It is a hidden gem. Their food, portions, and service are unbelievable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I have a big problem here because I like so many of the menu items I can never decide the service is also probably the best in town.

I recently dined at Minerva's restaurant in Vancouver, BC, and it was an exceptional experience. The ambiance was delightful, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The menu showcased a diverse range of delectable dishes, each prepared with precision and flavor.

I did try every dish at our family table and I have to say each and every one was absolutely delicious.

The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who enhanced the overall dining experience. I was impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the culinary skills displayed in every dish.

They messed up my on line.order. They couldnt care less about fixing the issue. I asked for the manager to call me back but he never did. Learn what customer service is as you have a lot of competition in the area. Wont be ordering.again.

Soooo…. Rumour has it that this place is one of Ryan Reynolds’s faves in Vancouver. It is located in sleepy Kerrisdale- and kind of like the only nightlife of the neighborhood. You can have a full sit down dinner in the restaurant portion, or have drinks and food at the adjacent bar area “Baru”. I would recommend the Santa Cruz mule as a cocktail and some of their traditional Greek fare- if they have it! They were out of a Greek appetizer, and the server was very matter of fact, when we were disappointed, telling us “I’m not Greek”- well, with all due respect, the name of the restaurant is fairly suggestive of Greek food. And Ryan Reynolds has been quoted about his love for this Greek restaurant! I found the server to be grumpy and rude. The atmosphere is nice, and for the very quiet neighborhood- a good addition- and there is option to sit outside, weather permitting. The food is ok (the cocktail was the highlight), but I am not rushing back…. Sorry Ryan! Nothing special.

Went because Ryan Reynolds recommended the place. Great good, tons of flavor. Wait staff and ambiance could use an update. I'm guessing Ryan usually does takeout.

We finally got to visit Ryan Reynolds' favorite restaurant in Vancouver. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the menu had a wide range of options to choose from. As a pasta lover, I couldn't resist ordering the Seafood Linguine, and it didn't disappoint. The Roast Lamb Shoulder was another standout dish - it was cooked to perfection and the accompanying side dishes complemented it well. We also tried their gourmet pizza and chose a mix of "The Meat-Tastic" and "House Pesto with Sun dried tomato and roast chicken", and the lasagna, which was rich and hearty. The calamari was also a hit!

Love the vibe, the service, and the ingredients.

Ok, this is a Vancouver gem. It jas been around for decades and still retains its place amongst the top in Greek dining in Vancouver.

The lamb was perfectly cooked, crisp, juicy, smoky, and perfectly seasoned.
Calamari was lovely, tender, and tasty.
The potatoes were delicious, lemony with a good dash of garlic but not so much it is overpowering.
Tasty rice and gorgeous Greek salad.
Great local wine selection. I love that

I will most definitely be returning, with a party in tow.

Really disappointing experience. Ordered food for delivery with them, and was called three times to say they didn't have what I ordered. Then waited for THREE hours for them to prepare the amended order and suddenly they cancelled it. No explanation.

Very poor customer service to not reach out to me and say there was an issue with the order. They didn't even call to let me know that I wouldn't be receiving my food.

Been going here for years with family and it's just the best spot. The owner is the nicest guy and the food has never disappointed.

I had to cancel my reservation because some of the people that I was going to the restaurant with ended up getting into a car accident 30mins before our reservation, and when I canceled the reservation I was treated very rudely by telling me I am not welcome to the restaurant anymore and hung up the phone.

Fantastic food, family atmosphere, and good house wine. All you need for a date night with your husband

The hours of operation are just in the evening and still this place is always full. Very good vibe on the bar area and in the lounge. Cozy n warm because of beautiful people serving you with a broad smile. Thank you Monika
The whole menu is a good mix of Greek n Italian dishes. Prices are economical looking at the quantity n quality of food you get. Salads were so fresh so juicy and delicious at the same time. Best lamb shank I have ever had. Plate had more meat then rice which I loved about the serving. I had to pack for next day n equally enjoyed every bite.
Vegetarians can get vegetarian Slovakia plate which has too yummy grilled veggies with potato.
I will definitely go again to check out some more delicious recipes

Great hearty take-out from a very friendly family run neighborhood restaurant. Properly tasty souvlaki and the Caesar salad is top draw. Generous and very tasty.

