Mini Japan

RUN AWAY, Go to Ginza. It tasted bleh. Some of the worst sushi I've had. Service is so bad. The waitress was so inattentive.

They are really careful with Gluten/wheat allergies and the sashimi was so fresh. It was excellent.

The food is great the cooking staff and servers are very good at what they do, the only issue I have is the furniture the booths had a feeling of some privacy and gave comfort, I just found the tables short, it gets cold in the winter since the brick bleeds heat out and I miss the dividers.

Barn dance threw me through the wringer. Woke up feeling unwell. Got in the wagon and moseyed over to Mini Japan to slurp back some ramen and get the life juices flowing again. Waitress brought out a unit of a bowl full of noodles and sweet sweet broth. There isn’t a straw big enough on this earth, for me to suck back that delicious soup with. 373992995/10 recommend every soup these people have, if you, like me, are feeling a little under the weather. Can’t wait to go back, and shovel some sushi down my gullet.

Was not very enthusiastic about the food here, not the best sushi I've eaten but far from the absolute worst. Waitress was quick and friendly.

Have eaten here before and get takeout regularly. It is always good but tonight it was exceptional. Especially the sashimi.

2022 Winter. This was my spot until it had to do renovation in last Jan early Feb. So good! Paradise roll and rainbow roll so good. I miss this place.

Great sushi to be had at this establishment. Take out or dine in, it is a great place to stop for some rolls and sashimi. The Takeout containers were organized very well.

This place is so friendly. It’s really hard to get ramen outside of the lower mainland and the ramen is SO TASTY!

We had such a beautiful and delicious meal here. They accommodated a dish for my toddler. We will definitely be going back. Only thing I would say is the service was a touch slow, but it was only her 3rd day so I hope she learns the ropes quick!

Friendly staff, clean pleasant atmosphere, large portions and absolutely delicious. Never expected to find quality sushi so far north/ inland. REALLY impressed!

Moved to Quesnel from Vancouver and was not expecting that much. But Mini Japan SLAPS! 10/10 would recommend the food!

Portions are great, food is amazing, and prices are definitely affordable! Dine in or if the weather's great, take out! You can literally walk across the street and have a picnic by the river. Don't skip out on the special rolls, they are the.com.

Rather disappointed with my order here. I ordered for my family. Asked for no wasabi on their orders they ignored that. Asked for no tails on the rolls they ignored that. The eel was very gristly. The beef teriyaki was fairly plain with super sweet sauce. They didn't include any napkins or chop sticks nor tell us they didn't include them. First and probably last time I'll order here.

For sushi in a small town it by far surpasses my standards for food in Quesnel. Amazing prices and great service! Food is usually out of the kitchen in 7 minutes which is AMAZING! Last time we visited we were given a plate of tempura on the house for our large order. Would give extra stars if I could. By far the best place for sushi in Quesnel. Also love the staff here!

Very friendly, clean place and delicious food it’s worth every penny you pay and take note you are able to request any food you request and chef Jun will try his best to accommodate your request as long you let him know in advance.

The Lunch Box A is my go to. Never disappointed and I always leave full and very happy! Service is great and staff is very friendly. If your going to eat sushi in Quesnel, Mini Japan is the best!

Beautiful place. Still up and servin during this whole corona thing. I was waiting in my truck for it and they brought it out to me along with a couple bottles of water. Definitely going come back here again. Amazing sushi and very welcoming environment.

Literally the best sushi My fiance and I have ever had in all our travels. The tofu was so good it was practically a dessert. Literally cheaper than most other places we have been to and tops them all in taste and size.

Absolutely amazing. Great service, great food and very reasonable pricing. We are from the okanagan, but highly recommend if you looking for great food and more.

One of the best sushi places you'll ever go to! I honestly wasn't expecting something as good up here in the North. The food is fantastic and the staff are awesome. A must try, you wont regret it!

This restaurant is fantastic. The food is delicious, super fresh, and beautifully made. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are friendly.
I had dinner box B which comes with miso soup, sunomono salad, gyoza, tempura, California roll, salad, and sashimi. Everything was absolutely delightful.

Alaska Roll and Volcano Roll are great. The double drahon roll is awesome. My favourite is the monkey brain (no not real brain:) Saporo beer served here too that i enjoy. Nice place to sit down or take out.

First time i tried Mini Japan about a year ago it was pretty good, slow but good food.

I ordered food tonight and well I'm not impressed at all. All of the food was cold, i didn't get one of the items i ordered but instead got three salads (without dressing of course,) the rice was a hard clump and the beef teriyaki was mostly water.
And the dynamite rolls were oddly warm.warm dynamite rolls are not good.

Sushi was fresh and delicious. We ordered so much food they gave us a dish on the house. Would definitely go back.

If I could give negative stars I would. A friend and I came here last night. My friend asked if they had any juice and they offered her expired juice and said “it’s okay for you to drink but not okay for babies” and after she ordered sushi, she couldn’t eat it because the sushi didn’t taste good because it was sour meaning it was old/bad and the lady told her that it was just her (she eats sushi enough to know it’s not suppose to be sour). Long story short we aren’t allowed to go back because she said her sushi was sour. Highly recommend you DO NOT go to the place. Safe yourself the awful customer service and go to Ginza up the hill and if they’re closed, just wait the extra day. You won’t regret it because they’re better then this place
