Took my truck in for new brakes. Brakes were done but still not correct. 2 hours of labour cost over $1100.00. They sold me new tires. Had to book another appointment for new tires to be out on. Showed up on time, 8: 30 a.m. Came back in 3 hours and the truck hadn't moved from their parking lot. No tires. Came from
Salt Spring for the appointment. Took over 3 days to get my money refunded for the tires that weren't put on. I won't be back.

Amazing customer service and grate techs working in the shop and the shop managers very experience would highly recommend them to anyone.

I recommend Midas in Duncan! I had a problem with my serpentine belt and they fixed it. Great service, book prices and really friendly, helpful staff all the time.

These guys were terrific, fixed our truck during an emergency breakdown (seized caliper). When they learned we were in a rush to catch a ferry they pulled out all the stops and made it happen. Thorough, professional, and really appreciated! Chad took great care of us from start to finish. Safe and sound and we made the ferry!

The staff at this shop excel at customer service! I arrived without an appointment and asked if someone could tell me if my muffler was falling off.

Within ten minutes my vehicle was on the hoist and the mechanic explained what was happening. (Muffler was not falling off!)

Despite my vehicle occupying space in the shop, and the mechanic taking the time to illustrate the problem I was not charged a penny!

I will definitely be taking my car to this business for oil changes and anything else I may require.

They were able to get me the tires i wanted in only a day! Only downside is my own fault i did not realize that i had actually wanted LT rated tires but thats my own fault as i didnt know to ask for them

Friendly folks that I'm sure are good at their jobs, but fair warning: this is not the right place to take your vehicle if it is a foreign market import. I have a JDM Honda, which they outright refused to take in for inspection and diagnostic. Apparently it was due to not being able to look up parts, which is understandable. If you have an import, you may want to take your car elsewhere.

Took the Jimmy in for a wheel alignment. Told them to do nothing more. Specifically told them not to touch the disconnected ABS sensor on the work order. They didnt listen.scanned the car and billed for it, they plugged in the sensor that was requested to be ignored. Instead of specifying that the wheel alignment would be useless since I have to get both upper and lower balljoints done they did it anyways. I was then rushed by 4 techs stating things like your U-joints are about to fall out. Theres MINOR slop at best. They also tried to say that the vehicle shouldnt be on the road, that they could hold it there and contact ICBC. Not impressed.since you're not a designated ICBC inspection facility. Nor do you have any legal right to keep property. The vehicle is kept up on, just had the rad, trans cooler, oil cooler and AC condenser replaced so its not about neglect. To me it seems theyre PUSHY for work since I had a mobile tech come out and try and verify their observations.

Our brake malfunction alarms went off as we were driving through Duncan BC. Up the road, we could see a Midas sign. We managed to drive there safely and they saw us immediately, despite the fact we had no appointment. The team in Duncan were wonderful! The waiting area was warm and clean, the team helpful and knowledgeable, the service excellent. The problem was diagnosed and we left Midas with a car safe to drive and peace of mind. Great service, fantastic team. Thank you Duncan Midas!

During the change of ownership we had a bad experience, the next visit appeared to be back to the old service level, but our last visit will likely be our last, lots of new staff, lots of upselling, I am looking for a new place to get our vehicles serviced.

I had unknown issue's with my vehicle. They took me in quickly and had my inspection done with in 24 hrs. I will definitely use them for repairs

This is the first poor review I have ever posted for anyone…but heads up. The only good points were good communication and they could get my car in that day
I had a loud exhaust. I was quoted 650 to replace the resonator. And recommendations to change oil, air filter flush brakes and power steering fluids, replace spark plugs and wires. $1600!
I think there is new ownership. I had this car in the same shop a few times this past year and none of these $$$ padded recommendations were ever suggested. They stressed it could all be completed today.
Told them to do nothing. They still charged me $40 for evaluating my exhaust. I let them know I had never been charged for an estimate before and was not pleased. Last money they will ever see from me.

Got it into another local owned small shop I like…under $300 for the exhaust and oil change! Nothing else recommended.
There are a lot of good honest shops around. It pays to get a second look.

I replaced all 4 tires on my car. Was given and good rate and the staff was exceptionally knowledgable friendly and professional.