I attended my girlfriends work dinner so there was 10 of us. Few of us had kalamari appy which was delicious! Tiger prawn souvlaki it was goood! I had the pizza was crispier then I liked but overall ok! Good quality jams a good pizza. Server was good she handled it well.

Been eating at Minerva’s my whole 20 years of life. This place is home. Full of memories. Food never disappoints and they will make it just the way you like it. Everything is delicious. Service is fabulous. Everyone is so kind. Such a welcoming environment. Perfect for children, elderly and wheelchair + walker users. Always my top place when asked where I want to go for a special meal. Highly recommend.

We had the veg lasagna and Fettuccine Alfredo, latter was the best I’ve had in a long time! Great service too.
I just wish they had more veg items in their Greek section.

Ryan Reynolds favorite restaurant in Vancouver! It's interesting. The Greek food is average but their pizza and pastas are truly amazing. The place is always busy but it does have a very good family atmosphere to it. Make sure to make a reservation if you go there.

A Greek friend recommended Minerva’s for pizza when I moved into the neighbourhood, and now we don’t order from anywhere else. Fast delivery through their own website, always fresh, flavourful, and tons of toppings. The dine-in experience is also really nice, with friendly servers and delicious mains (we love the lamb shoulder). Definitely worth a visit!

Great food and service! Classic Greek dishes, won’t disappoint. The also have a nice outdoor patio area set up great for the warm summer evenings.

We were there on a crowded Friday evening for dinner. All the tables were taken. So, I would suggest taking a reservation if anyone looking to go around that time of the day.

Service was excellent as the waitress explained the menu in detail and also shared her recommendations. That made it easy for us first-timers to place our order.

Food - from salad to pita to souvlaki to pasta were all great. You could tell from the flavors that fresh ingredients were used. We walked away in the end, leaving empty plates and happy smiles.

I really don't know what all the fuss is about. Maybe because Ryan Reynolds likes it. But I was not that impressed. The food was ok. Not a huge amount for the price. We got our food and that was the last time we saw the waiter. I had to get up and grab salt and pepper off a station. No refills of water. Plus you are asked to leave after a certain amount of time so they can get as many people into the restaurant as possible. I have had better Greek food! And better service!

Upscale greek but worth the price. Hummus is awesome (love garlic?) Chicken Souvlaki and Prawn Souvlaki are generous portions. Very old school service and very clean operation. We love it here when we can get out here!

We went by the restaurant on Tuesday with no reservation thinking should be fine. But the place was packed! They were about to accommodate with minimal wait. Food was fresh, home cook flavor and drinks were delicious. Would definitely go back

The guy who is always the one who picks up the phone is super rude. No customer service at all and I order here at least once a month, the same guy that picks up everytime. He needs to learn to be more polite, if not then get out from a customer service job!

We got to this place at 550 pm on Saturday March 19,2022. The hostess told us maybe 30 minutes for a table. We walk around for 30 minutes come back, is a table ready? No. How long? "I don't know, we'll call you. " 1.5 hours later we call back, no idea what i'm talking about. She told us to come back 30 minutes later apparently. Do yourself a favour and don't go to this place unless you've been there before and know how to get a table. Apparently anyone else is not welcome.

Great food, one of the very few legitimate delicious places I have ever been to in Vancouver. Love the atmosphere and service.

We had chicken soup to start.
My wife had the vegetarian baked lasagna and I had the chicken breast Souvlaki. The food was great!
We had the caramel parfait for desert and a cup of tea.

