Mercado By Originals

This place is the real deal. Great food get the chilaquiles! We had a lunch date here in the midst of moving my girlfriend. Good times discussing our lives. I think we’re at a really great stage in our relationship.

Good food, good service, Chipotle doesn't hold a candle to their food here at Mercados. I come here quite often because I work close by, but this is my go-to when I crave a good burrito. The worker Dani is very nice and welcoming as well. Very sweet family owned business.:) 10/10 would recommend.

I tried the carnitas tacos and the Aztec soup, completely recommendable, the taste of Mexico in Canada and the excellent service!

The restaurant was not busy at all, however the waiters seemed more concerned about serving the 1 other table. We constantly had to flag a waiter to put our order in, order a second bottle of wine. Would consider the food as good.

The rice was burn and no well cooked, the beans smelled like was turning bad and the customer services wasn’t good.

Really nice place. Doesn’t show up on maps unless I zoom all the way in. Only noticed it as I was walking by!

The Chilaquiles was beautiful and tasted pretty good. Horchata was 10/10, I’d come back just for that. Flan de Queso Casero was also delicious, although not sure if they make it in house? But I’d order it again.
Prices are comparable to any other restaurant these days… meaning it’s not cheap but good food is worth spending a bit more.

Love this place. Has been a go to for a while now. Food is always delicious. You can get homemade chips and guacamole and tortillas too. Staff so sweet.

The quality and the taste of the food is amazing. However, the servers there are always making mistakes for my order, either it’s a pick up, or delivery on third party apps. I have had wrong items from your restaurant for several times, and hadn’t received my drink if it was a delivery. Even when I ordered there for to go, I saw that I got my tacos wrong when I got home!
If you fix this problem, as a customer, I’d be much happier!

Prices are too high I paid 20 for a couple items that aren't normally that expensive, I hope they see this and do something about it

Was really looking forward to trying this place after enjoying a great dinner at Originals. Ordered eight tacos between us - tortillas were not sufficiently warmed, the ribeye upcharge of $2.50 for an already $4.50 tiny taco proved to be pointless as the steak did not taste anything like ribeye quality. Could have just ordered steak. Chicken cilantro was bland. Adobo was passable. Pork items were better tasting.

Service, however, was not at all what I expected given the high prices - the woman at the counter was busy preparing food and put far too little effort into service. We were left feeling like we were interrupting her work. I also got the impression that Mercado is the prep kitchen for Originals and that Mercado food sales are an afterthought.

I always recommend Originals to people, so I expected much, much more of Mercado than what I found.

The tacos I got from here were pretty good, and the meat was juicy. The value for money on tacos wasn't there though, in my opinion. I had 3 tacos (4.5$ each) and a tostada, and was much more impressed with the tostada (8$). They were also out of the rajas which is what I was most excited for: ' (
Horchata was tasty.

Good shop for some Mexican products, but a lot pricier than some other Mexican places for what you get. I really enjoyed Originals Cafe Mexicano (port moody) for a nice dinner out. Maybe I was off-put by super cheap taco Tuesday (2.50$) at Tequila Cocina, unsure.

I had the opportunity to enjoy a great dinner in my friend’s party. The tacos were delicious.

Such a cute and quaint little place. The drinks are incredible, food was delicious, and service was so great.

Where have you been all my life! I came across this place on my way to pickup some Sushi Moori yesterday, which btw was amazing! But anyways, parked my car and was walking by just when I smelled delicious Mexican food! I had to pop in and grab a menu, and I couldn’t wait till tonight to try it out! Let me just say the food is insane! I must have been the last order, the wonderful girl working there hooked it up! Ordered a steak and chicken taco and had couple of burritos too with some salsa and habanero sauce!

First and last time at this place. Stopped in to grab some salsa for a celebration day. Grabbed a jar of tomatillo salsa and there homemade pico de Gallo. Horribly overpriced and terrible. The green salsa was basically lime juice and no other flavour at all and the pico was so bland I don’t think I’ve literally tasted something so average. You can literally get better green salsa at Wal Mart for 3$

This is one of my favourite places ever! A little pricey otherwise I would go more! I can't keep track of how many people I've brought here for a quick taco fix.

The best chips and beans that we tried in all world! Ty! Fast and excellent service, good staff! Do you like Mexican food? Try it!

This one is a miss for me. It seems overpriced and a bit bland. The portions were also very small in my experience, with lots of "filler" ingredients. Not worth the price, or the wait in my opinion.

The portions here are so small for the price. The quesedilla was $13 for a very small appetizer portion. I was not at all full from that small serving. There was such a small amount of salsa too. The food had decent flavour but I’m not sure about the pricing.

One of the better Taco spots that I've been to in bc. Only thing that I find is that most places don't do tacos like they do in the states where they cook it on the grill right there and then I get it it saves time. But let me tell you this place was pretty good I ordered like eight or nine tacos and did not have a bad one at all, that is rare for Mexican food in Canada.
