I'm writing this review on behalf of my mom who went to this location on Thursday December 14th just to look around and 2 employees were basically laughing at her. She was talking to another worker and said she'll be back later and they were still at a corner laughing at her. She asked them what they are laughing at and they didn't respond. She even said put in my name and number and see how much I have spent and they still laughed at her.

What kind of customer service is this?

My mom and myself have spent a lot of money at other Michael Hill locations for a very long time and have previously shopped at this one.

Stay away from this location. You can't look around and will get laughed at.

Friendly and courteous staff. Was able to help me find a gift. Krista was amazing and fun to work with. Helped me make the right choice and will be coming back to get the Christmas gift

It was a worst experience ever. We bought a diamond necklace for $500 from guildford michael hills and it broke. We went to mc aurther glenn michael hills to get it fixed. We paid $70 for repair and it broke from the same place again same night. We gave it again for repair and it broke again after 2 weeks from same place. Its a waste of money

We came in a few days ago and were helped by a very charming and helpful young lady named Krista. She went above and beyond with her service and made it work for us. I don't know much about jewelry but she was very patient and knowledgeable about everything we talked about. Will definitely be referring friends and family to her and coming back ourselves!

Came here to get wedding rings for my fiancé and I. We right away made it clear that we were on a budget and told the sales lady what exactly that budget was for both of the rings… she immediately showed me this ring that I LOVED as it was absolutely beautiful however it was out of our price range & I was extremely disappointed. I again let the sales lady know that it was out of our price range and we only want to see the rings that’s we can afford… however throughout our time in the store she kept picking this ring up and reshowing me it.knowing I could not afford this.it was extremely embarrassing and hurtful.

She did not listen to our requests at all and just did her own thing. I have never in my life felt so unheard. Every ring she showed was either out of our budget or was unable to get in my size (which she knew as I was sized right away)

She made a pretty ignorant comment about how we either couldn’t afford anything or couldn’t get my size or I didn’t like it and laughed… making me feel extremely upset and wanting to walk out…

We were so upset we did not get my fiancé a ring and just settled for a ring that I barley looked at but just said yes as I wanted out of there as I was feeling humiliated and ashamed…. I left the store with tears in my eye. Truthfully now I don’t even want my ring as it is just going to be a reminder of the horrible experience I had at Michael Hill

This location people are amazing and have the extensive knowledge of what they have in the store. They have a lot more new collections in different sizes compared to others.

I tried to return a bracelet after 30 days and was told that absolutely no exceptions are made. I wasn't even offered a gift card. It's not printed on the receipt. There policies are archaic! It's too bad that this kind of customer service is aloud.

I highly recommend this place for your jewellery needs. Rona helped us find an affordable and very beautiful engagement ring. It’s very rare nowadays to come across a customer service experience like this! I left the store feeling extremely happy and it’s all thanks to her. Thank you Rona!

I have never shopped for jewelry before so I came in kind of clueless. I was assisted by Rita who proceeded to assist me quite professionally. She told me she was a Psych major and applied her education so she could give me accurate insight with what I was looking for. Usually when people say "this is what you need" it always feels like oh no they're going to show something expensive so I buy more but she was great with it, she gave me so many different options at different price points and she was also willing to work within my budget. She was very patient with me and worked with me wanting to see different things and asking for different options and opinions and I appreciate her taking the time considering there's usually a line up due to covid so the fact that they focus and make you feel prioritized was a delightful experience. I ended up leaving with something slightly over my budget but I don't regret it at all because she worked with me to exhaust all my options to make sure I get the best gift possible. The sales methods weren't pushy either, it was more like "hey this is what I think would look good but if you don't agree then that's totally fine" which is nice because then you don't feel pressured to purchase anything. I ended up having to rush back to work since I was shopping on break and went over my break so I left in a rush but she was nice enough and let me come back for it at the end of my shift. When I came back for it her manager Arjun and their regional manager were also very pleasant and gave me friendly and inviting customer service. Overall a great experience from the store, I would definitely shop here again!

They also have good safety protocols with covid so it doesn't feel uncomfortable to take your time and shop which is an added bonus.

My fiancé and I went back to this specific branch because of the quality service they provide to people. All staff were welcoming especially Rona who was more than professional.

She was very knowledgeable, helpful and easy to talk to, which I think is VERY important when giving customer service.

We were looking for wedding bands and the shop has so much to offer, and we're very happy we chose our rings at Michael Hill.

Overall, we loved our experience and I'm just glad we didn't look anywhere else.
Keep it up and we'll see you soon!:)

This review is long overdue. Thank you Rona for helping my mom get the diamond ring she dreamed of. We were in the area to appraise my mom's bracelet and when we asked her, she said they dont appraise but that didnt stop her (Rona) in trying to help us. Our main goal was to actually know the weight of the bracelet. She offered to weigh it. And one thing lead to another, my mom went home happy with another jewelry in her collection. Very great costumer service and easy to approach staffs. We were not dressy that day so I was even intimidated to step in a jewelry store. Rona was so nice and she didnt checked what I was wearing. Most salesperson usually do.
Thanks again Rona! We'll see you again soon!

Bought a product online from Michael hill a while ago and had a problem with it. Went in and consulted Arjun who was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to get me the right paperwork for the lifetime warranty that I got online but didn't have the document for. Great service. Definitely would recommend!

I’ve been to a lot of jewelry stores but this one is by far the best one ive come across. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ask for Rona or Elenita they’ll take care of ya!

I have never endured this type of bad service ever. Absolutely the worst customer service after Carter left this location. One of their managers by the name of Mo is the utmost rudest sales representative I have ever encountered. Making nothing but excuses and accusations because him and his team made a mistake and they did not want to own up to it. He went out of his way to make me feel not only like an invaluable customer but an invaluable human being too. He needs to get retrained on the basics of customer service, learning how to talk to people and problem resolution. The service isn’t even worth one star but saying as I haven no option to give it 0 I’ll settle with one.

I paid for a care plan policy but they wont fix a ring that got broken only after a few months. They said I have to pay $300 to replace the shank. So, what’s the use of the care plan policy? Also, they wont entertain you here if they think you’re not really buying. Only the customers who are worth of their time because thats how they get money, they get a good commission for every item they sell. Someone I know used to work here and told me about it. Never buying here again especially cheap and sale items that they will never repair even with the care plan policy. Not worth it.

I had a bad experience with one store in Edmonton about one of my purchases they told me this store does not have the item.i called the store and i talked with Mohamed who helped me so much to find the item and ship it to Edmonton at the same time. THANK YOU MOHAMED!

Customer service was disappointing, I walked in and they were very rude and dismissive. I wanted to buy a simple ring for myself to commemorate my new job, and I nearly left in tears as I felt very disrespected. I wanted to get a refund right then and there but I was so frustrated that I didn’t. Once the person helping me realized that my budget was around $200, she was distracted and kept looking around at the other customers, probably wanting to get their commission instead. I had to get my ring resized and when I went in, they were yet again rude. They handed me my ring in a little plastic bag and didn’t even offer a box to hold it. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I will never be buying from this location again.

I have to say the customer service I have received from this location is amazing. I have never had a bad experience. Stacey - the manager made sure I was happy because of a ring issue i was having. She gave me a few options and was quick to solve the issue. She was very nice about the whole situation and very fast to help. Everyone at this location has been super nice to me every time I have gone in.

The sale associate was so rude when I went their to return the pair of earrings I didn't liked.
I had to wait too long to get refund. I am never going back there.
