Very varied shopping center, many good stores, free parking for 4 hours, for many it may seem like the best place to go shopping, but for the same reason it gets quite crowded, being a very recognized place makes it popular and full of people.

It's a good mall have all the shopping needs, food court is also good. Always crowded you will feel lively by seeing so many people enjoying their time in the mall.

I just hate malls. Nothing against Metrotown, crowds of listless people who don't know exactly where they're going and stop in the middle of nowhere to do nothing are about as fun as stubbing a toe really hard.
31 August 2023 19:17
Metrotown has many stores and restaurants inside, it has basically anything you need ranging from sneakers to stationaries.
24 July 2023 11:41
A shadow of its former self. It used to have so many interesting stores, but they've mostly been pushed out due to high rent and replaced with big name stores taking up multiple storefronts and in some cases multiple floors (I'm looking at you, H&M). It's like they're purposefully putting the rent so high that it's pushing the little guys out. Such a shame.
09 February 2022 6:25
Extremely busy lol and only one elevator was working so it was difficult getting to different floors with my baby stroller

I can buy a lot of different items at once and open late so it is convenient.
However their parking lots is very confusing. I took picture where I parked but it was still hard to find my car.
I tried to get help with few securities, since their office was in the underground.
I showed my picture to of parking lot number but their attitude were not very nice and just said they don’t know and told me go to customer service.
We needed to walk to customer service upstairs carrying heavy groceries.
13 January 2022 14:19
All kinds of shops and eateries to kill your time. Good management with plenty of parking. Would recommend to go there during weekdays if one wants to avoid crowds. Really the center of Burnaby.
08 January 2022 12:07
However it was overcrowded as far as I was concerned people didn't respect your physical distancing it's not social distancing it's physical and when you're in my 6ft bubble I feel like I should give you trouble problematic trouble double trouble but I'm just kidding have a great time at the mall y'all
07 January 2022 14:03
A very big and inclusive mall in metro Vancouver, which takes at least one day to explore. It’s spacious and kids friendly.
02 January 2022 8:57
Great mall with every popular store as well as 3 supermarkets. The only downside is that it's layout is quite confusing to navigate and not all the provided maps have legends. There could also be more elevators.
24 December 2021 23:07
Cool mall, not as big as expected but still very large. Lots of great stores tho, anything you'd need you can honestly get here
10 December 2021 19:07
Very cool mall. Was easy to navigate and has many interesting shops from different cultures. Great snack selection too with the cheesecake shops and other specialty places!
30 October 2021 2:42
This place is cool ig just don't run into emos or any of the boys and u good girl I only gave five stars because dayum the curry express there is so good

