Mister Transmission

Would not recommend to anyone. We brought our xterra in for a transmission replacement which seemed to go well until we left the shop and 2 minutes later our whole engine died due to not having oil even though we had a service 2 days before hand and it was fully filled up. We had to push these guys so hard and so long before they would take the slightest bit of accountability. We then came to an agreement that they would pay for the labour for the engine replament as long as we paid for the new engine. We thought this was OK, BUT IT WAS NOT! They seemed to have been petty about having to do this job that they failed to hook up many components of the engine. So now $9000 later and after a long trip the car had to take while many things were not connected we now have a car with many problems. This situation is so gut wrenching

I brought my van in when the linkage broke down on holiday. Not overly friendly and we had a breakdown (same problem)! On the road a week later. This time in a remote location in the US.

Friendly service and great advice. Took a look at my whining rear differential, and took the time to give me an accurate diagnosis and cost estimate to repair. Would go back in a heartbeat

I am a certified automotive technician of 35+ years and have been using Mr Transmission since the late 90's. They have always done a fantastic job on rebuilding transmissions for me that are beyond my skill set. Recently they did a manual transmission rebuild that I needed to be done quickly.
It was going into a highly collectible show car. We never had time to test it for a few months after the rebuild. It turns out there was a glitch with a gear shifter fork. Within 24 hours of notifying Rick (one of the owners) of the issue, the car was picked up and the transmission was fully torn down and flawlessly repaired at no charge, and this was 4 months after I had the transmission redone but was not able to test it until the engine was finished being restored. They are the most "Stand Up" quality transmission shop I have ever dealt with in my 35+ years of automotive service. I will never go anywhere else.

Absolutely stellar place to take your vehicle with a top notch crew of “old school” care. I personally had to deal with Rick the most as my vehicle was a problem, started in Maple Ridge took to these guys under warranty and they found and fixed the issue. I wish I had taken it here first. Thanks again for all the great work and superb customer care.

The warranty coverage is a joke. They bring you back and forth to the shop a number of times which is a huge inconvenience to begin with, just to give the same answer each time that car is leaking from elsewhere and they won't remove the part to check/fix the issue. Two mechanics at different shops confirmed the leak but apparently that wasn't enough. The two managers at this place are also not communicating/synch with each other which is whole another problem. I do no recommend this place.

Best customer service, they fixed my transmission very quickly. It only took 4 days to rebuild my transmission, the previous shop that was looking at my truck took a month and still couldn't get a proper quote together. Thanks Mr transmission

We took our car here for a transmission estimate and to see whether work needed to be done. We were informed that we didn't need the service yet. It's great to come across a place that is honest and reliable. Look forward to supporting this business in the future

Had my clutch replaced with them. Ken is a very patient and friendly individual. Would recommend!

Had my transmission fail in Squamish and called Mr T to set up an appointment. They coordinated with a local shop and had us back on the road promptly and within the initial estimate.

After having our company vehicle looked at by multiple repair shops all we got was bill after bill with no real solution - no one could fix it or give us a definite answer on what the problem was. We finally ended up at mr transmission (wish we went here first) and they found the problem and fixed within no time at all. We will definitely come here first from now on. Great service!

They are transmission experts why go anywhere else. The work probably ends up going here anyway as most shops even the dealer don't touch anything inside the transmission.

I had 2 quotes from 2 shops both for $1750. I went with this Mister Transmission as it was closer to my home. Big mistake as these guys added $500 to the estimate once they get make car in pieces. I paid $2235 for a $1750 job, got ripped off.

Best service ever, had my transmission rebuilt, upgraded parts and back drivin in 3 days at half the price of other places i called.

I had a number of shops quote installing a positrack in my van. I went here even though I got better prices elsewhere because of their glowing reviews. I can't say they fully lived up to them. The work they did was good and to their credit, they seemed to be struggling with demand since having to move into a smaller shop. But I didn't expect to be arguing with staff here based on the reviews I had read. I could have saved myself some money and time (I live in East Van) by going with another shop.
