Great place for a long walk near the shopping core. Our dogs love it there too! You can run arrends at nearby malls after, all in one trip.

Good place to hike in hot days. There is no cameras, so, stay on the road to be safe. Please, be friendly to the environment and respect others hike. Take the full trip, it's long, but not everywhere same. Check it out.

My son's & I visit the mission Creek park often. It's always well maintained, clean & feels very safe. The bridges are beautiful & you can be sure to see wild life of some sort along your hike

This park has become a wonderful meeting place. It is an interesting place to discover Nature. Wide open spaces, pathwalking or cycling, great playground for the kids & science too!

Our dog loves the turtle pond (she's not really sure what to make of the turtles, but there are a lot of ducks for her to salivate over), and is obsessed with the marmots along the shore of the creek. There are a lot of places she can nip into the water, so it's a great place for a decent length walk on those 40 degree days!
It's a great park for us humans, too, with the aforementioned turtle pond, a kids' fishing pond and play structure, and lots of beautiful pathways. There's plenty of places that you can find some shade (assuming the sun isn't at it's zenith), and there are even some nice views if you explore a little.

The park is wonderful. It's usually quite busy, but taking the trails behind it is always enjoyable. If you have kids, take the trails up to the title pond to give them a fascinating memory of painted turtles. The crowd drawn here is usually friendly young parents and their kids, while the walking trails draw people of all ages. It's quite close to the farmers market too, so you can make a day of your visit! Come at the right times of the year and see the salmon spawn too!

Brought a picnic lunch to the park and afterward we walked to the turtle pond. We were fortunate to see some sunbathing, and a large turtle swimming. The walk to the pond isn't difficult, but there is a long flight of stairs up to the trail, which slowed us down a bit.to a turtle's pace! This is a very nice park and we'll definitely go back!

As the name implies, Mission Creek is the centerpiece of this park with the ability to walk along its banks from near the mouth up into Gallagher's Canyon and beyond if one is daring. And while the possibility of running into bears and other wildlife is slim nearer to the lake, once you trek upstream from the main parking lot on Springfield Rd, be very bear aware as it is not uncommon to run into these omnivores. And while it is generally a non-issue, as Spring comes into full force it is possible to meet a mama bear and cubs; stay clear as much as possible.

Back to the park. Features other than the Creek include:
1) a wheel chair accessible playground structure
2) a children's fishing pond
3) an Eco-centre
4) a covered picnic area
5) two pedestrian bridges that cross the creek.also numerous road bridges cross downstream and one crossing upstream. After Hollywood Rd S, there are no more crossings.

A pleasant amble, anytime of the year.

Note: my sons like to river surf during Spring runoff. Not only is this dangerous and can lead to death it is also illegal. But try telling that to young men who have not fully developed their prefrontal cortex.

4 stars.

Catch me here on a sunny day blasting my tunes and zooming down the trails. One of the best places to ride in the city limits and it can take you well beyond them if you're down to ride for the day.

Little gem of an area. Head to the turtle pond for dozens of turtles, and keep an eye out for black bears foraging on berries. The riverside walkways are beautiful.

Nice park for kids of all ages.
If you want to come for a bike ride there is decent trails along the creek as well.

Nice park with decent swings for kids ranging from the age of 3 years to 12 years. There is a flat walking trail there that is really good and can be rated as a beginner level hike (very easy and wide trail where you can ride the strollers with small kids). This spot is in the middle of 14 kilometre trail, so you can park you car here and walk either east or west to reach the start or end of the trail.

This is a great place to go on a nice walk with your family or friends! Walking along the river is very nice to do and almost of the time you are able to find lots of interesting things such as animals! And if you are a novice gold panner looking to find some gold, you can definitely find some in this river, which can be a lot of fun! This trail goes for a long ways, so you can never get bored of it! Definitely try this walk out if you haven’t before. It is accessible from multiple access points and is all flat!

I’d give it 5 stars, but for such a central park to have such limited number of swings is a shame.

Water is shallow but fast moving and clean. Lots of shade and benches in the section that we were in. Peaceful. Not crowded.