The Boss is my go-to whenever we need a break from shopping. We enjoy their all-day (Western/Eastern) breakfast menu and mid-afternoon specials, particularly the HK-style French toast and milk tea! You'll notice the portions are generous. My 2 y.o. Daughter already ate the bun with butter, so it wasn't pictured. The servers/hostesses always make sure your tea cup is refillef and areas are clean. If you need a good, clean place to eat and recharge, then go to The Boss at Metrotown Remember to bring cash though!
26 August 2021 9:21
My go-to mall in everything that I need. Name a store.they have it.accessible to public transpo and also near the Crystal mall and surround by good restaurants
23 August 2021 9:59
Metrotown has their water bottle filling stations closed in the middle of an intense record breaking heatwave. It's so hot that it's dangerous for some people. There are people including elderly and very young who might not have anywhere else to go to beat the heat during this time and with half the ac turned off in the building at least let people access water. Especially considering the money they rake in.
22 August 2021 2:33
I love going to Case Mogul to get my phones and iPads screen protector. They are super good at repairs and keep such a big variety of case and cable selection. Love their prices.
12 August 2021 4:53
Because it's COVID time, it made me nervous that there are so many people there. Maybe they had been vaccinated, but certainly not that many people had received their second dose. I understand that businesses need customers to survive and malls are designed to have people come to a concentration of stores, but it still felt like a place where many bubbles were crossing. I went in to do me grocery shopping and for out. I didn't want to linger.
22 July 2021 3:13
Metropolis is A very big mall and as such is often quite busy they have pretty much everything you could want, including some cool stores like Muji and uncle Tetsu cheesecake.
One of the big stores is uniglo which is incredibly popular, they have a decent food court but it is always packed. You can take the Expo line all the way up there which beats the drive both in time and convenience. There is a ton of parking underground but be warned it’s very easy to misplace your car it happened to me today!
If you’re looking for great shopping this is definitely a place to go.
08 July 2021 0:20
I think it needs revamping. Definetly needs a sit-down restaraunt or two.
4 stars because I have fond memories of coming to the rainforest cafe as a kid.
17 May 2021 11:27
There are many things to do here, keeps you busy. Overall a nice place to go shopping as there are many different stores to explore: D
07 May 2021 22:02
This is one of the best shopping malls I've ever enjoyed! Even if you don't need to buy anything, just to laze around and browse would be enough to make your day at least for me LOL! A must-see when you visit Vancouver! Just loved it! I miss it already!
05 May 2021 22:58
Biggest mall in BC and at a very central location. This mall has a lot to offer with lots of brands and food options.
26 April 2021 18:20
Can't afford a pricy trip to Asia. Are you tired of returning to your car and finding it unstolen and unbroken into. Wait no longer and look no further. This is like a trip to Richmond without the hazards of no 3 Rd. It's an adventure for the whole family and in case you don't like one payless shoes, and who doesn't, you can visit two more. A national treasure. Of China
25 April 2021 10:34
I'm giving them 3 stars because they forgot about the disabled. In their food court they have taken away most of the seating for understandable reasons but have left no options for the disabled like those who need frequent sitting breaks (chronic fatigue, etc).
14 April 2021 4:47
Wow, too much.too many stores.you can stay shopping forever.

One of the best malls in North America.

In USA Malls are shrinking and closing.
07 April 2021 15:36
It's so busy there, its hard to find where you want to go. The amount of people there felt illegal.
01 April 2021 6:37
At first the mall is like a maze but if you go there everyday, you'll gonna get used to it, and if you like walking around, you'll gonna like it.
19 March 2021 11:53
This place is just amazing! You need a whole day to really enjoy this mall. I would compare this place to the West Edmonton Mall. There are hundreds of shops over here. I would call it a one stop shop, if you don't plan on going to Tsawwassen Mills or McArthur Glen Outlets. There is plentiful parking and for all that walk you do, there is a food court on the third floor near Hudson's Bay store. A great place for all family members to enjoy and especially for those naughty/ mischievous kids who run around all the time. Overall, this 2nd largest mall in Canada is definitely a go to place if you are in B. C, Burnaby. Enjoy!
15 February 2019 17:19
Amazing mall! Great shops and great food at the foodcourt. Even some gluten free option for a celiac like myself! (Chachis) I always go to metro for my shopping.)
04 February 2019 2:35
Nice mall.has a good food court with mostly Chinese food and many fast food restaurants.it wasn't easy to find a parking as it is so crowded. Loved the Walmart here
02 February 2019 14:26
Very big Mall. You might practically find everything you want.
Horribly designed. So bad that every directory spot had a human guide to help you. You will be hard pressed to find a restroom.
26 January 2019 19:03
Christmas shopping scene team this year especially being so close to the event. I found some really good advice and had time to manage to go to a movie
22 January 2019 15:33
Great place for shopping. You can find almost every brand here, some brands only you can find here. Beautifully designed 3 levels, very convenient and easily accessible location for public transport. Attached to Sky train and bus station. If you are for a day in Vancouver and want to shop this is the place.
22 January 2019 11:24
Probably the best or most popular mall in the lower mainland area. It's like any other mega mall with your movie theater, food plaza, and retail stores. Lots of parking and pretty much has whatever you need
13 January 2019 4:23
Great stores in the mall with lots of variety to shop for, they deserve a 4 to 5. I would've given the mall at least 4 stars. However, due to the fact that this mall isn't that handicap friendly. Also it lacks enough benches for handicap and the elderly to sit down near the escalators, elevators and main entrances - inside the Kingsway one near Superstore. This is a main area. Whatever happened to the benches that use to be here? After shopping through the mall and buying groceries, it would be nice to be able to sit down before I go home. The McDonalds area is always packed. I don't want to be forced to sit outside when it's raining and damp out.

