Originally I was very happy when I found the Vinyl sheets I was looking for on clearance/sale for only a dollar each. Seeing this I decided to get a more generous amount of sheets given the better price. So you can imagine my disappointment when the teller told me that the sheets were actually not on sale and were still selling at their regular 2.5 dollar price. When I disagreed and insisted that they the label for them had said they were on clearance, she argued back and claimed that I must have been mistaken. As the difference in dollar amount was not high and was still acceptable, I folded and paid anyway, however it was still extremely frustrating to have been lied to. That being said, the other employees at the store were very kind and helpful regardless, which is the only reason why I haven’t rated lower.

Very expensive, they are a huge store but I dont think that they have a lot of variety of products.
If you are looking for good sale, this is not the place, everything that is on clearance is trash and they want to charge as is not. I dont really like the place. Better go to dolarama.

Went into the North Van store looking for specific product that the website indicated was in stock. Nothing was on the peg but Victoria went above and beyond to find it in a recently received shipment still in the stockroom. This is the level of customer service we should all expect to receive. Thanks again, Victoria!

Sometimes it’s better to buy things off amazon, at michaels they can be double the price, sometimes even more. It has good stuff tho, and sometimes there’s good finds in the clearance bins, you just have to take the patience to rummage through it and be willing to get a few splinters

Great selection and fun crafts, but expensive and some products are way overpriced. Staff are pleasant but need to work on facial hair control. It is distracting when a female customer sales representative has a partial moustache and beard. I had a hard time concentrating on imputing my payment on the debit machine.

The best place to find your Arts tools and many variety of things to buy. I love to come to here and the most of my favourite place ever.

I did a curb-side pick up for a large yarn order and not only did they cancel part of the order without informing me (I had to look up the order online after the fact to see the cancellation notice, there was no email or text/call to let you know beforehand), the yarn that they gave me was horrible. Half of them looked like they had been run over by a cart. The yarn was completely frayed and partially unravelled at many sections and because of this, every time I try to use it, my crochet hook nearly tears it apart.

I don't have a car so it's difficult for me to get out to North Vancouver. The only reason I selected this location was because they said they had all of the colours I was looking for and didn't tell me that they cancelled part of the order. If they did, I wouldn't have made the entire trip out there. Only one of the skeins was showed as cancelled and yet I'm missing several balls of yarn. I have no idea who to talk to about getting that refunded as when you talk to them online, they are absolutely no help whatsoever.

The curb-side pick up is a total scam and just a way to pawn off broken items on you. I'm extremely disappointed as I've been a loyal customer for a very long time. Don't shop here unless you want half broken yarn scraps.

I worry about this location because every time I visit it there seems to be maybe 2 people shopping in this huge store. Items seems to be out of stock as there are many areas with empty shelves. Don’t get me wrong I’m still rating them 5 stars because I love the distance between my home and the store and I enjoy purchasing my materials needed here. The staff is always very polite and helpful and I don’t have to worry about waiting in a long line of people for assistance or to make a purchase. I hope this location remains in place for as long as possible.

After many positive experiences shopping at Michaels, I was taken aback by one of the CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCES I've ever had.
I was asking for a more legitimate receipt from an online order as my employer would not accept their oddly set-up online receipt. When I asked for a new receipt, the store manager, SAVIO, claimed there was nothing he could do. He proceeded to laugh at me when I said I was frustrated with the hoops I'd had to jump through to get a receipt (calling customer service, going back and forth with someone over email, only to not make progress.)

SAVIO never showed any understanding. He continued to say there was nothing he could do, and then asked me what I wanted him to do. I gave the suggestion to do a return and charge me again. He said it was not possible a number of times, and then finally gave in and did so. It was completed in less than 2 minutes. I mentioned that typically customer service might apologize for the inconvenience, and he said, "What do you want me to say? I'm sorry? " Along the way Savio also later admitted that Michaels was working on their online receipt as it wasn't great. I mentioned that would have been a nice comment to make earlier to show empathy and understanding. This was lost on him. "What would that have done? " he said. Savio modelled a complete lack of care towards a customer in front of four young employees. Management at Michaels North Vancouver needs to be reviewed. Someone needs to be held accountable for this. I am a working mother with young kids and the amount of time I've lost on this, all while I had tried to do an online order to save time, is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

The manager on Saturday, July 16 was on of the rudest and most unprofessional person I’ve even encountered in Vancouver. Called for an inventory check while website was saying they have the item on stock, and after rudely saying WE DONT HAVE THE TIME, he hanged up on me. Never ever shopping from Micheals again.

