Milano Coffee CMX Valley

Great little coffee shop. Just happened to stumble upon it. The girls working were very friendly and went above and beyond. Thank you!

It is always a nice atmosphere to work on the computer and have a nice handcrafted hot or cold beverage.

Great spot for coffee, pastries, and food items. The interior is very aesthetic and there is ample seating. It’s a bit on the higher end in terms of cost but everything I got was absolutely delicious and worth the money. I highly recommend this cafe for a quick coffee or meal!

Loved this modern yet cosy coffee shop. Excellent coffee and stupendous variety of baked treats! Some sugar free options as well (which were amazing - peanut butter bar -:)
Staff were helpful and charming.
Peek-a- boo views out over the inlet across to mountains was a nice surprise. Liked it so much went back several times during my 4 day stay in Comox.

Milanos is hands-down my favourite local coffee shop. They make the BEST oat milk chai latte. YUM! They have a nice selection of gluten free food items which is such a treat. I love admiring the local artwork on the walls, talking with the friendly staff, and meeting friends for a cup.

Came in for a quick coffee before my flight. The Americano was delicious and the service was excellent. Will certainly return next time I'm in town.

First time in Comox and I was staying nearby this coffee shop. Got myself an ice americano and dang, that is GOOD! Very nice tasting coffee. Not bitter at all! If I’m ever in this neck of the wood, I’ll be back for the coffee!

Very good coffee with a great design in the foam and had a really good cookie. It's a comfortable inside and the staff is really nice.

Don't go here if you want black coffee. This is more of a specialty coffee drink shop. Their cup size (only one) for black coffee is way too small and too expensive (over $6 for two extra small black coffees). The wait was more than 10 minutes, but the coffee was delicious. Definitely not what I was expecting coming from a "coffee company".

Edit: the day we went, the barista said there was only 1 size cup available for drip coffee (takeout). But as the owner has stated in the response to this review, there are more sizes apparently.

Went here about a month ago, it’s a small, crowded, older building, no where to sit and the lattes were luke warm. Didn’t say anything but we won’t be back. Unimpressive, terrible atmosphere.

Great coffee, baked goods, and sandwiches. Really nice staff and cozy seating. The portions for drinks are pretty large (about a size larger than regular S/M/L). Would highly recommend!

Really cute atmosphere! While I was sitting in the cafe a few groups of locals came in the baristas knew them by name. The blended chocolate-coffee was really good.

Fabulous coffee shop. Wonderful staff! And so far the only place in the Valley I've found that offers Blume tea lattes. If you love flower essences try the Rose Blume London Fog. Highly recommended!

We ordered an oat latte and cappuccino, both coffees were exceptional, as well as the carrot cake! Would highly recommend.:)

I get coffee here on a regular basis. The staff are excellent as is the coffee and treats. Good quality and flavour.

Not too bad, though the cold drinks are a bit strong need more flavour. Baked goods are great and so it area outside.

I rated Milano 5 (statrs), because the fresh BC Roasted coffee that is preservatives free is nothing less than excellent.

A nice easy place to drop in for coffee. Eat in or take out. Regular coffee is pour over, so you need to be patient. Good quality. Good baking. Good parking.

Great espresso drinks! My favourite flat white in the Valley. Their cinnamon buns and snacks are also very good.

Delicious artisan coffee, healthy oat bars and snacks and really yummy paninis. If you're in a hurry however, go earlier than you planned.

My go to place for coffee beans. Tried both the high end gold reserve and miss range espresso beans. All 4 kinds were great.

I had a hot chocolate here, and I couldn’t believe how good it was. Just the right temperature, the pastry selection is great. I would gladly take the detour to Comox just to get a coffe or hot chocolate at Milano

Excellent coffee.
Updated, coffee lately is extremely variable; when the owner makes it it's a good dark roast espresso, but the coffee from the staff is extremely variable, some terribly bitter. My advice taste everyone's coffee and get rid of the people who can't critique their own coffee.

Pleasantly surprised to find a Milano over here in Comox. Beautiful west coast interior. Great baristas. And, of course, Milano's roasts - especially espresso - are very hard to beat. Excellent experience.

Tasty treats, honestly had higher expectations for the coffee. Certainly better than the "chain" competitors.
Courteous staff, clean and spacious. Also, top marks for conscientious Covid protocol.

Consistently good coffee! My favorite place to stop for a coffee when I'm traveling through. As a former barista I have very high standards too

“Wow, Absolutely magnificent. ” Those are the words I said when I sipped my creamy iced matcha. Everything about the drink itself made my day get a little bit better! Not just the drink was lovely, but the whole cafe. You could tell the place was neatly decorated. I loved the plants, the art and the little homey touches. The staff was absolutely lovely. Oh, and don’t get me started on the food and goodies, very yummy in da tummy. I was also very proud that they served vegan and vegetarian items. By the end of my visit I was touched. I knew I would never find such a welcoming and delightful place ever again.

Very good coffee and food store. I really wish they always have vegetarian sandwich options going on since I could not get any on my visit. Great location and outdoor seating.

Just dropped in while in town. Ordered 4 teas and asked for a couple of sandwiches. One of the ladies informed us that they had run out of sandwiches for the day. The other lady offered to make us up sandwiches if we weren't in a rush. Glad we weren't in a rush because they were soooo good! Thank you for the teas and sandwiches ladies! Will be back when we are in town:)

My friend suggested I order a flat white (similar to latter, but less milk and intense coffee taste) and I loved it. They take coffee seriously here. A nice atmosphere and amazing selection of pastry.

Friendly staff, cute clean building and of course great coffee. Parking can be a challenge when busy and for the small building that it is music can be a bit loud at times all those it is a softer genre they usually play. All in all a lovely place to sit and look at all the cool art they have for sale

Rude staff.i had heard so much about this place I had to go in and wished I hadn't. I ordered chau tea and got hot water with cinnamon. And the lady behind the counter only wanted to chat with the regulars and made us wait almost 10 mins while she chatted. Dont go there

Really cute place, great coffee and treats. Bought a bag of beans as a souvenir for the boyfriend! We've been back several times during our vacation in the valley.

Unpleasant baristas,
I changed my rating to one star because of your response to my review, you have accused me of giving a false review and/or having a bad day. Obviously you feel your baristas NEVER have a bad day so it must be your customers fault. FYI, I was not having a bad day, a very good one actually. You should open your eyes and realize your baristas are not perfect.

Beautiful setting and awesome atmosphere. Owners make you feel like gold everytime. Definitely a 5 star worthy cup of coffee

Staff is friendly. Coffee is very good. Breakfast sandwiches are very good as well. Great place for a quick bite before you start your day.

Nice cozy coffee shop, americano was smooth and delicious! They have seats on the lawn so if the day is nice you will enjoy it. PS they have Nanimos peanut butter bars!

Still disappointed they don't have any single origin light roasts on drip. Only medium and dark blends.
Their espresso drinks are nice though.
