Nice urban park to relax and hang out in. Lots of wildlife that the kids will enjoy. Be aware of the wild and roving Karens that will approach and yell at you should you even look like you are feeding the wild life. Please do not approach or engage with the Karens as this would constitute an offence under Section 33.1 of the B. C Wildlife Act [A person must not provide, leave or place an attractant in, on or about any land or premises with the intent of attracting dangerous wildlife. ].

Just went to Minoru park for the first time in a year — there were TONS of rats scurrying across the grassy patch between the soccer turf field and the discus throw. There were also a bunch by the actual pond. There are also tons of wild rabbits which the city isn't doing anything to control. Not very happy that they're doing the pilot project on banning city use of pesticides!

DO NOT COME TO RICHMOND AND FEED THE ANIMALS IT IS ILLEGAL! You are causing a major rat population for those who live here go to your own neighbourhood park

Excellent park tarnished by a terrible date.
Will deffinitely be back to admire the willows, see the rabbits, and destroy any association I have of that guy with this lovely place

Always a park that makes me feel very welcomed and chastised that I don't play sports often haha! A great spot nonetheless

An iconic location in richmond. Give it a visit if you get the chance! It's a great chance to connect with nature and relax, and it's right in the middle of the city

My Uncle Yaz was one of the City gardeners who made and maintained Minoru park pond as beautiful as it is. Whenever I get a chance, I go to the pond.

This park is located in Richmond.
Has a baseball court plus running and walking around the place. It is very popular with the locals.

Facts: 99% Chinese folks. Feel like home. At my home, where I come from, most people dont follow rules n orders n are uncourteous. At the track, i think it's important to educate the folks of track etiquette.

Great park and now that it's renovated, it's more functional with big fields and different areas for activities. There's also a garden that's attached for a nice view as well.

The track is fantastic quality - sturdy but soft on the knees, well marked, and well-lit. The field is artificial turf. There are soccer nets on either side of the field.

The track is open 24hrs and is the only overnight lit track I've found in the lower mainland. The main lights turn off around 11: 00-12: 00pm but there is enough ambient light in the area to safely run/sprint on the track. I've worked out here at 3: 00am with no difficulty. There are bleachers beside the track with concrete foundation which is good for running up and down.

Warning: the track freezes in certain places - primarily lane 1-2 on the southeast side. The frost is usually visible but don't run in lane 1 or 2 in really cold weather. I've ran on the track in 2020-early 2021 coldest days without a problem, but take extra care.

There are sand pits but they're covered. I'm not sure if they're available for training in the summer. The track is also right beside the gym/indoor pool of you'd like to go there.

As a side note, there are dozens of rabbits of multiple colours in the area. They're friendly and stay put when you're running so your don't have to worry about them darting in front of you. There are some benches under trees and small walking paths for people to sit and look at the rabbits.

Beautiful Spring walk among the fresh scent and beauty of new blossoming flowers and cute bunny + bird families. 4 as walk was short but 5/5 for scenic + amenities (bathrooms + playpark + fields for picnics/ family sports etc).

Hard to believe the pond area is completely artificial. However it's well designed, and the ideal place for a nice gentle walk around.

It's always great. Going to Minoru has helped me get through some of the toughest times in my life due to the fresh air. The only down side is that people need to be careful when parking.

Beautifull but needs to be cleaned up a little. There was a shopping cart in the pond and its been there for a while.

Oasis in the center of the city. Can find peace & quiet there and it's also a great place to work out and watch the activities with all the nearby amenities, like the library, pool, activity centre, track & library.

This park has lots to offer. There is a pond, a trail around it, some turf fields, a running oval, a large green space, a grandstand, and baseball diamond. Nearby there is an ice rink, pool, library, seniors centre, art gallery, and exercise circuit. You can access by foot from Westminster highway, Minoru road, Gilbert road, and Granville Avenue. By car from Minoru, Granville, or Gilbert.

It's an awesome place but the parking limit of three hours is a bit of a pain if you're playing cricket or other sports where you spend more than three hours on the field.

Love it, walk through the park a few times a week with my toddler. Plenty of interesting things for her to look at.

On our first trip to Vancouver, my wife and I discovered this park, thanks to a Travel Advisor list. We were so enthralled with everything we saw there, we visited 2 days in a row!
So. Many. Bunnies.
So. Many. Ducks.
I loved the plants and trees in the park and the squirrels in this area are a different variety than the grey squirrels we see in Sacramento.
There's a lawn bowling court, so be sure to bring your equipment! The park is next to a municipal sports field, I believe.

Beautiful place to go to, tho the parking around here isn't free. You'll frequently see people talking their wedding photos here, largely because of the chapel, which also hosts weddings. Look out for the bunnies, they're often seen scurrying around here. The flowers and park is well maintained here.

Great park in the heart of Richmond. Has a pond and small waterfall. Lots of rabbits and squirrels. Beautiful flowers and greenery.
26 July 2019 10:00
Nice little park in city centre. Together with the adjacent sports fields, play ground, and other green space, it covers more than half of a large city block. With ponds, exotic plants, and some wildlife, it is a nice local environment worth spending time to have a stroll or sit. Very popular.
22 July 2019 6:33
Peaceful, diverse and very well kept. Tried petting the wild bunnies but it was hard to do without bringing carrots: p very enjoyable place to do a few laps and enjoy an evening
27 June 2019 20:40
Most amazing park ever. All the bunnies and squirrels literally run up to you! Beautiful ponds, trees and scenery.
23 June 2019 16:17
Well maintained park with a lake area to walk around and the track part. Very stroller friendly paths. Lots of areas to sit. Would recommend for a casual stroll. There is also the librarg and community center there for more activities.
18 June 2019 21:27
This is a beautiful park with many different plants, trees, and flowers. Lots of animals can be seen here.
28 May 2019 8:19
Has a great track to run on which is especially nice to run on at night! At night they keep the lights on until about 11 or 10 o'clock, so you can run in the cool breeze and observe the cute little wild rabbits that are hopping around the area. The park also has a good playground for kids and has large soccer fields and lots of room for people to practice track and field. Also when you are running you can take a look at the new pool and community area that is being built right beside the track!

Nice to see the upgrades to this park creating pretty much an all-weather park for soccer football baseball cricket and many other track and field sports.
21 April 2019 12:24
Like the place, can find parking, lots of activities, good for family with kids. Beautiful park, walking paths, playground and sports facilities.
18 April 2019 14:50
I didn't spend much time at this park, but it certainly seems like a well-maintained municipal park. There were a lot of sports facilities, including several tennis courts (part of the tennis club, but available for public use), several fields (some grass, some turf), and possibly even an arena of some sort. Minoru Chapel is a popular place for weddings, and there is a very impressive looking fire station at the southwest corner.

Pro tip, there is free 3 hour parking available at the tennis club, and the south end of the park. If you need to visit Richmond hospital, these parking lots are only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hospital.
13 April 2019 19:17
Beautiful park nestled behind Richmond Hospital. It's a quiet escape from the busyness at RC Mall. You'll find ducks and weeping willows walking along its path.
04 April 2019 12:02
Minoru Park, the heart of Richmond city, a harmonious coexistence environment between people and nature.
It is a very quiet park, located in the centre of Richmond health care area, including Richmond Hospital and Minoru Residence, and many other clinics, Labs and offices. It is also a beautiful park, where you can find elegance gardens along with peaceful lakes, old trees and so many kinds of animals in the park.
On March 25th 2019, just before Easter, you could find the bunnies already starting their energetic breeding.
Spring definitely is right here.
