Best gelato on the coast. Great location in lower Gibsons.

Not a good experience at all! There was a long hair laying across the lemon gelato. You need to have your staff wear hair nets. Not cool serving gelato with hair hanging down. I did advise the server about the hair.

Excellent Gelato. Fabulous flavours. I heartily recommend the orange chocolate, better than a Terry's Chocolate Orange.

Went here for some gelato! Had mixed berry. They have plenty of dairy free options that were super tasty. Good service as well. With plenty of outdoor seating:) Would definitely go back.

Come here regularly for gelato. Never been disappointed. If it sounds good or looks good, then it probably is. Had the passion fruit and raspberry pomegranate scoops this time around. Went down easily. Staff were helpful and friendly. The store has other various items for you (eg: tylenol, baked goodies, soft drinks, energy drinks). We have ordered an ice cream many times and they have always been great. Highly recommend this place. Hope you enjoy it too.

This place has the best gelato I have ever had. And their sandwiches and baked goods are all excellent as well. Don't be fooled by the unusual apperance of the decor. Everything is made fresh in house.

Great little shop with an amazing selection, had the salted caramel and earl grey so yummy, and service was amazing.

So many flavors of Gelato. Some interesting one, mostly all super tasty. My kids love going here. Slowly working our way through every flavor this summer 2021!

Great selection. I have now tried every dairy free flavour currently available. Blood Orange and Raspberry Pomegranate were my favourites. Made a nice treat at the end of a long day if packing up house and cleaning. I never miss visiting here when I'm in Gibsons.

Fantastic oat meal raisin cookies and supreme sourdough.
Good ice cream, but too sweet for more than one scoop. There's no point in more than one flavour to begin with – the sugar does not let the flavours come through. The sourdough is AMAZING though. I'd sandwich the ice cream in the sourdough.

The gentleman sitting by the door certainly does not give you that feeling of Sunshine Coast welcome! Our server was pleasant; the ice cream was ok, definitely not a place we will rush back to while we are here on vacation!

Best sourdough bread I've ever tried! The Alpine flavor is truly something special. The gelato is great (duh) and I really like the older gentleman at the till (the owner?) We come here a few times a year and he's always friendly and engaging with my kid

The best ice cream in BC. The pumpkin pie flavour is splendid. For the price you pay, the amount you get is quite generous. If you’re ever on the Sunshine Coast you should definitely come by this place.

Like many recent reviews, my family found the service to be beyond unhappy and unfriendly to downright rude. One young server clearly saw the problem and tried to be nicer, which I appreciate, but the damage was done. Too many other options for better treats than to put up with gross treatment for a cup of cold cream.

Great, well priced sandwiches that don't skimp on quality. The gelato infused coffees are great as well.

If you’re ever in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast, pass this place by. Find another place to buy Gelato. The owner was the most rude and inconsiderate person I’ve ever met in my travels. Very dismissive and condescending

Try the lemon milkshake. Just trust me on this one. There's a heck of a lotta selection for your standard ice cream flavours (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry) but they have some pretty interesting other flavours! There was a kinder surprise ice cream, you can't tell me you don't wanna try that

This place is more of convenience store that happens to sell ice cream. The owners/staff seemed unhappy as no smiles or cheerful energy were given (ironic considering its an ice cream shop). The gelato was okay with many flavours to choose from. It does the trick on a hot summer day. However, we would not return as the service left a sour taste.

GIBSON BC Mike's place. We were over charged, after it was corrected, he/owner was so rude and inconsiderate. I told him we are adding our concerns on the review. He asked me to leave. UNPROFESSIONAL, NOT RECOMMENDED. Case study for bad manager.

Friendly staff. Bought bus tickets for the local city bus and bought an ice cream treat and coffee on my first visit. Second trip my family member I brought along; we stopped in for ice cream before heading back to the ferry terminal at the end of our trip.

Absolutely love this place, best gelato on the coast and the staff are super friendly. Can't recommend this place enough. The paninis in this place are top class as well, you've just got to try them yourself.

I came in here for a cup of coffee to wait for an appointment. I found it warm and friendly and the coffee was great. Big red leather couches meant I could have a semi snooze waiting for my date that never pitched.

Delicious convenience store with icecream! Go for the peanut butter chocolate flavour. Rich and amazing, you won't need more than one scoop

The best Icecream you can find on the coast and from my experience B. C. Perfect location and price is affordable. A plethora of flavors so will be overwhelming at first, but you can ask for small taste testers.

My favorite cappachino in town. I love the thick foam. And pairing a hot coffee drink with a scoop of Mike's Place's gelato is Legend. Wait for it.

Visiting Gibsons for the first time and Mike's Place came highly recommended by our friends. Known for the large variety of homemade gelato this establishment also sells sandwiches, coffee, small selection of groceries, desserts etc akin to convenience store. Comfortable vintage inside seating and an outside deck makes for a comfortable and fun place to enjoy gelato.

