Bought a decently high end pc with them and i would do it again. Anytime i sent them an email inquiring about my pc they were quick to respond with responses that answered my questions in detail. I live in Nunavut and even with our less than par shipping services i still got the glass sided pc with no damage. The packaging was amazing and as good if not better attention to detail. If youre looking for a prebuilt with no bloat and premium quality i would highly recommend Micro-Vision!

Public service announcement: If you're getting an unlocked intel you need a Z series mobo to overclock the cpu. B series "overclocking" is memory overclocking, not cpu overclocking. I wish someone had told me that when i bought my first gaming pc.

Recently, my computer died and I was in the market for a custom PC. I had been told about Micro-Vision and decided to see what they had to offer.

The options they had available for parts and cases was top notch and I was easily able to create a PC that met my needs. The staff was very helpful when I had inquires and the PC was ready by the date specified.

This is the first time I went with a custom PC and the experience was great! I will definitely be going back to them for any future PC needs

I added another drive and they didn't tack on any labour charge for it so that was nice. Added more ram later and there was a good turnaround time for it. Probably going to also upgrade processor further down the road. Another big point in their favour is that they actually know what they're dealing with. The first vendor I went to was Best Buy and they referred my questions to the OEM who made the product and the OEM, on realizing it was a "big box" product, also refused to answer my questions. Which meant to continue on that avenue I'd have to buy blindly and cross my fingers. I chose not to do that and came here instead.

Very helpful staff. My son needed a simple cable which they had. We almost bought one off of Marketplace that ended up being the wrong cable. Thankfully we went into the store first. The advice was worth the price of the cable alone. Thank you. We will be back.

When I wanted to buy a new computer, I looked at every computer site I could find thinking I could find a pre-built system with everything I wanted in it. I could not. Then I hunted for every business that would custom build a computer that I wanted. I was not impressed with any site except for Micro-Vision.
Their site is set up so well it is pretty easy to pick out the parts you want and I thought it was fun. I was hesitant about this before, picking out my own parts but Alec answered every question I had [there were many] and helped me find exactly what I wanted. Alec and I were emailing for a few days before I ordered. When they build a computer, you can be absolutely sure everything is compatible! That is a nice feeling. Then they test it, to be sure everything works…like it should!
When I plugged this into the outlet and pushed the power button, it came on and was ready to use! That doe NOT happen when you buy a prebuilt system. I know. Just waiting for all the updates takes a lot of time.
I was very hesitant about buying from a business from a town I don’t live in as well. This experience was far better than what I thought it might be though. It was less expensive than buying a prebuilt system too. I would rate Micro-Vision 10/10. I love this new computer. And even after you get your new computer, you are encouraged to not hesitate if you have questions. That alone makes you feel good.
I would recommend Micro-Vison to anyone who wants a quality system.

Ordered a top-of-the-line PC from the other side of the country. Not only receiving what I had ordered precisely, there was excellent customer service and instructions on how to remove the styrofoam keeping the PC parts safe during transport from the case itself before powering on. I couldn't have asked for better.

i work mainly on high performance computing (HPC) clusters, but wanted a local machine that could perform better, on fewer cores, and power through training large machine learning models.this machine more than delivers.it's fast, quiet, cool and looks great.microvision has clearly taken the time to curate their build options because the only options they offer are those that review well on independent tech sites.that hugely simplified the build process for me and i couldn't be happier with each component, from the well ventilated case to the lightning fast GPU and SS drive.their customer service was also amazing.randy was really helpful and accommodating, and went out of his way to make a change to the order, spending extra time to make sure that the build was perfect.without a doubt, i will be using microvision to build my next machine!

I was having great difficulties with my new home and wi-fi signal strength. Previously, I had always had my desk top computer wired into the modem rather than using wi-fi. The signal was very weak to my desktop and would cut out continuously. The actual computer box was in a cabinet. When Micro-Vision suggested that I get longer "rabbit ears" for my wi-fi, this solved the problem entirely. They provided wonderful service just like the other times I have taken my computers into for servicing.

Mix and match components, motherboards with legacy connection options, and the cleanest install of Windows (zero bloatware) I've ever owned. I received the computer within days of ordering and it was up and running in minutes. I really can't say enough about how impressed I am - thank you)

Fantastic Company! I ordered a PC for my work in animation and Micro-Vision helped me tweak the design so it was an ideal build for my needs at a great price. Really great Service, I would use again and definitely recommend.

I needed a custom rebuild for my audio video production PC, which these guys helped me spec out and assemble efficiently and knowledgeably. They built it quickly, and shipped it north to the Yukon promptly. The PC has been working wonderfully.

I expressed my priority for a quiet PC, and indeed all the components they recommended, including the power supply, the case, the CPU cooler and the graphics card (all of which could generate fan noise) are so quiet I can't hear the computer when standing right next to it.

I was especially impressed that there was no bloatware at all in the pre-installed Windows OS (!). Yay, no nonsense trial antivirus software to uninstall!

