These guys are great, I took my car in and they gave me a quote. The work ended up taking way longer than they expected but they still honoured the original price. Very classy and wouldn’t hesitate to take my car here again!

I recently had an oil change at this Midas location and everything went well as normal. Then a couple days ago, my car was leaking some oil. It could have been a faulty part - I don't know. But after I reported it, Charleen called me and offered to make it right.

I really appreciate the level of customer service from Charleen and the other employees at this location! Will definitely be returning.

On my way to work, got a huge nail stuck in the tire. Went to multiple spots but was told I'll have to wait until the next day or Canadian tire suggesting that it'll be an entire tire change. Pulled up to Midas and Alen made sure my issue was resolved within a few hours. I can't emphasize how much I appreciate the service and them not low balling me. Charged me the cost of labor and patching the tire.

Alen was very friendly and knowledgeable about the services needed. The completed assessment was emailed and texted to me and still get an in-person explanation, in detail that you can understand. I will be bringing my other vehicle to this location. Thanks Alen and see you again.

The best service in Burnaby. I went there with a flat tire and the assistant manager, Mr. Alen, was extremely kind. They repaired the tire in record time. I was with my children and they even provided an extra chair to wait altogether. He was nice to every single customer that showed up. I highly recommend Midas and Mr. Alen!

I had an oil change in this Midas location in June 20,2023. The person who worked in the office had a terrible behavior. There was a huge pressure in his attitude which made him rude toward customer. He truly needs to learn how to deal with customers. Other than, writing this review, I also contacted Midas company to raise the issue. I have been a regular customer for this business for many years, but today I decided to get my car oil change somewhere else in the future.

I had previously had a good experience with this Midas shop, so I brought my car in today to have my Four Season Tires changed to Summer Tires. The service took 3.5 hours and cost me $169.30 including tax. However, after leaving the shop, my car was shaking and making strange noises. I stopped my car a block away from the shop and found that one of the wheels wasn't properly secured. Additionally, I noticed a number of scratches on both the wheels and body of my car, which I suspect were caused by the shop.

When I brought this to the attention of the Midas staff, they offered me a full refund on the service. While I appreciate their willingness to make things right, I was disappointed by the overall quality of the service and the damage done to my car. I ultimately accepted a 50% refund, as I believe that hard work should be fairly compensated.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this Midas shop to others. While their prices may seem reasonable, the potential costs of fixing damage to your vehicle may outweigh any perceived savings

Very poor customer service. I was late just for 10 minutes and they canceled my appointment.
Wasting my time and so unprofessional.

They are proud of doing tire rotation in their oil service which cost me like dealership, anyway, After 3 times since I made an appointment on phone till I checked out the car, I asked for this, and they said, Yes, we do and yes we have done!
But I had some signs on my tires and I realized they have not done the tire rotation, and I came back and they said, it didn't need to do that.
Now, I strongly doubt that they didn't the oil service, either!

Great staff and great experience. I usually go here to get all my services done. They take well care of my car. Alin and Alen is my go to people for the services. I just drop my car key and they know really what needs to be done and they take care it at the most care.

Alen, the assistant manager, was great to work with. Upon hearing of the urgency in which I needed my repairs done, he was able to get my vehicle fixed much faster than the usual turn around time. Other times I've been to this location have also been great. Their prices are reasonable and the staff communicate in both an effective and pleasant manner.

Had a really good experiences and recommend this location. I usually feel nervous about taking my car into maintenance places due to not knowing much about auto-motives/upselling tactics; however, everyone was friendly, helpful and never tried to pressure me into fix anything other than what I originally went in for. Very pleased and will continue to go back to this location!

Found out I had a leak in one of the tires from a nail. Alin the manager was super helpful and knowledgeable. Went through the worse case scenario with me with regard to the tire being unfixable due to the puncture proximity to the sidewall. Low and behold, when the tire is removed the inside of the carcass of the tire is already damaged to the point where it needs replacing.

Due to no fault of Midas', we cannot go ahead with replacing the tire for the time being. That being said, I will be back!

Alin's professionalism and welcoming services have won Midas a returning customer for years to come. Bravo.

Originally had a miscommunication with the staff about pricing on a service done on my vehicle, but the manager reached out to me swiftly to solve the issue and to make it right. It is clear this owner/manager cares about his business and his priority is the satisfaction of his customers. I had an appointment for changing the winter tires. The appointment was so quick and easy, it took only 30 min. Would definitely be coming back for next season.

