Got the lunch set. Soon as we sat down employee rushed us to order. Food took too long. Taste of the food is below mid really bland, even the soy sauce. Do not recommend.

This is my Table for 2 tonight.
So delicious
Sashimi is soooo fresh and you can taste the difference between the others and this one

The dry mixed Udon is another “must-eat” item.

A5 Wagyu Don is under special offer, $39, sooo good.

Didn’t expect this much from this restaurant. The service of the staff and the quality of the food are both out of my expectation. A relaxed night after a long, tough week. I really enjoyed the night with their Sake and beer as well.

Ordered a beef steak don, not worth the 30 bucks for a kid size meal. Left still feeling hungry. Also waited more than 30 minutes for the meal to be served.

Portions are definitely smaller than I expected for the pricing. Server was kind but not attentive enough. Had to wave down for water or tea refills. Food did come slower. The oyster with uni and ikura is nice.

Cooking staff and service staff were friendly. The food good but not the best I had in terms of quality.

Finally visited Mei Ten restaurant today. The staff was very friendly and gave us lots of recommendation on their menu. We ordered the yakitori chicken don, hamachi sushi bowl, pumpkin croquette, chicken cartilage, and assorted sashimi. The food tasted good but I agree with everyone about the portion of the rice. It was quite small for the price. I understand cost of food is going up but the restaurant could definitely put a little more rice into the bowl even not adding more of the toppings. I hope the owner is reading this and consider the suggestion. If it wasn't the friendly service I would rate 4 stars.

Other than that we enjoyed our food. I really like the pumpkin coroquette. It was crispy and not oily. Assorted sashimi at $29.99 was reasonable and fresh. I will definitely come back to try other items, but not the rice bowls that we had today unless they would add more rice lol

Please keep up the good work!

Today on my day off, my family and I went out to explore and for lunch, we arrived at the Aberdeen Centre in the Richmond. I was hoping to find a restaurant that was simple, comfortable, and served delicious food. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for the Aberdeen Centre as I didn't think there were many unique or tasty restaurants there. However, we stumbled upon a Japanese restaurant called "Mei-Ten" located at the southern end of the second floor.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were impressed by how spacious, clean, and well-lit it was. The seats were also generously spaced apart and we were greeted with a warm and authentic welcome in Japanese. Shortly after we were seated, a Japanese staff member brought us hot tea and the menu. However, after about ten minutes, we noticed that the sushi that was brought to us didn't match what we had ordered. As we were confirming the order with our server, the owner of the restaurant, a lady who I assume to be the proprietor, quickly came over to inquire about the issue. When she learned that we spoke Cantonese, she introduced herself as someone from Hong Kong who had taken over the restaurant a few months ago and was still in the soft-opening stage. She was extremely sincere in her apologies and immediately replaced our order while also offering us some Japanese snacks to enjoy.

As for the food, I would highly recommend their salmon sushi. The thinly sliced raw fish was bursting with flavor and much more delicious than the thicker-cut salmon sushi you would find at some other so-called Japanese restaurants in Vancouver. Additionally, their soy sauce was perfectly balanced with a sweet and savory taste, unlike the overly salty soy sauce that some other Japanese restaurants use. I ordered the chicken cutlet set meal and my granddaughter enjoyed the salmon sushi so much that she ended up eating half of my chicken cutlet as well. She said it was delicious! At around $19 CAD, you can enjoy an authentic Japanese set meal that includes a main dish, miso soup, rice, tofu, and pickles. Compared to other restaurants in Vancouver such as Hong Kong-style tea restaurants, this is an extremely good value for the price.

Ultimately, what sets this restaurant apart is not just the comfortable atmosphere and tasty food, but also the exceptional service. It truly was worth every penny!

New Japanese restaurant. Food was okay other then my scallop sashimi was fishy. Menu choices were limited due to soft opening. Interesting mini Chirashi bowl set.

The food is not good enough (炸物非常唔得), the price is reasonable, and the service is very well!

The menu for this restaurant was a mess, the servers gave us multiple laminated sheets of the menus, which took up a lot of the room on the table, which was small. Not to mention there was only limited picture for the menu, so you dont really have a clue on what you are getting. The only thing on the menu I think is worth your money are the sets, as anything other then that in my opinion is overpriced. Again with the lack of images and description, you wont know unless you’ve been here that there is a few side dishes with your meal. Our food also took very long to arrive, plus the tables are kinda small so everything was crowded. The food was pretty good, but again it took a decently long time to arrive. The feel of the restaurant is between casual and fancy, and it fails at both of them. The menu again has a very small theme of Japanese food, but other then that the dishes are all over the place. The servers were very nice and served well, but it doesn’t seem like they have anywhere to stand and just all awkwardly stand in the front sections of the store. Plus other then cooking it seems like the servers took care of everything else in the restaurant.

Meiten is the newest sushi restaurant to hit Richmond! They are currently doing Soft Opening and they are already super popular! They offer really fresh sashimi and they have really fatty blue fin to A5 Miyazaki Wagyu. Here's what I tried: ⁣⁣

Their price is really affordable, especially their appetizers which are only about $4-5 a plate. They donburis are fully loaded. And you must try both the Blue Fin Kama or the A5 Wagyu Don or Uni Ikura Don - These three dishes are definitely my highlight. Definitely check them out ASAP and get there early before it is packed. ⁣⁣

New sushi place open inside Aberdeen center, food is good, friendly servers, have to try to sake bomb, really fun

New place inside Aberdeen Centre on the second floor restaurant row (just above HMart). Went there for dinner.

Very polite servers (not sure if she was the owner). Kept asking us how the food was.

We ordered a sashimi premium that came with uni and that was very fresh and tasty. Also tried their uni tamago (it's like uni nigiri but with tamago on the bottom instead of rice). The uni was well done but I think the tamago needs to be bit a more fluffy

Pricing overall was very reasonable for the food you get. There are other rice bowls/udon sets and set dinners which are around $15-$25.

Will come back again in the future to try other dishes
