Mogu Fried Chicken

I ordered via delivery. This is my first time trying food from this restaurant.
I'm absolutely impressed with their fried chicken. Crispy on the outside and very juicy inside with really good flavour throughout.
The fries are good except they weren't very crispy.
They also have dark Japanese lager and it's delicious!
I'll definitely order again.

The fried chicken here is excellent! That’s the star of this show The garlic coleslaw was good, so is the curried macaroni salad. The french fries were okay, maybe missing a bit more flavour, as the dipping sauce was kinda bland.

Overall the food here is above average and the chicken is some of the best on the drive.

Ordered Uber eats, their chicken is reallllllly good. No bone, juicy meats, get the chili sauce for dip

Excellent food. Got the jumbo chicken thinking it was enough between two guys, but the portion was surprisingly filling and needed to take out.

Japanese style fried chicken! It was pretty good… no curve ball here… pretty normal chicken. They also have other form of chicken such as katsu and teriyaki. Among side dishes, I liked their salad a lot. Very hearty and come in many variations.

This is literally the best fried chicken in Vancouver. I’ve gone out of my way to try as many as I can and this takes the cake.

Don’t let the almost as amazing chicken place across the street distract you. Mogu is the clear winner.

Delicious food and great service. Their signature fried chicken was extremely well done. A nice light batter, deep fried to a crispy golden brown but leaving the chicken tender and juicy. The udon was al-dente and mixing it with the egg yolk made a really tasty sauce. The beef rice also was served with a soft egg yolk to be mixed in for another tasty dish. Throw in a pitcher of Sapporo draft beer made for a really great dining experience. Will be another favourite for us.

I have ordered from this place a couple of times now, deeeeeeelicious. My favorite is the chicken, little greasy, but full of flavor. The salads add a nice touch and balance. Highly recommended.

Mogu Fried Chicken had some of the best Japanese-styled chicken a restaurant can serve! The crispy and flavorful breading paired perfectly with the succulent and juicy chicken, and the unique Asian-inspired seasonings elevated the dish to another level. We ordered the Teishoku combo which came with light salad, soup, rice and of course the chicken. The attentive service and cozy ambiance made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to any fried chicken lover who craves a delicious Asian twist!

Bonus: The décor was really comfortable and stylish, including paintings of the owner's dogs! Highly recommend:)

Excellent chicken. Getting the jumbo fried chicken (15-18pcs) amongst friends was very economical and fulfilling. Pair it with a bowl of rice and you're set. Cozy place inside too.

We did dine in on a rainy day. I think we ordered a medium chicken and a fry between two of us and had enough chicken to eat for the next day or two. The sauces served with the chicken were awesome. Would visit again.

Honestly love this place since it’s food cart days! The chicken is SO good with light crispy outside and juicy and flavourful inside. The Ebi Katsu sando is something that is also a must order! Love the this place!

I used to order lunch from Mogu. I love their food, but now they're not open until 4 pm.

I don't like to eat meats at all and as a pescatarian I have to say this is the only place so far that I able to eat, juicy inside always hot, good packing. After the first tried, I'll become a regularly customer for this place. 10/10

The chicken here is absolutely fantastic. They are extremely juicy and the portion sizes are huge. I think this place is the original Japanese fried chicken place in Vancouver.

Came here didn’t expect much but we were amazed. Probably one of the best eats we’ve had in a long time.

Mogu Fried Chicken started out as a food truck. Their specialty is Japanese style fried chicken. Been for two dinners.

Service was excellent; your typical sweet, friendly Japanese service.

- Japanese curry chicken katsu ($22.00) - healthy salad. Katsu had a good breading and bite. Curry sauce was homey, well balanced.
- Garlic beef & scallions stir fry udon ($15.00) - udon had a satisfying chewy bite, excellent flavours. Well executed dish.

- Spicy garlic fries ($6.50 large) - fries could be crispier.
- Mogu fried chicken ($23.00 regular) - opted for the chicken only option with spicy gochujang sesame sauce. Our order had 11 pieces. They nail their fried chicken; not greasy, crunchy, tender & moist.
- Spicy pork stir fry udon ($15.00) - delicious, well balanced flavours. Udon had a great bite.
- Japanese curry braised beef ($23.00) - beef pieces were tender.

Looking forward to coming back to MFC.

I got to sit beside a very cute family. The chicken is so good and the portions are generous. Love their choice of music streaming: chill covers of pop songs. Love the artwork.

Chill fired chicken hangout. Laid back restaurant. Friendly and quick service. Great food at reasonable prices. Try the shochu and sake flights.

Definitely one of the best Japanese fired chicken I’ve ever had in Vancouver. Super juicy. Big portion. Even the salad and fired udon taste great. Will be back here again.
