, everything was spicy! Very disappointed

Update: the management staff read the review, communicated with us and we gave them another chance. This time at other location not in Gastown, the service was amazing and the food was great. That is what customer service is all about. Thanks!

Food was amazing, drinks were also amazing, and the staff was super super nice, cool, friendly, and just overall over the top! Great team.

Terrible experience.this place has one million ppl working actually they doing nothing don't ask them anything they won't bring you they just pretend they working and even giving you more stress.would much rather empty stomach than stressful mind.other locations are actually nice.ughh who needs stress: (never coming back!

I've been to MeeT a couple times now with friends, and the lovely people here welcome us each time. I love the vibes of the employees, love the food, and it's such a positive experience each time. Lately, I've been mourning the loss of butter chicken since I went vegetarian, but MeeT's veggie version went above and beyond my expectations and filled my cravings. Thank you!

The food here is absolutely delicious. I had the Smoky BBQ burger and my girlfriend had the "Noodly Thai" and every bite was heaven. There were so many great options it was rough to choose.

Hands down the BEST vegan eats I’ve had. This was my first time visiting and I’m already thinking about the next lol,
I find it intriguing that they don’t market their menu/restaurant as vegan, it’s just written at the bottom of the menu. I like that. Even if you aren’t vegan, i think you’d enjoy this place just as much if not more than non vegan food.
Prices are fair and portions are great! Had leftovers and it was just as good the next day. Location is lovely, we sat on the patio, they have an overhead if it’s raining.staff are SO friendly, we got quoted a 40 minute wait and ended up waiting less than 10.

I'm a meat eater but went as my daughter's choice. Taco salad was delicious & her black bean burger had a crust on it to rival some of the best burgers I've had! Soooo good!

Fantastic food, fantastic location. I love that there are tons of gluten friendly options - it can be so hard to find a burger that's both vegan and gluten friendly. And oh my gosh, their burgers are goooooooood. I also love that they have fun and fancy mixed drinks that are alcohol free. I don't drink, but I love trying out new flavour combos and feeling fancy on a special meal out! I wish more places had caught on to what a huge market that is. This location is my fave, and especially now during the pandemic, there's great outdoor seating, but it still feels chill and quiet because it's tucked away.

Been visiting all the top resturaunt while were here and this was in my top 3, I'm a diehard carnivore and this was nearly my favourite restaurant in vancouver!

Amazing service:) Our waiter was super charismatic and engaging. Definitely made me feel very comfortable and welcome. The mushroom kalamari is a MUST TRY! I had a orange house made soda and it did not disappoint. I would maybe skip out on the Mac and cheese, it was okay but not memorable. Very good vegetarian restaurant option.

The restaurant is located in a cool spot. It has a wide range of gluten free meals and they are all good. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is both cozy and relaxed

Amazing! Had the noodle Thai bowl and loved it. The staff are all super friendly and I love the vibe! Highly recommend it!

The location is a great place and it is very nicely decorated, however some staff were rude and aggressive, like I’m paying you and I just got here, attitude isn’t necessary when I’m trying to eat or ask questions about food. Most times even for bad service I leave a tip, but absolutely nothing was deserved at this location.

The burger was delicious and the location excellent. Everything was going well until I paid the bill and tipped 18% (that was the minimum default) which was about $10, when the waitress printed the receipt, looked at it and walked away without a word. It was pretty obvious she wanted us to feel bad since she had been a darling up until that point, we left she didn't even respond to our goodbye.

I don't know what she was expecting but I noticed a Tip Guide on the bill and then a default tip on the machine, both starting at 18%. I shouldn't have to subsidize your worker's wages when the restaurant is already on the pricey end. Not coming back because I can't afford to tip 50%.

Food was quite good, definitely one of the best vegan brunches in Vancouver! I'd go back again but 3.5 stars for service because it was really, really slow. It probably took about an hour after we ordered before we actually got our food and then about almost 20mins to get the bill at the end.

Overcooked patties. Servers dont take note of your order and then looks surprised when you tell them they forget something. Fries were undercooked. Salad was the best part of the meal.

Comfort vegan food, lovely place and atmosphere.just don't confuse it with healthy except for the bowls and salads, however everything i tried there was tasty and I enjoy it every time.for sure try the cauliflower and burgers on your {cheat days) Staff ae friendly and fun too.reasonable prices

I stumbled upon this place. I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised! So much amazing healthy, vegan food. Don't get me wrong, they still had all the comfort food you could ever dream. Vegan of course! Super friendly staff and a great, fun atmosphere. I will definitely go back!

I popped in on a busy Saturday bunch and was treated well, the drinks were out of this world - I had the nacho poutine thing with was, fine not out of this world but more than good. Can't say enough good about the location though - what an absolutely beautiful space - would recommend as just a place to be.

Wonderful spot in Gastown to have an appy & drinks. This is our favorite place for cocktails (the Cloud 9 is quite good). Great service as well.

The cauliflower is really addictive, as advertised.

Im a meat eater, who loves meet. Amazing food, really good textures as well. And really tasty cocktails, big plus when on an outing witb a non alcoholic person/group. Of course if still get the ipa on tap.

Didn't mind so much but my partner had a disappointing bean burger that fell completely apart. My wheat patty was good but overall, very saucy and messy. The poutine was highly salted, as was the price.