This is my new fav Michael's shopping location! The staff here are absolutely wonderful. The manager of this store is beyond helpful, pleasant and kind with a great sense of humor. The sales associate Sandra was also beyond wonderful! They both made my shopping experience here absolutely fantastic.

This is a dangerous shop for me, what a pleasure to wander around picking up pieces and products for future diy projects ️

I always can rely on getting what I need from Michaels and the staff are very keen to help you find what you are looking for.

This is an amazing shop can provide you with lots of creative things helping you for your hand crafts, art made and manipulate your creativity. Although at the time we reached there it had just 2 staff, but she was very helpful. The prices are a little bit high but it worth. We bought some aromatic substances to make candles.

Has a lot more stuff than certain other Michael's locations. Excellent customer service. Even though I'm not a crafter, I had fun.

I went into the crafting store of Michael's to look for a candle that had four wicks. Unfortunately they didn't have one like this. They had the three wick variety contained in a glass bowl. That would not work as a cooking source in a power outage because being in a glass bowl, I could envision the entire candle melting because of its containment, especially with a cooking pan over it.
I am prepping for the fall and winter in case wind storms or natural disasters occur. I like to have safe alternatives. I had not been in the store for several months and the candles section had been moved to a different aisle.
The store was easy to navigate through and the aisles were clear. Shelves here are always well stocked with inventory.
I departed the store without anything.

Staff were unhelpful and unfriendly.had an issue and none of them even attempted to help me resolve it.

Older building, but I really liked this location.

Things were really organized, and I didn’t have any trouble finding most things.

For the items that I couldn’t find, I looked them up on the website. It shows quantity and location of item as per the specific store.

They had what I was looking for (resin) as well as some paint.

Amazing selection on inexpensive paint! All types.

I had a refund to do before I bought my items. It was quick and easy.

Staff was friendly. This just may be my new go to Michael’s in the City.

We had 15 min to closing. They said take your time. So awesome. Got everything we needed with their help.

Great selection of products but almost impossible to find a staff member if you have any questions, or can't find what you are looking for.

Obviously I love micheals. Who wouldn't love an art and crafts store. Respectfully the ladies here are awesome. Just wish that they didn't stereotype me the moment I walked through the door and follow me around as if I was gunna steal

Went here for a framing appointment. The website to book the appointment was not great but worked. However, the appointment itself was quite good. Haven't got the end product yet but have used them before and the last items were done well. Always find the coupons as if you are not getting at least 40-50% off the list price you are paying more than you need to (might need to wait a week or two for the right coupon though).

You will find 95% of your craft nerds here. There are always things to find out you are doing something my special but the basics are here. Oops. I meant craft needs. Anyhoo.

Never have I seen the shelves so baron of Christmas items. Kind of sad. No doubt covid reasoning behind it.but still sad that there is so little left.

Hate to make a negative review but can’t help it usually the staff at this location is super friendly but not the last few times I’ve shopped for art supplies. Today the girl in art was rude and wouldn’t stop putting things away to help. Didn’t bother buying them at this location.

Michael's in North Vancouver. This is located in a strip mall next to McDonald's and Canadian Tire. The location is well kept and bright and the service is excellent with helpful friendly staff. No mandatory masks at this time, but stickers for lining up physically distanced and plexiglass shields for the staff. Good selection of product and there's usually a coupon available that gives you a nice discount on single items.

I like Michaels. But.many times I go away empty handed as they do not offer certain little doo-dads you can get in the states and/or online. I always check out the store before I end up ordering online. Folks at the North Van store are ALWAYS so helpful and very nice. I like this store.