Huge selection of icecream and gelato. Good dairy-free options and pretty large portions for the price. It can get pretty hot in there on warm days and lots of people are lined up for icecream but if you decide what you want at a reasonable pace (can be difficult given the number of choices), the service is very quick so you won't be in there too long. Highly recommend on a hot day while walking Lower Gibsons.

We love this place! The gelato is divine, and they also have many other items you might need in a pinch, like milk or sunscreen. They also sell local tea (which you can order brewed) and my favourite is the straight up Earl Grey. Some of their flavours are truly unique, made with local tea, olive oil or beer. Totally worth the wait in the busy summer months.

I have loved coming here for the 3 scoop milkshakes and make the trip from secret cove to gibsons just to have this lovely treat. Today I was appalled at the service. I was in line with my husband whom was severed and then as his milkshake was being made other customers after us were served before me and I was skipped. I then thought oh well maybe they are making my husband's then coming back to me. Nope again this family was continued to be served by both CSRs. I had had enough and gave my husband money to pay. At the till he was told they were doing their best. Yes it was busy. Usually there a line for a reason and asking the new customers to wait would have been nice.
Hope the customers that got their cones are enjoying them. Now I'm off to Starbuck's.

Okay the gelato is good but the guy who is always at the front is so aggressive and rude towards customers. It genuinely shocks me every time. I know a friend of my mom's was just told to get out of the store for assuming that she paid for gelato before ordering. I've worked in customer service for three years and you know what the appropriate response is? "Oh actually you order the ice cream first before paying. " Another time a friend and I found money along the sidewalk outside of Leo's Tapas. We walked around and asked passerbys if they had lost any money, finally went into mikes because we know they do currency exchange and maybe had done an exchange of that amount; figured we could ask if they knew which way the person went. Probably had been in the shop for less than a minute before he was on the phone with police after my (black) friend wouldn't give the money to him when he demanded it. Like what was he gonna do with it? Doubt he was gonna go walk around in the cold looking for the person who may have lost it.luckily we did find the rightful owner. There's been a handful of other instances where he's just been super rude and unwelcoming. Does not create a good atmosphere. But like I said, the gelato is great so I guess there's that.

Such great gelato! They have TONS of flavors (seriously never seen so many) and they let me try several before choosing because they all looked incredible! Ended up with mixed berry as my flavor and loved it! Also the Rolo flavor was AWESOME!

Great gelato for sure. The servers were mostly friendly but need to relax a little to accomodate customers. When I asked for more milk blended into my smoothie (as it was too thick for the straw), I was told twice that I'd be charged for a larger cup. (Edited from 3 to 4 stars for a pleasant response)

Weird place. I come here to pic up my packages that get missed but it seems like a pretty popular spot.

The owner of this store is extremely rude and lacking in customer accountability. Basically I left this place confused that anyone would run a business like this, and that a business could even survive with such leadership. The staff were seemed stressed and angry and it reflected in the short manner in which they dealt with me and other customers. It seemed to be a trickle down effect as the owner was the angriest of them all. Some people shouldn't be in positions of leadership. I will never go here again, and would not recommend this place to anyone hoping to enjoy their time in Gibsons.

I would not recommend you go here for breakfast. I also would not recommend you go here if you are an adult that wants a kid's size portion.

First off, breakfast. Came here a couple weeks ago, five of us in total. We each ordered the breakfast. I guess they aren't really set up to serve more than one person at a time because each plate came to the table about 10-15 minutes apart. One plate, 10-15 minutes later, another plate, 10-15 minutes later, another one and so on. I could barely eat the food, it was weird to say the least. I've never seen a breakfast plate where EVERYTHING on the plate was the same colour. Eggs, toast, sausage, bacon. All a dystopian grey coloured food like substance. It was Weird with a capital W. Odd consistent flavour throughout.

So we came back last weekend because I thought that their gelato looked great. Six of us this time, to keep things moving, I ordered my cone, went and paid for all six of them while the rest of my troupe was ordering theirs, went outside and enjoyed the delicious gelato. It was really awesome.

My wife comes out without an ice cream, apparently if you want a smaller serving at a lower price, because it is smaller, you can't get it unless your'e a kid. "Sorry we don't sell kids cones to adults. " I can't and won't abide by a place that has that absurd of a policy. Maybe, we have a paraplegic kid waiting in the car for his kids sized cone and maybe it's frustrating to explain that "situation". Maybe someone has a health condition and shouldn't eat a full sized serving and doesn't want to go through the frustration of explaining. Maybe in both cases they don't want to feel like they're overcharged for something that is a bigger serving than they can or should eat.

Real not cool. Won't be back, won't recommend. By the way, the gelato was as good as the breakfast was bad. Let's leave it at that.

We made a random stop here for dessert after seeing the delicious looking gelato on the way to dinner. WOW. This is some of the best gelato I've ever had, and that's including several spots throughout Italy. It definitely caught me off-guard. The PB & chocolate flavour was sooo rich. The service was also extremely friendly and generous - will definitely be back!
