Mission Memorial Hospital

Absolute joke of a system. Waited 6 hours in emergency while it was DEAD for a doctor to refuse to call a cardiologist because I am too young. Said "if I call a cardiologist he'll hang up when I tell him your age! " Proceeding to laugh at me! Just wanted answers why my heart has been hurting for days.

Came in around 5am and was an extremely long wait for imaging and some staff not the friendliest. The majority of staff were nice though and attentive.

Went to this hospital in March 2023 for a severe allergic reaction. I was seen straight away and given medication immediately. The staff were so great and I feel bad for them having to deal with “crazy” patients who yell and scream through the night and won’t cooperate for the nurses. My nurse was very patient and kind after I told her how scared I am of needles. I really like this hospital and how on top it they are.

I know somepeople have hit and miss experiences at this hospital, but I tend to have a great experience here, they are polite and typically very quick to address things. Obviously all hospitals are understaffed and there can be times where it's a long wait, but most of them are doing great at keeping things moving. Much better experiences here than in the Abbotsford ER

The intake nurse and another staff were sitting in front of everyone talking loudly, and negatively about employers. It took 25 minutes for the triage nurse to even call our names. It I really unprofessional for patients that are waiting to hear this kind of conversation