This is my go to place for all things crafty but especially for yarn. I should work here i spend so much of my paycheck here:) There is something for everyone of evey generation and during these trying times we all need hobbies.

Very few staff around but understandable as it's usually not too busy. Big store with good friendly people working the floor and check out lanes.

5 tries to fix my custom framing and still not done right. Gotta go back for the 6th time in 2 weeks hopefully it will be done right this time.

I went to this store yesterday and honestly I think this store is very well organized. I found a great variety of products and very friendly staff. The lady at the checkout was very nice she was super friendly and answered all my questions actually she helped me choose some stuff (I think her name was laes) thank you Michaels for always making my crafts pretty!

Come here for great fabric deals! Michaels is always full of inspiration and I have trouble walking through here because I can imagine so many potential projects. Overall I find that they are overpriced, but they generally have a little bit of everything. This Michaels currently has a fabric section which is top notch. Most of their bolts of fabric are $5 to $20/meter which is very cheep. When I was looking for Christmas fabric earlier most places were selling it for $30-$60/meter.

Lovely, helpful staff, usually quite organized, plus it's full of crafting things yeee. I'm currently making so many things with all the lovely Cricut crafting items I found there.:)

It is not the Michael's that we used to see, they have remodeled all the Michaels close to me.they have taken away a lot of the Yarns in knitting a lot of the cooking supply baking Etc, it's not the same and the staff is nowhere to be seen, you have to hunt them down and when you do they can't answer you, other than to say "well this was a corporate decision to get rid of a lot of the Departments" or the extensiveness of the different departments.the staff are always friendly to be fair, however they are ill-informed by their superiors!

Michaels generally has a nice selection of craft supplies, but doesn't provide artist's supplies/ high-end supplies for painting or sketching. The yarn selection is definitely low quality, which is fine for some quick student work, but almost everything is poly- something with a few examples of 100% cotton.no wool or bamboo or much you'd want to use for a great piece.

Looking for a old style brass compass made by General. They have lots of arts and craft goodies, but not what I was looking for.

Great place to find all your basic craft making needs. Lots of free parking. Came here to get some framing done. Wait for their monthly specials.

I have never posted a bad review in my 20+ years of being a customer. Today, I felt compelled to share. I was very rudely treated by a cashier, Michelle, when I asked for an explanation why my discount coupon didn’t seem to apply to the right item. I was told to read the coupon again with such an attitude that I was shocked to the point where I asked her to be careful in the manner in which she spoke to me. Again, I asked for explanation and I was told that it did not apply to Everyday Value Item. I asked for clarification why an everyday value item was different when I am paying the regular price. Does this mean that my most expensive item, which was fabric, was of lesser quality and that I somehow should have known! I had to ask what the difference between both meant? At no point in time did Michelle care to explain anything in a respectful manner. Sadly, I asked for the Manager, which she happened to be. Surprising! For a manager so disrespectful and unwilling to offer explanation I was saddened that this person was considered for a role that should only be entrusted to someone that can articulate themselves and also set an positive example for staff learning from her. Michaels must be really desperate to find help.

I wish they had really small bundles of yarn in a very wide variety of options. That is the only problem I had. And the really small bundles of yarn they did have, most of them were expensive.

A good place to look for cheaper baking utensils & creative stuffs. Take a walk along the alleys inside is like a journey to artsy wonder world. I have been to 2 Michaels stores and most the staffs are very helpful.

Its an arts and crafts supply store with walmart style service and large, weirdly priced selection of cheap stuff. A system of discounts and loyalty points has refined the age old craft of enticing people who can't refuse bargain. Most of the time you will find what you need, especially if you are a 12 year old girl. If you're not, get what you need and get out, and try Opus for better prices on frames.

I found lots of items in there, that my son needs for his art work, their price is quite expensive but their customer service is excellent,

As I walked in, an associate greeted me and asked if I could be directed somewhere. Friendly staff and when asked for an item, they took me to the area where the product would be.

Good location! I find they have more things in stock than the Broadyway/Cambie street location. The cashier who served me was really kind and seemed sincerely interested in the art project I'm working on.
