Always helpful staff and a good selection of stuff. I am not at all a crafty or artistic person but I come in occasionally for miscellaneous things. Sales are usually really good.

We had to get a cable added to a new piece of art the fella did it for free in 5mins. I was completely floored by the exceptional service

I detest the new self-checkouts, please bring back your cashiers. To apply a coupon I need to have an employee scan for me so what’s the point?

I called and asked to set aside as many balls of yarn that I needed …. Went to Park Royal the next day and was so happy to have them set aside for me! Awesome! Richmond branch had none but checked his screen and sent me to the west Broadway branch saying they had 16 balls of Yarn … but in fact they had none! Paid for parking and was left without a product! So I guess you need to call ahead yourself to get your products!

Alex was extremely helpful and patient when I was picking up a Purolator package. Purolator had made a mistake (shocker) which made them think the package was not there. Alex kindly went through all the packages twice to find it. Thank you!

But always I face the same issue in all locations (lack of staff, you can search for up to 10-15minutes and not find someone who can help you.and also, many of the staff lack knowledge about the products they have)

Its OK, not the worst, not the best, pretty messy, not very friendly staff, not super helpful either, a lot of overpriced items for the quality in my opinion, could be a lot better, especially in such a big place like West Van

I used to get my pictures framed at Aaron Brothers, but as Michaels bought them, I decided to go there to get a few special pieces framed for my new place.
The frame samples looked alright but I was hoping they would look better once they were put together. They did not. The frames looked really cheap and should not for spending over $100 on each of them.
When I went to pick up my frames, I saw they had put spacers in the frames to protect the photo - which is great in theory but changes the look of a frame to a shallow shadowbox.
I told the staff I was unhappy with the work, but the only option they gave me was for them to do it again. I did not want to leave my previous photos with them again for fear of damage, so the only option I had was to sign off as "picked up in good condition" in order to get my photos back. I called my credit card to file a claim but they couldn't do anything about it because of what I signed.
They also did not call me when the photos were ready. Luckily, I decided to visit to see if it was ready 3 weeks after I dropped them off.
If you're going to spend your money on framing, go to one of the wonderful small businesses in the area instead.

I was used to the one downtown Vancouver or on east Broadway. This was my 1st time to the west van location. I found it to have way more stock and all the staff were amazing here. I went back the next week. My cashier was especially fantastic. I'll have to look up her name. Loved her energy and vibe.

I go to a lot of Michael's stores to hunt for season end products. Sometimes they have these grab bags for $5 which all have been such a fun surprise in a good way. The only grab bag I got from PARK ROYAL WEST VANCOUVER location turned out to be broken stuff that I cannot use. Do NOT GO THERE!
I understand that grab bags can be whatever leftover products in them, but they still need to be intact or have no missing pieces. There was a bit of dishonesty here. If the product is broken don't put it in the bags! Also all the other locations have actual grab bags/boxes, full of stuff that are functioning and can be used, but this particular location has the smallest grab bags. For example one bag contained 2 garlands, which at 90% at the end of the season is only $2 each. 2 x $2 = $4 only. A grab bag is $5. Again, i don't know what is this store thinking. It's no wonder they still have Fall stuff in March they can't sell.

Good Michaels, however, half the shelves were empty when I was there. Not sure what was going on.

Some great finds in the sale areas, like a recent buy of a cherished Faber Castell set of pens with fashion illustration booklet. The good stuff is grabbed quickly. Regular prices are high. Very friendly, helpful staff. They do not stock higher quality items like Caran d'Ache watercolor pencils. However lots of lower quality to semi-pro fine art supplies and paper. Lots of good craft items.

It's super annoying that they ask for your email address at check-out like it's a standard part of paying and not a marketing ploy that actually requires consent. I won't shop here anymore because I am not interested in sharing my personal information with a corporation without being asked if I even want to do so.

Find almost anything in wearable, household and travel necessities, at sometimes even ridiculously low prices. A must Visit when in West Vancouver.

Ordered online and package went missing. Their customer service was not able to help and just keeps on transfering me to the “next advanced customer”. Had to repeat the problem over and over. Waited for an hour and the last customer directly closes the chat before I gets to say anything.

I had a very poor experience at the Park Royal Michele’s tonight. I had made a purchase 9 days ago and the stores policy is price match within 7 days. I brought this up with the store manager tonight and received a very condescending and snarky response denying my request. I did not appreciate being talked down to. If I could give less then 1 star I would.

The shop have a lot of things about crafts. I love it there. There is basically everything in there.

WestVan Michaels looks like a ValueVillage with the disarray and seemingly sparse but adequate stock. No staff on the floor to ask questions, seems all staff were at cash registers. I walked around trying to figure where face paint, balloons and such were. Finally i waited on the other side of a long shelf of things that firns a maze line to the till and once a transaction was done for a sale i quickly asked where my items could be found. The store is poorly laid out and "scrappy" feeling (haha). 2 dollar stores in WV are as good and less convaluted.

Very clean store in Abbotsford and courteous workers found everything we needed from the baking section

Michaels is a good craft store, but don’t mistake it for an art store. It has a variety of materials for crafts and projects, but it is very overpriced. I would recommend that you come in with their 40-50% off one item coupon if you're buying an item or two, they always have this discount, and it makes for a fair price.

We got some artwork framed through here. They were great at the consult. Very knowledgeable and gave suggestions but were not pushy. They stayed in communication with us and let us know right away when our items were ready.

Great place for everything arts and crafts. I typically go here for their nice selection of blank vinyl sheets and they have most colours you can imagine. The line up for checkout can be busy, however the cashiers tend do be fairly quick!

Didn't realize you could have parties there for the young ones creating stuff of your choice of package.

Craft mecca, need I say more? Pretty much anything you could want is under this roof. Lineups at this location tend to get pretty long, but all things considered it's a fun store to get lost in.

Though lacking in staff, the various items (and large variety) are displayed in a meaningful manner as to be able to find what you need. Good pricing compared to other similar stores.

I don't think the prices are all that great, and you can only use one coupon per day on one item only.

A wide selection but so very few staff members on the floor who know much of anything about the crafts and such that they sell products for, that is, if you can find anyone at all.

They were supposed to phone back about a picture frame.
Took my pictures apart kept the glass and the frame.not a pleasant experience.

Having a great sale. Took advantage of the half price regular item coupon. The teashirts for 3$ are a great bargain.

Those 40% off coupon is a bit of a scam cause it does not apply to discounted items and everyday good value items

It is a great shop if you like small artifacts. It has all the things you need to make small pieces of personal art. The prices are quite affordable.