My husband brings the car here for regular maintenance. He booked the wrong location online. It would have been a 2 hour wait. Manager said the Metro Town location was free. However my husband is used to dealing with a certain mechanic by the name of Aaron. Aaron has always treated him very well. Husband said no I'm sticking with this location. He rebooked.

I brought my wife’s car in for a new battery and alternator. Aaron (the Mgr) and his team had her car up and running very soon after dropping it off. When we brought it home, we discovered a problem with the original fix. However, Aaron fixed it in a very timely manner. Sadly, I’ve discovered another issuer with the fix but Aaron assured me that he’ll have that issue resolved as well and hopefully I won’t be charged. All-in-all, my neighbourhood Midas is well worth bringing your vehicle to.

Great auto service. Repaired my bearings in same day, having booked appointment just hours before. Saved my day, saved my weekend.

My dad's usually my trustworthy mechanic but doesn't live near me anymore, so I had to find someone else. I've always been nervous to take my car to other mechanics because of young females like myself being ripped off, etc.

First time I went in, they kindly explained the 3 grades of oil you can select for an oil change- and did not push me to get synthetic. This was my first 5 star experience, because other places have told me my car only takes synthetic oil (incorrect, I was being ripped off). They called me and told me about one other issue with the car, which I politely declined that they fix and no questions were asked.

Second time I went in for another 5 star experience, I explained that my alternator belt need to be tightened (as per my dad's diagnosis over the phone) which they fixed in a timely manner, and did not propose any additional work that needed to be done on the car.

Third time I went in, I had a very flat tire. Alen took my car in moments after I called, and fixed it within a half hour- taking into consideration that we had somewhere to be. We were so grateful. This was another 5 star experience, as a different time I had a flat tire, the mechanic told me the tire was not fixable and that I had to buy 4 new tires (incorrect, took it somewhere else and the tire was in fact fixable)

My advice is to take your car to Midas on Willingdon and you will have absolutely no regrets:)

I’ve gone to Midas a lot and each time they do a very good job on my car. While to be honest I don’t know much about cars and maintenance, they always seem to be reliable and honest.

Aaron especially at Midas on Willingdon in Burnaby. He’s always friendly and super helpful! Always has good attitude and talks in detail in person and on the phone regardless what questions you have which I really appreciate.

I’ve told my Dad now to use them as well!
When I last visited, they didn’t charge me for my tire fix as it was customer appreciate as their 1000th customer!

I will say though the one thing I was disappointed was they told me I needed to change my windshield as the wear on my old ones was less than 10% and once I did it’s always become squeaky when I used them and looked like it’s about to fall off.my fault for not going back to ask them to fix it I guess. The windshield seemed to use a cheaper version than what my car use to have.

They are ready to help when needed and start earlier than everyone else in the neighbourhood. They already helped me on short notice twice and got the repair done in no-time.

Honestly had the worst experience and will never go back. I made an appointment to get an oil change and it took two hours for it to be done and I had to wait around outside when it was cold. They took all of the wheels off of my car I'm assuming to check it out but I only wanted an oil change and I've never had them take off my tires for an oil change. They then start talking to me about what's wrong with my car and what needs replacing but my car is a newer vehicle and I just had it checked out and it was fine. I told him on the phone I just wanted an oil change and that's it.he was extremely extremely rude on the phone when I informed him I could take it to Kia and get whatever I need fixed there because I'm still paying it off. When I came to pick it up I walked into the office area and I had no idea if this guy was a customer or worker. Didn't say hi or anything and then finally asks if I'm there to pick up my car. It was a very unfriendly awkward experience to just pick up my car after a 2 hour oil change. I made an appointment specifically so I wouldn't have to wait but it honestly would have been faster to go to a drive up place. Only takes like 20 minutes and they are usually way nicer.

Got an oil change, no issues. Asked if they topped up tire pressure, which they said yes. Went outside to check my tires, and the first one I checked was way lower than it should've been. Went inside to let the gentleman at the desk know, his response "ok"

Booking my appointment online was a breeze, I just selected the 1-hour time block that worked for me! I arrived on-time and they had my tires changed in under 15-minutes. Communication was above & beyond and the price was totally fair and affordable! Would recommend Midas Willingdon to all!

Needed a tire repair so callled ahead and was told they could do it on the spot. When I arrived they began repairing it right away and were done and had it back on the car in 15-20mins. And when I went to pay they said I was the 1000th customer so job was free. Nice.