I did have a concern when the CPU cooler appeared to have bent during shipping, but their tech support was extremely prompt and helpful, resolving the problem quickly.

I totally recommend these guys, and I will be looking forward to dealing with them again in the future.

Service is great, I like when you ask a specific question you get an answer and not "Just wait I will read the manual " as you would find often buying a system off the shelf from a Big Box. I don`t often post reviews but I cannot recommend Micro-Vison enough. Plus they are a Local Business, And to add price wise having a system built to your needs is I feel much more cost effective than buying something off the shelf and making it your own. I will at some point be back for another system

I needed a computer tricked out with state of the art technology and optimized to the nines. My brief was that this render rig needed to perform at break-neck speeds but also to work with no bottlenecks so that one can work at the speed of thought. No lagging, waiting for hard drives to catch up or issues of speed bumps anywhere along the chain.

This machine delivers everything I wanted and then some. Not only powerful but tidy, organized and ruggedly built.

I have been buying computers from Randy at Micro-Vision since 2012.

Back then, I was looking to purchase a new desktop computer but was not able to find one until a friend introduced me to Micro-Vision. I had previously bought custom computers from other local computer shops but they were no longer in business. Micro-Vision was able to build a desktop computer that I could afford and was happy with.

My wife and I have bought several computers over the years and have introduced many friends to Micro-Vision where they also bought computers.

When I am ready for another computer I usually have a good idea what I want for a photo computers and discuss the details to get the best configuration at the best value. The Micro-Vision web site makes it easy to get an idea of what is available and pricing before I go into the store.

For my last computer, in the spring of 2021, I wanted a new high-end photo computer and was advised to wait since something 'new' was coming out. In the fall of 2021 new hardware was announced and we were able to configure a really nice fast system that is a pleasure to use.

I have to thank you for one of the best services I have ever had on the purchase of a computer and for the high professionalism. After a long search I am very happy to have chosen Micro-Vision. Randy was a great help in configuring the right PC for me. I had configured a rather expensive system, and Randy helped me turn it into something more reasonable and affordable, and it's a great PC. Randy promised a delivery date and beat it by a day. Overall, a great experience.

I needed a new PC and although I have some experience with building my own, the last PC I built was a Windows XP machine, so I was a bit out of date!

I found Micro-Vision’s online system for PC specification really helpful. They have a range of “base” machines pre-configured and I chose one as a starting point. Then they have a system for optionally upgrading each individual base component if I wanted to. The base mortherboard and video card were my first targets, so that I could drive a number of displays for my flight simulator. I also upgraded a bunch of other stuff too, including adding a second Hard Drive and juicing up the power supply.

The problem of course is compatibility. What if I chose a component which wasn’t compatible with my chosen motherboard? How would I even know? Micro-Vision have three superb ways of fixing that.

Firstly, when choosing an upgrade from the base component, their online system only presents you with mutually compatible components. Secondly, once you have your final build ordered, Micro-Vision manually checks it out, looking for issues and reporting the results to you. Thirdly, if it’s all OK, they will build and test it before shipping it. That really put me in the comfort zone!

The packaging was totally robust, as it has to be, knowing the handling it might get in transit. The packaging included polystyrene packing pieces both inside and outside the PC case and the result was a parcel which could easily withstand the rigours of transit.

Due to my video card upgrade, they also made it very clear which video port would be live at switch-on, so that I could connect my first monitor there and monitor the power-up process. They had even set up a user with my name!

You might think that all of this would be an expensive process, but I had costed out each of the individual components of the build separately and it came to more than Micro-Vision’s total charge. The whole process was totally hassle-free and I was comfortable in the knowledge that I would have a PC which would absolutely do what I needed. Well done, guys!

I'm a motion designer and was planning to build my new 3D animation workstation myself but could not find the parts I needed at a decent price (due to GPU and silicon shortages). I shopped around for a long time looking to see if a company could customize a pre-built PC to my needs. Many offered gaming systems that were good, but I had trouble finding anyone who offered the high-end parts and specific configuration my workflow called for. But then I found Micro-Vision, and their site offered customized builds that outshone the rest: loads of options, high end parts and fair pricing (not msrp across the board, but very reasonable given the state of the market right now).
I placed my order and was pleasantly surprised by the very hands-on approach to their service. I had requested certain parts that were not even listed on their site, and they were open to looking into acquiring them for my build (and managed to do so for the most part!). I was regularly notified of how things were progressing and they asked me what my preferences were whenever a decision needed to be made. I spoke to the same person on practically every phone call (Randy is great!) and it was nice to deal with someone who knew exactly what was going on with the build. Even though I didn't get to build this PC myself, being so implicated in the process has given me a similar satisfaction.

I am so pleased with this build. It is basically what I would have built myself part for part, which I honestly don't think I would have achieved had I not gone with Micro-Vision's services. And if picking PC parts is intimidating for you, you can rely on their friendly staff to guide you through the process. Any professional who's in the market for a powerful custom PC and looking to buy Canadian has to consider Micro-Vision.