I made an appointment for 1 PM I came in at 1245 they told me oh my guys just went for lunch it's probably gonna be 130 or later. Why make appointments you cant keep.

We dont have a machine to do tires at home, but we know about vehicles and how they work. Took my vehicle in for a flat repair.
It's appalling that they told me I need about $1000.00 in work done, to find out that those things have lots of life left, or just don't need to be done.
I will not be back, and we have stopped recommending people go there.

They fitted me right in their schedule in less than an hour notice and they even showed me in person what was wrong with my badly used car (went under the car with the mechanic). Honest advice and diagnosis, would do again.

They fixed a few issues with my car after a popular mechanic shop in the valley told me my car was "fine" and they couldn't find any problems. Right. It didn't start half the time, was lagging, the engine made noises, and I was going through gas quicker than usual. I feel like they didn't even properly look at it (after I left it there for most of the day.)

Fantastic place! Had to get a tire plugged on a tight schedule and they got it in and done with the midas touch in no time!

It was way too expensive, they over inflated all my tires by more than 20psi and I had to take them to another tire store to have them rebalanced

I went to Duncan Midas expecting about 1000 dollar brake job.estimate came back around 2800. No way I had the money for that.my brakes were a mess they did the job for just over 1000 all done. These guys were incredible. I'll go back for all repairs thanks

I called in about my muffler making noise, I said that I think it is a clamp. They told me to stop by in the afternoon and they would take a look and they also fixed it about 15 min was awesome.

This used to be the place I would highly recommend. Unfortunately recently it was sold and the new management is changing the way they do business. It started with our truck: maintenance was recommended that had been done by Midas fairly recently, we stopped in yesterday with a check engine light and the new guy on at the desk started upselling before he even looked at what the possible repair cost would be. This never used to happen. Very disappointed that a place that we brought our 4 vehicles for years is now just part of the mediocre upselling crowd.

We were so lucky to have Alex V.today! We were traveling from Victoria to Parksville and had car troubles once we hit Duncan. We have been customers at this Midas location for the past several years and they maintain all 4 our vehicles. The last quote I got from Nissan was $1000 for a repair and the replacement of the battery on our Nissan truck. I left Midas after paying $650 for the job. My son was in there last weekend and they noticed that something they had repaired previously was not correct: they fixed it at their expense.

Absolutely the best experience I've had at a mechanic shop. Price was great.the service was professional. My car drives like it's brand new. They went above and beyond to get the parts needed. Very knowledgable. Quick to find solutions and willing to apply them. I will be returning. It is a relief to find a trustworthy and reliable shop.

I enjoyed the experience, the people were kind and explained everything they were going to do. When I returned for my car, the mechanic took the time to explain what he had done and what he recommended for a future visit. Over and above for customer service. Such big smiles and so very courteous. I was quite comfortable leaving my car there. I could feel the difference in my car right away. You have my future car care needs in your hands. Was told my brake pads were worn down almost to the rivets and rotors also needed work. Several hundred dollars.
Turns out that this was false information and attempted fraud. I wonder if they were desperate to drum up some business because of the Pandemic crisis? Despicable! I am an Old Age Pensioner and a single working woman. Get a second opinion.

Hi, We were on a trip, staying at Shawnigan lake in Cowichan area and our Ford Van started to act up on us on a weekend. I reached us Midas and Richard, the manager and he handled the situation in a timely and professional way in the limited time with not appointment at a reasonable cost. Diffidently recommend due to great experience I had with them.

Wow,! I get to my appointment 45 min early for a funny exhaust sound, they take me right away and then 10 min later the manager RICHARD hands my keys and tells me all is AOK, minor problem, and no charge.thanks to all staff, and RICHARD,, BRAVO MIDAS. I will be back for sure,

I took my vehicle in to find out about a thumping sound. They told me I needed to replace my rotors, brake pads, and calibors since my calibors were sticking. They told me once I did this 1000 dollar repair then they could properly diagnois my car which would be atleast another couple hours of work. I got a second opionion, my calibors were not sticking my pads were more then good and the only thing slightly wrong with my rotors was the fact there was a slight amount of rust on them due to their lack of use! It turns out my transmission fluid was low and thats where the sound was coming from thank goddness I didnt waste 1000 dollars on things I didn t need.