We were lied to on the phone that there will only be a short wait to get in for dinner except when we got there, it was a disaster area with a line up of people waiting for take out. Then there is another line up at the side of their bar for people who had actually registered their names somewhere. But where? We gave up and vowed never to return until this gong show becomes a customers-friendly, organized and considerate place.

So I'm waiting for my pick up and was informed that my pizza was made wrongly. Maria my server said they would by me a beer, make a new pizza and I could take both home. Basically offered every solution after I said none of that is neccessary apart from the beer. While I was having that beer they made me a whole new order. Such a great place. Everyone works hard there. Visit at least once and before you realize this will become your favorite spot.

The food never disappoints and any dining-in experiences I've had have always been fantastic!

I would love to give 5 stars, but my inability to make a payment at the door with a debit card means 4 stars.

Realizing this may be petty, I don't have a credit card - and before the onslaught of Covid payment at the door with a debit card was accepted.

Now it's cash at the door or a credit card over the phone.

This inability to pay at the door with debit will, sadly, be a determining factor in future.

We will be back! For sure! Food was extra delicious and savory - the best roast lamb, the best calamari and very good service despite the large crowd! Worth all the great reviews!

Lovely dinner with friends. Lasagna was saucy. Felt very safe with COVID protocols being followed.

My husband and I go every holiday and the food never disappoints. The flavors are amazing, the service with a smile, and the atmosphere cozy. We just had a special c pizza with spinach, feta, and garlic which is so good we get it at least once a month. My alfredo was unbelievably good they out did themselves with it today. My husband had the roast lamb which he won't order any other place as he feels they don't get it right but they do here. Our dessert was made my chefs Bitu and was amazing. It was a wonderful way to bring in our new year!

Great food, atmosphere and excellent service. Huge portions. The lamb dinner was delicious. Strawberry shortcake fed the whole table.

Wowie! If you are looking for some 'dayum' good food, come here. The mushroom ravioli was the perfect amount of deliciousness. Then, when I thought I couldn't be happier, we were served complimentary garlic bread. Stop it you. We were so happy, we ordered the sticky toffee pudding and let me tell you. I started believing in Jesus a little. Also shoutout to our server who was new - you were divine.

While the food is edible. It doesn't seem that the kitchen staff are aware of seasoning. The Tzaziki lacks depth. Like it has no spices in it. While everything is cooked very well. I just cant get any good traditional flavoring.

I love their pizzas and would give 5stars for it. Unfortunately lasagna was a disappointment and not wort a star. I wouldn't call it lasagna it was just pasta with some meat sauce. If i got it dining in i would have returned it. Unfortunately i got it for take away and just got to trow it away.

$24 for souvlaki and you only get a single skewer.extremely pricey for the amount of food you get and it isn't exactly Michelin quality.

Decent Italian food experience. It sure is expensive but the service combined with the food makes it worth a try. The atmosphere felt a bit crowded and noisy though, and certain dishes were a little bland

Really bad! So disappointing?
I used to come here 16 years ago and the food was much better, now it taste like frozen lean cuisine. The only good thing they served was the garlic bread.

The BEST Greek food in Vancouver and maybe even the lower mainland. The roast lamb here is an absolute must. The lasagna is decadent. And the Minerva Special pizza is one of the best around. I've also eaten in for years and the service is fantastic. Totally recommend.

Have lived in Kerrisdale for a while but only discovered Minerva’s recently, the meat is amazing quality and cooked really well and the pizzas are fantastic too with lots and lots of toppings!

While Minerva’s portions are quite large (enough for two people almost!), the quality of the food was not as impressive. We ordered Beef Ribs, Calamari Meal, Lamb Shoulder, and Mousaka. The beef ribs were tender and flavorful, but the rest tested quite bland, especially the land shoulder.