This is my favourite brunch in Vancouver! The breakfast poutine is incredible! Will be back soon

Great veg food, ambiance, and service. Started with the rye sour, was delicious. Didn't catch her name, but we sat at the bar and the Aussie bartender was great, she recommended some fun places to check out. Had the teem poutine, Caesar salad, and the macro bowl (creamy and delicious). All well executed in flavor and appearance. Cheesecake for dessert was good, "crust" nuts and dried fruit was tough. We popped in for a causal birthday dinner and it was perfect. 10/10 recommend.

The menu is mind blowingly delicious! Very vegan friendly but non vegans still can eat and feel full after which is rare in most Vancouver vegan places. The architecture and decor is phenemenal too. A "must eat here" spot in the Gastown area for sure!

Very cramped location! Food and service are great here and while the food is a little expensive the only thing that turns me off from coming here too often is how many tables there are for such a tiny space. The amount of tables and customers vs the amount of cooks makes waiting time very unpredictable. It may take just 15 minutes or maybe something more like 35.

This is our most fav spot to eat! There is no 30 min wait like the one on main and the food comes out flying! We literally got our food 10 mins after ordering! I LOVE this place sooooo yummy too! I have not eaten a single dish that I have not liked. So flavourful and good I wish I lived closer

I've been here twice before and was less than impressed with the service and attentiveness. However, I went again last week and my experience was awesome! The service was wonderful, food was fast and DELICIOUS. They've definitely improved for the better!

I ate more food than I thought I could possibly eat. They were also very accommodating to our 5-year-old's particular tastes. I was in a group of 6 vegans and we all loved what we got.

Not only do they have a name that is a fun play on words, but the also have a pretty great menu. If everything that pretended to be meat tasted this good, I figure a lot more people would be vegetarian.

Fantastic burgers! Even the butter chicken poutine was pretty good. The 'kalamari' was great as well and the mac'n cheese was really good. I could go Vegan if I ate here everyday! Prices are a bit high but I would say it's worth it. They put in the effort!

What I like:
- Great selection of plant based burgers and other tasty foods
- Reasonably friendly staff
- Clean and fresh inside

What I don't like:
- Way too noisy. It's simply impossible to stay there longer than 15 min and enjoy the space. Music selection aggravates the problem
- Typical problem of American restaurants - big portions that aren't that healthy. I'd rather pay the same price for a smaller portion, a more careful selection of ingredients and a smarter cooking process

Great service. Although we showed up on a busy Friday night, the front door staff got us on a wait list that texted us when our table was ready, very convenient. Fantastic vegan and veggie options in a beautiful setting.

Oh man what a disaster- i brought my two friends who recently went vegan to this restaurant since i heard good things about it, i ordered the spicy BBQ burger with fries and salad.as i was eating the salad, i felt a hard piece of glass scrape the top of my mouth, i pulled it out i noticed it came from a broken white plate.my friends were horrified, we immediately left.

The best Vegan place I have ever been to. This place is already packed up with people, but you can put your name down on the list, and they text you when the seat is ready. I have tried their burgers and they are pretty impressive!

Great food, great service. Tons of gluten-free options and take cautious in preparing food for people with special dietary needs, and it is much appreciated.

A wide range of selections from lighter fresh meals to junky food. Love the sweet & sour cauliflowers, they ARE addictive. The gluten-free burgers are delicious.

Super tasty food and extremely friendly and accommodating staff.
I ordered a Caeser and was given a sample to taste it to make sure I liked it before I ordered it which was nice because it definitely was different!
My sister didn't quite like her bowl she got but didn't complain or anything and the waitress took it off of the bill without us asking, which was incredibly kind of her!
We were so surprised and thankful.
Such a great experience and such great food!

For people who are not vegan this place isn’t for you. My boyfriend and I like to cook vegan at home but aren’t completely vegan. We had a male server (wearing a grey sweater) he was sooooo rude and rolled his eyes every time we asked a question. We were very judged and it was super uncomfortable. Food was good but the experience ruined it all. Wish they were more friendly towards people trying new things.

Loved the atmosphere, sweet staff, but the real show stopper was the food. Blew us out of the water, and my girlfriend is an omnivore. We could not stop saying how amazing the food is and they really give you a lot for the price. I recommend going before five, for $4 pints and quick seating.

The burgers are amazing! Worth the extra few bucks you will love the quirky lighting fixtures, tasty relishes and good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. From the moment you walk in and sit underneath the huge glass ceiling Meet tries very hard to compete with the world's top burger bars.and succeeds. They are about 10 different and unique burgers on the menu catering for all preferences. I highly recommend the double double which comes with two varieties of crispy, tasty vegan bacon which honestly tastes better than the real thing. Go for the beyond meat upgrade option as it is a must. There's a very good reason why this place is super popular. A unique and enjoyable experience.

Meet in Gastown is a vegan restaurant situated in the heart of the historic area of Gastown, in a peaceful courtyard off Water Street.

The restaurant had lots of seating both inside and outside on a small patio courtyard and the interior was filled with lots of natural light. I ordered The Macro bowl which was so tasty, flavourful and filling.

The menu was the same as its sister restaurant, Meet on Main, and they serve vegan comfort food with lots of variety including salads, burgers, fries, bowls, appetizers and more and many of the dishes are also gluten-free. The service was also fantastic and I loved the relaxed and laid-back atmosphere.

Can’t wait to eat here again when I am back in Vancouver sometime!
