Menchies Frozen Yogurt

I went to this menchies and I check online when it was open it said it was open at 12: 00pm. I went and it was locked and someone was inside just looking at me when it was already 12: 41.

Very rude owner! Wouldn't recommend this place.

Update after the owners comment: when it comes to dealing with people, this man has 0 skills!
There is a way to say things and how to talk to people.
Try using PLEASE and THANK YOU next time. It will help. And try greeting people with a smile instead of commenting on how they look!

By entering, you'll see a grumpy man in his 50's with zero skill of handling customer. The most rude person I've ever met. I am pretty sure everyone complains of expired milk too.

The taste is good, but the consistency of the ice cream is not very hueno. It is very expensive for quality. There are other places of better quality and flavor at a lower price.
I would definitely not buy here again

The old man attending is quite rude. Perhaps is a language barrier but he lacks a lot of customer service. I believe he is the owner, so it’s too bad he doesn’t make a better effort to treat people better.

The tart yogurt had completely gone off and tasted like expired milk. The guy working there (I think the owner?) seemed unsurprised that we brought the frozen yogurt back and begrudgingly gave us our money back. The toppings looked old, were empty, or congealed. Only recommend if you’re interested in food poisoning.

I walked in and witnessed the worst customer service by an older man behind the counter (probably the owner). I observed on 3 different occasions when a customer would ask a question he would laugh in their face, it came across as very malicious, I have never ever witnessed such poor customer service. In addition the entire cold topping section was empty, which was very frustrating because he easily could have gone in the back to refill it. Also there were no little sample cups so we had to ask for them, he very dramatically and rudely pulled out just one, he refused to give my partner one, and the other customers also requested some and he reluctantly gave them one, I have never experienced this at any other menchies, in fact they normally offer you multiple sample cups. Overall I am shocked to have witnessed the rudest owner interaction with customers, we will never come back.

Zero Star. Uneatable product and extremely expensive. This place is a pure scam! I paid $25 for two cups of worse tasting nothing that we could not even eat and have to put both of them in a garbage can right outside of their store. They're basically selling a Slurpee by weight and charging an extremely high price, and because it's by weight, all of their cups are large, I mean supper large! They're not an ice-cream or frozen yogurt shop; what they're selling is nothing but Slurpee in a cup; and no matter what flavors your choose, they all taste the same like a frozen crushed ice, even worse. Avoid going to this place at any cost.

The employee working was extremely unpleasant to be around. He grabbed my cup out of my hands when I mentioned to my partner that the froyo was watery. Then, when I asked a question at checkout he visibly rolled his eyes and laughed at me. The froyo was fine but this employee definitely made the experience much less enjoyable.

Amazing place, very nice people love their energy, always kind and smiling.

We ordered thru uber eats 2 of the smallest slices of cheesecake I ever seen, showed up solidly frozen and they have the nerve to charge $30 after taxes, tip and fees.take your buisness elsewhere nothing to see here

the owners response neglected to detail why it “has to be kept in a freezer” and its one thing to store it in a freezer but another thing to serve out of the freezer.also please explain the portion size for $18 cheesecake that is the equivalent of a childs fist

The older gentleman working was pleasant to deal with. Greeted us kindly and was joking around with us as he was ringing my purchase up. Place was clean and lots of toppings to choose from, look forward to returning

Old man employee is rude and didn’t help serve us. He just watched super loud videos on his phone which ruined the experience

One star is too generous. This place is an atrocity.

The old man running the place was terrible. I had never been to a Menchie's before and had a bit of trouble with the machines (didn't know how hard I had to push up, thought I had pushed with reasonable force, and didn't want to break anything). When I asked him for help, he actively laughed at me and mocked me twice.

All of the optional toppings were gross looking. This makes sense, as there is probably a very low amount of patronage at this shop. Lots of other reviewers have mentioned how cheap the old man is, so that seems to check out with the lack of refilled toppings.

My friend tried to get the chocolate flavour but the machine was empty. The old man maybe could have done his job and kept the machines filled.it's not like there were any other customers there.

As for the quality of the yogurt, barely frozen, the strawberry option was awful, and I ended up throwing it out rather than finishing it.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in a long time.

We paid $26.6 for 2 cups of terrible fake machine ice cream and we couldn't eat half. And bad customer service. Don't go to this place, waste of money.

Kids would like this since there’s a lot of variety and choices in toppings, but the quality of the froyo is pretty cheap. Icy texture and syrup-y flavours.

Will not recommend anyone to go there as waste of $$$. Candies were expired and was non chewable.highly disappointed

Ordered frozen yogurt with "fresh" strawberries.they were covered in spots of grey mold. Could've gotten sick.disappointed

I won't say it tastes like yogurt, it was not. They do have many flavors and toppings. But only cheeses tubes and waffle slices was good for me. When I visited, the yogurt was not frozen but Melting and soft. And the old service guy didn't wear his mask properly, but under his chin.

Lots of flavours to choose from. They no longer offer the sample cups which made it difficult to choose the flavour. They did have hand sanitizer and gloves available which was a bonus Lots of toppings to choose from as well.

Do NOT go to Menchies at Highgate. Terrible service. The owner will rip you off and argue with you. Would not even honour my Menchie points or use Virgin mobile Menchies discount. STAY AWAY!

There would of not been a bad review if your Menchie location would of honoured menchie points and allow the virgin discount. I have never gone to a menchie's that would not allow me to accumulate points and use virgin discount. It should be the same across the board as you are a franchise. I am sorry but I will not be going back to your location. Good luck with business.
