First and last time we'll eat here, super disappointing dining experience tonight. They were out of the beverages and dry ribs we tried to order, the chicken wings and burger we received were raw in the middle, and there's grilled cheese sandwich on the menu but the kitchen staff has apparently never made one in their life and were clueless as to what it was supposed to be - brought us a cheeseburger the first time, then melted cheese on a folded slice of bread like a taco? Don't put it on your menu if you have no idea what it is! Three dishes out of six were a flop. Kitchen needs a serious lesson in basic cooking so you don't end up poisoning someone.

Came in on a very busy Friday night with friends, waited for food significantly longer than usual, almost an hour to get our food served up, but what impressed me is their attitude and how they treated their customers, I can see that they were doing best they can, for compensation, we were offered 20% for our bill without requesting for it, not gonna lie they might need a more organized way to catch up with the order but with their attitude I hope they will be doing better in the future.

Sigsig is so good, even though I am on a diet I can’t help having it at least once a week!

Ordered the roasted pork belly, with honey glazed vegetables.the vegetables tasted exactly like a veggie platter and were as raw, and the roasted pork bellies outside was so hard it almost broke my tooth. The portion was tiny. Which i am thankful for because of how the food was.

Wow best kept secret in Fort St. John for the last year. Can’t believe I haven’t been eating here. Fantastic menu fantastic food everything we tried was fantastic great atmosphere super comfortable seating highly recommend will be back regularly.

Been here 3 times now and the food is great, time. Great atmosphere. I came in at 9: 45pm they close at 10pm and still served me. Great staff.will be returning

Hands down best restaurant in fsj.love that there's more than chicken and beef as an option.i had the kare-kare.everything was delicious and I was so impressed. Great job Modern Garage I will back soon.

I ordered the chicken Ceasar salad. I have never had lettuce that was warm, wilted and grilled and a salad! Salads are supposed to be cold, fresh and crunchy! I left hungry and $25 poorer.

This was genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I've had in the Northeast. To make a long story short, I do NOT spend my time writing reviews on Google, and my experience at Modern Garage has forced me to do it based on trying to adhere to a good conscience: both for the survival of this business and for future customers. To help the reader out, I'm going to list off some of the observations I made during my visit:

1. To start off, the bill was outrageous for what we received:

Total cost: 89.90 + tip = over 100 dollars for the following:
- small plate of calamari
- 2 small drinks that were loaded with ice (Caesar, strawberries mojito)
- cauliflower steak
- slice of a pork roast

2. The quality of the dish was quite low. For a new restaurant I'd expect the ownership to put a lot of work into making sure that their product is high quality and tastes good. Both entrees were incredibly bland and honestly could have been passed off as a microwave dinner.

3. The pictures on the menu are stock photos. They are not pictures of the food or drink served at this establishment. We tried to order a couple of drinks based off some of the pictures and we were told that they did not serve those drinks, and that they were stock photos. Question: Why would a new restaurant put fake photos of drinks on the menu that they don't serve?

4. The meal wasn't fully cooked. We tried to eat through the whole cauliflower dish and it was both burnt and undercooked. The whole plate was vegetables and wasn't cooked throughout which led to a significant raw-vegetable crunch as we tried to eat our food.

5. The portions are small. We spent over 100 dollars on dinner and left hungry. Despite our complaints above, we attempted to eat everything and we still left hungry. If you are going to serve smaller portions you need to ensure that the quality justifies it.

I can go on with other criticisms and frustrations but I'd rather focus on the issues that ruined our experience more than most. For the ownership and kitchen staff, please do better. If you want to ensure that your business remains viable, you need to do better. From the food quality, to the price, to the portion sizes, to the false advertising, you need to do better. Word is going to spread around quickly that this place is literally not worth going to and I can say that as someone who is going to share this message across my social sphere. The only redeeming quality of our experience was our kind hearted and hard-working server. To be completely honest, we immediately went to Audielicious to cleanse our palette after we left.

Please do better.

My family absolutely loves the menu, the cozy ambience and the friendly staff of Modern Garage. Chef Erwin is amazing and so accomodating. Celebrated my husband's and my daughter's birthday here and we were impressed. Thank you for an awesome night! Would recommend 200%!