Bought an expensive component yesterday. The owner clearly has integrity and pride in his business by the way he treated me and our transaction! Randy was very friendly and helpful throughout the process, responsive by phone and email in answering my questions about component specs and availability.

The computer arrived within about 2 weeks of ordering, including shipping across Canada so I was very impressed.

The build quality is great, and the cable management is very clean. I was lucky enough to catch them with an RTX 3080 in stock despite the shortage, and they don’t scalp on prices.

I would definitely recommend micro-vision!

I recently purchased a high end gaming PC and MSI monitor through Micro-Vision. I dealt with Randy initially and everything he promised happened! I find this very rare these days! Lol.
Then I let my 11 year old son try to download Fortnite, and the computer crashed.
With the help of a friend we did a factory reset. Everything went well, except bluetooth would not work.
Today I talked with Jonathan, and I received the same wonderful service! For a small fee, (quite small considering how we had messed up the tower!) He had everything working!
I have been very satisfied with all of my dealings with Micro-Vision and would recommend this company for all computer needs!

Used to frequent this place when Jason worked here because we could always rely on him for excellent customer service, a friendly smile and results every time. But awhile back we called for help and someone very rudely said he wasn't there anymore and got aggressive when we asked for help saying they never did that (Jason had - wonder if that's what happened to him?) Haven't been happy with the phone service since. We're shopping around for a new source for assistance.

Edit: I don't think I've ever received a response from a business so succinctly demonstrative of exactly what I've just finished saying about them. Also, because I know I'm not the only one with an edit button, I'm adding this screenshot to ensure the business has to either live with the consequences of their rudeness, or address it.

I mean, I'm pretty sure based on the pattern so far which way they're going. But there's always an outside chance.

My son is 12 and building a robotic arm that can spot a crow and hose it down before it destroys the lawn. What? Buy that kid a computer, you say? I concur! Randy was and is a pleasure to work with. He is simply fun to talk to, professional and comes across as both knowledgeable and honest. Its a rare treat compared to the droids of Amazon or BestBuy etc. Dealing with Randy is more like dealing with a fun, caffeinated Obi Wan Kenobi in his early years.

He had a rare 3060 which got my attention. Now that I know him, he has my business for the foreseeable future as well. The box was very well cabled, well packaged, stress-tested and properly lacking of the usual crapifications.

Not very helpful when you looking to purchase components for your own build. Just wondered in to see if they had anything for sale and was not talked to like a customer. Even if your not selling parts outright “which is 100% okay” you can at least speak to customers walking in respectfully. This will result in me not purchasing any services from them, and not recommending them to anyone I know who builds there own computers in Nanaimo.

Went there to inquire about having a gaming computer built for my son and was welcomed with great care and respect. I told them what i was looking for specifically and they were able to answer all my questions without hesitation (and then some). Really impressed with their customer service and the quality of their products. They are very knowledgeable and honest. They didnt try to up sell me on anything unnecessary and their prices seem very fair. Went in on a friday with my ideas.back the following monday with a down payment and the computer was ready to go the following monday. 10/10 highly recommend MicroVision for all your computer needs and especially if you are looking to support a local business

Jason at Micro-Vision puts the "S" back in the word Service. My husband and I have taken our laptops to Micro-Vision on several occasions. In all instances, the work was completed in a timely, courteous and satisfactory manner. We received follow-up calls and emails. Will use M-V for all our computer service needs!

Well I booked my appointment a week ahead. Of course the day comes, I call to verify time, and a misunderstanding occurs, I rudely hung up. But once they figured out what happened they actually called me back to make good on the appointment. Big of them, after I was quite rude.
The tech came, friendly guy that extremely helpful.
I would trust my laptop with them, and have plans of upgrading my ssd, and I won’t go any where else.

If I could give zero stars I would. Very unprofessional. Very elusive with answers. No transparency and I felt like they were very pushy to put the computer on the bench. The professionalism of the man I dealt with was near non existent. I would never recommend anyone to this shop.

My husband and I have dealt exclusively with Micro-Vision for at least 15 years and been extremely satisfied with their service. They have built and serviced 2 desktop and one laptop computer for us over these years; and as well, they readily reply to questions I have via email or phone. Because they are a small, family owned operation, they can give personalized care that is not afforded customers by large companies. It goes without saying how beneficial it is to have the same people care for one’s machine (s), so that they know not only everything that’s been done with it, but also know their customers well. I took my laptop into Micro-Vision with what I suspected was a failing hard drive. Prior to this the laptop had been become so slow that I was seriously considering junking it and purchasing a new one. They suggested that a new SSD and clean install of Win 10 would probably solve my problems with the laptop.

What a difference the new drive and Win 10 installation has made. The laptop is operating better than it did when it was brand new!

My thanks to Randy and Jason for their knowledgeable advice, great service and speedy (same day) repair. They have a customer for life.
