Great fresh fruit and vegetables. Always something else new like jams or freezer items, ice cream, bread. Want some hay? They don't disappoint. Corn on the cob later in the year. I always love the fresh pea crop - short but wonderful so you don't want to miss it. Lots of berries in season when appropriate, strawberries, and much more. Check out the mighty pumpkin patch in the fall - nice place to take the kids to pick out a pumpkin. They set up picture stations for you to save the memory. Wonderful family business worth stopping by for. Farmers own and run this excellent garden market and pull in from their farm and others as well. Right by the turn off on the highway. Take some fresh items home.
Cute place, my partner and I appreciated the tripod set ups in front of some photo stands around the patch! It was just a little sparse, perhaps due to end of season. I wish there were more activities at the patch but otherwise I would come back!
Michell's has stood out in Central Saanich for a long time. It is a place the locals look to for a lot of fresh produce needs, and also find a nice selection of tasty locally made treats to go with the greens. I like it even more on sunny days, but it can be loved all year round.
I love Michell's Farm so much. Their greens are super fresh and tasty. I love their eggs as well. I cannot buy ground beef from super markets anymore after having theirs. Super delicious. During the summer, this is a good place to buy berries and corn.:)
Declan gave us wonderful customer service, including holding the door open for us and taking the cart when we were finished. I hope management appreciates his efforts and pleasant demeanor.
Picked up some veggies, came across a poorly trained staff member. Didn't want us to husk the corn unless we were sure we were buying it. Only a few small cobs on the table, bags full all around it. I ended up pulling some great cobs from a bag.
Not impressed with the food truck. The small burger was very over-priced, considering it doesn't come with fries and used the Teenburger trick of puffing it up with lettuce. Most disappointing is the automatic addition of a hefty tip that you have to ask to have removed from the bill- a very slimy move. What is the tip for, making the burger I'm already paying an exorbitant price for?
I have always loved Mitchell's. Whether you come off the highway or an quiet country road, the quality of their vegies is terrific. A wonderful destination.
Worst customer experience I’ve ever seen. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The staff was super judgemental and not helpful at all, absolutely will not be back.
Bought an expensive ($8.50) small basket of strawberries. Sadly when I got home and began to rinse them off I found that 21 of the 45 small berries were over ripe, bruised and downright mushy. So disappointed, we like to support local farms but would not buy again.
Old review- but we bought pumpkins here and they went moldy in a couple days after purchasing. Will never return here and don't recommend for your pumpkin needs.
Great place for locally owned and sourced, many of the veggies are in the adjoining fields. Just don’t expect much organically grown that’s why one star less. I just bought a beautiful big squash.
Nice place if they have what you're looking for. Usually fresher than what you can find at the supermarket, although they do import some stuff and it's not all local.
Best place, super friendly, nice atmosphere. Check out Harvest Road just behind the market for great food. Bonus points for farm to table, zero waste, practised!
They have a perfect location for riding between Swartz Bay & Victoria! Their food offerings are tasty and interesting, and healthy! Definitely go again!
Good spot the way from/to the ferries or airport to do a quick grocery shop of some select local produce, the eggs are great and the fresh berries in summer are amazing. Would love to see them carry some more inventory overall as it is a long journey for a few seasonal groceries when living in town. Could feature more or other Saanich/local products?
Fantastic local farm market with good produce and great value! I'd love to see even more organic veggie options and fewer produce stickers One of our regular grocery stops (as well as Halloween pumpkin source!).
Great place to stop if you are riding on the Galloping Goose trail or heading to Island Veiw Beach. Fresh produce right from the farm at reasonable prices. I just pick up eight large corn on the cobs for a very reasonable price. Other produce from the farm is available as well.
My wife and I went to their plant nursery. Well organized, lots of selection, friendly staff. We also buy vegetables in the store when we're in the area. And the food truck/shack around the side is well worth the stop.
Always a good selection of quality local produce and a few choices from farther afield. Small dairy case, bakery items and frozen local fruit as well. Reasonable prices and friendly staff at Michell's farm.
Just had the most incredible experience. We stopped by for a quick lunch and tried the burger. We were so impressed we ended up stopping two more times and sending some friends and family their way too. It was easily the most delicious burger I have eaten in a while. Thanks for the hospitality. Hopefully we will get a chance to come back by there soon:)
I just love Michell's. I love the whole lot of them. Every single visit.left me coming back.till it became an ingredient in my regular diet of happiness.