The steak and ribs were the best to full for dessert topped by good service cant wait to go back

We found Minerva in an scavenger night near Oakridge neighborhood. Now that we experienced it, I have to say you should come by to try it. The fact is if you ask a Vancouverite where to get the best Greek food, they might tell you Stepho's. Though in my opinion, Minerva is cozier, less lineup to get a table, quick kitchen, better service, and tastier food. Try and tell me why you think.

Our second time at fine dining since COVID-19, the staff here did a really good job of keeping masks on, properly respecting social distancing, and doing a great job generally. Happy to support this local business during these challenging times. Kudos to our server Ted. Thanks!

Two my friends gets sick eating there. Owner is also very rude and they don't keep their kitchen clean. Walk in to their kitchen next time you are there and you will see what I mean. Expensive food too

The food was really delicious and the service was decent. There was one lady who gave some attitude and when we got takeouts, they didn’t give us forks? However, the pasta and lasagna were definitely incredible!

Beautiful spot in Kerrisdale. Casual setting, food is delicious and our waitress was amazing! The food was a little pricey for what was offered but all in all a great experience. If you are craving Greek food and are in the vicinity, check Minerva out!

I can’t stop coming back here.
Tzatziki sauce is fresh and delicious. Haven’t eaten tzatziki sauce this good before.
Lamb shoulder is juicy and tender, literally perfect. Can’t get enough of the lemon potato or rice.
Chocolate cake is quite unique and the frosting tastes a bit like cream cheese mixed in with the chocolate. Love it.
I’ve ordered take out at least 3 times now and every time has been consistently quality stuff! Very nice staff as well! Really convenient that you can buy takeout liquor too.

I absolutely love the food here. I've been here a few times and every dish I've had is hearty and delicious! I'm particularly partial to the tortellini and the baked potato. The ribs are very tender. Calamari is crispy. Can't go wrong!

Nice food. A bit costly. Desert menu is average. Lamb chops are really good except a bit on the salty side. Garlic prawn is delicious.

Food is always great. Service is usually fine here. Sometimes I get the impression that the server wants me to order more food. Anyway, I think this is one of the better restaurants in kerrisdale if you can afford the higher prices.

This is one of our favourite local Kerrisdale restaurants. The Friday seafood chowder is a reliable soup. It is very popular and only available on Fridays. For those who enjoy roast beef, it is also usually available on Fridays. Our staple favourites are the half barbecue chicken and BIG beef ribs. Each is served with a side of soup or salad and potato or pasta. If you like garlic, their Caesar salad is one of the best. We always upgrade for $3.00 to the baked lasagna served in the pan in which it was baked. Be prepared to take home half your meal! Otherwise, share the meal with your partner. We sometimes each order a soup first. The pizza is also very popular. Room for dessert? Try the cheesecake.

We keep coming back to this traditional Greek restaurant over and over again. The portions are ample and the prices are moderate. Service is excellent and very attentive. The location is well suited in a relatively busy part of the neighbourhood but this just adds to the charm. The space is well lit and friendly with lots of room. It certainly is family and kid friendly. Although it is licensed, there is a related bar next-door if you don’t want to have a full sitdown meal. The stewed lamb shank is a popular dish and my favorite. We have never been let down by this place.

Extremely good food, the pizzas, the pastas, rich and tasty.friendly family staff, always feel welcome and well attended to. Sad we don't make it out that way very often anymore.

I ordered Calamari as a meal. It came with rice, a potato and Greek salad. The portions were large and the calamari was tender and delicious. I would go for supper again for sure. Price was reasonable too.

Minerva's, what happened? You used to be so good. Our ham and pineapple contained little of both. And the mozzeralla was more of a cheese product rather than the actual thing. Giving this a solid meh.

Old fashion family run restaurant flavor. Greasy and lots of food. Seafood chowder tasted stale and most food is overcooked.

Very very delicious food and super super nice staffs. I don't prefer thin crust pizzas until I tried this one.