This is my first time at this particular location of Midas, but AS ALWAYS, exceptional, friendly and professional service with a friendly discount! Another woman ahead of me was not confident that the Manager/Owner was not upselling her Volvo's need for a specific type of oil and I (as a woman) confirmed that as a European vehicle, he was giving her the best deal around. I moved from Calgary and was looking for a nearby place to change my ride engine oil.i called, booked and discussed the Synthetic oil price with them including my car's info and etc.their price was 60-70$ including everything.when i left i was charged 110$ on my bill. Some impertinent reason was given for the oil change service. Although Their sign shows 39$ for a regular oil change but it may cost more if you walk in. So be careful at this merchant as they may up-sell and markup their service as their sale campaign states so.

Such amazing service! I called in because I heard a strange noise around my engine. They said I can come in right away and they checked it out. Gary and Aaron really made this experience as great as it was! They showed me the issues with my car and fixed it the following day. My car is doing just fine 1 month later! Highly recommend going here.

I have used the services of this auto repair shop a couple of times now, and each time I found them very professional and caring.

The guys at this shop are great! I came in with a problem that needed to be fix right away and they took care of it for no charge! The work had been done by someone else in Coquitlam that morning and by the time I realized a problem, I was already in Burnaby. I tried 2 other shops in the area, but they couldn't get me in until the next day. The boys at Midas looked at it within 10 minutes and 10 minutes after that i was one my way! Can't say enough about how great they were!

Fast and friendly service provided by Aaron and Oscar, but rather expensive. Front brakes and rotors cost me $680 after tax, and that's after a $50 discount was applied. It's $440 after tax at my other mechanic.

They've been an amazing service to deal with, keeping me up to date with any work being done, providing quality work at a reasonable cost. Also have very much appreciated their professional manner, everyone has been very friendly and super courteous, always trying to work with me the best they can. Which is why I will keep going back for their assistance if needed in the future. 5*

I had called in the day prior to get a quote to have my tire patched as there was a nail stuck in it and got a reasonable price quote plus they said they could repair it by 9am the following day. I dropped my car off the following day and went for a stroll around Whole Foods as it would take 30 min. When I returned the manager Aaron handed me my keys and said I was good to go! When I mentioned I hadn't paid yet, he said not to worry about it. During such a difficult time with all that is going on with Covid-19, I thought that was such a nice gesture and totally made my day! I will definitely bring my car in again for servicing! Such great customer service!

Overheating and coolant leaking issue brought to Midas.

Was charged $400 to fix the thermostat housing gasket and to remove and repair the thermostat.
Issue still occurred a few hours after driving, and booked another appointment the following week Saturday November 16,2019.
Was told that the car had a head gasket leak and they would charge me to fix it for $3000. They also told me coolant was mixing in with the oil.

They also told me that they tried fixing the thermostat to address the issue but did not know if it would fix the coolant leaking issue at all.

Brought to another mechanic and was told correct information on the car status. There was no head gasket leak, no coolant in the engine, no coolant mixing with the oil.

Please do not trust these guys, I have heard many horror stories from family and friends who go to Midas for simple oil changes or tire rotations.
They get charged or told "it will be a this price" but after the change or repairs they make you pay MORE than what they tell you.

Scam artists.

Summary:
Charged me $400 to fix something that was not broken. Brought the car back and didn't get a refund and was told the car was severely damaged and it would cost $3000 to fix.
Another mechanic said otherwise and fixed the overheating and coolant leak issue.

Oil change only by appointment. Also, these guys charge 60 dollars for check engine light. I just called Mr. Lube and they said come by and they will do oil change today and check engine light for free. Still, Midas gets some stars for the excellent smile and rather courteous professional staff that greeted me:)

Edit: another Midas worker informed me that code checkers come with different price tags and that Midas code checkers costs somewhere north of 5 digit dollars. As a customer, I find it hard to justify paying the hefty price just to diagnose problems. Most mechanics will diagnose the problem for free so that they can make the money on the parts and labour. That's just my opinion and I wish them well but I also think customers should not be charged for lack of knowledge so with this information, if customers still choose to use Midas, all powers to you.

Amazing customer service and so helpful, especially since I don’t know much about tires but they didn’t make me feel dumb which is a plus as a woman going to a car place.

I will definitely be going back and I’m recommending this location to all my family and friends. I wasn’t able to go in person for a few days because I was working so I was able to email them a picture of my tires for size so they could send me an estimate and order the tires. When I went to get them put on, I was waiting for less than 45 minutes. Overall a GREAT experience

I usually change my car's oil there. But last time I had some issue with my oil filter, it was deffected. These guys from Midas changed it for free and even added some oil which was leaked.
Next oil change will be made there as well.