Also, no escalators to go downstairs when to come in from Skytrain near Fortune House restaurant. OI also noticed a youmg mother nreded help with her stroller. Unless there is 2 people, it's hard to get a baby stroller downstairs. It seems like it's a monthly thing that the escalators are out of order on the mall, esp near the food court. I remember around summer time at one point escalators at both end of the food court were malfunctioning.

Come on Metrotown, I'm not the only that has noticed the lack of benches, please put some some more in. I shop at the mall on weekdays between 1: 45 and 4: 15 pm do it's not too busy aftet lunch. There's a lot of seniors and disabled people that needs to sit and rest so they don't collapse.

This is the largest shopping mall in the province of British Columbia. It includes grocery stores such as the Real Canadian Superstore, cinemas featuring the latest movie releases, various clothing shops and a large food court. Convenient access to the mall via public transit (the Skytrain) and loads of vehicle parking. The mall opened in 1986 along with the introduction of the Skytrain and Expo 86. Before 1986, the main shopping store in this area was Sears Canada, which as of 2018 is now no longer in business.
03 January 2019 20:47
It never ceased to amaze me how busy and bustling this place is. All the time, seemingly. Parking can require patience, especially the covered parking, but there is an incredible variety of stores, services and food, a Superstore, Bay, Chapters, couple of Starbucks, a Silver City movie theatre and more.
30 December 2018 9:19
It can get EXTREMELY crowded.

It seems like the few escalators the mall has are always under maintenance. The elevators are sparse and always overcrowded. There are very few bathrooms, usually full, mostly dirty.

It has the average selection of shops. It’s nice to have it all under one roof.
26 December 2018 2:44
Whenever i go there it is always super busy and stuff and people are super rude and just decide to bump into me and laugh. LIKE WHAT THE HECK IS THAT PEOPLE OMG.if i were you people i would go to park royal it has way better shops and you will have a better experience.good day folks and don't forget to shop at park royal fam

Edit: Nov 2017 - Metrotown is a great and safe place to bring your child (ren) for entertainment and shopping.

Although I do come here from time to time, I would put this low on the list of things you can do while visiting Vancouver. It's not that I don't appreciate this mall, because it's our biggest, best all around mall with theatre, several food courts, ample free covered and open air parking, etc etc. But it's going to take up a whole day of your trip unless you're the type who marches through a shopping centre without stopping.

Mind you, if you are interested in shopping, don't prefer the natural scenery and outdoor activities that are abundant in Vancouver, then you'll want to spend a day here. I'll change my score to a 5. It's a well managed mall and so if this is how you prefer to spend your time, and I'm Asian so I know how consumerism is part of our way of life - then come to this mall if it's on your travel route. Otherwise, I would recommend shopping downtown at the open air storefronts. There are a few indoor malls available for your climate controlled convenience downtown as well.
15 December 2018 19:47
The shopping is amazing, best in Vancouver. But then, they threaten to tow you away if you stay for more than 4 hours. That's not how you treat customers. I'm tempted to give 1 star just for that honestly.
02 December 2018 15:16
Everytime I visit Vancouver I have to stop by to shop at this mall, honestly one of the best malls on Vancouver island! Highly recommend to tourist and everyone who loves food courts and shopping!
23 November 2018 18:26
A big mall, with a huge variety of stores and good food court - with different styles and for different budgets. You can find whatever you want there!
16 November 2018 14:53
Their is a different variety food places spread around the mall and a lot of different stores and whoever had the /idea of have all the stores that people like has a pretty marketing strategy just to keep people in the mall longer to spend more money than that person wants too is pretty smart for putting fast food around the mall and then Putting the rest in 1 Area and having similar stores in entirely different side of the mall. Having a cinema, Apple, a lot of clothing places, Sports check, Winners, etc. And it has great service very organized with a lot of amazing stores I strongly suggest going if your not from the greater Area of Vancouver has a lot of buses that go their and it is by a skytrain System
Plus when they added the new Walmart is kinda trash form my own opinion from going their and other WalMarts it's OK not the best you can't a lit of good deals if your tying to find one, I would suggest going to one that is not in a mall probably because it's in the mall and it will be a bit more then usual, kinda don't know where I went with that. At the time I just thought of the Walmart
