Moja Coffee

One of my favourite places. Love the ambiance. Love the vibe. People are great. They source good quality baked goods, and the coffee is usually perfect. Great drip, great Americanos and awesome cappuccino.

Nice little shop in the summer. Decent coffee. Used to like to work here in the morning. They have been keeping the door open now in the winter. It’s 0 degrees right now. It’s just too cold to stay here. Staff said it’s open on purpose. Heard a few folks ask if it could be closed. People are visibly cold Makes no sense if you ask me. I’m going to get sick if I try to eat in rather than go. Not the cozy morning coffee with friends I was hoping for.

Good coffee, wifi, friendly workers, fresh and simple baked goods, and good amount of seating.

Poor workflow — took over 8min to get two drip coffees. Two staff members standing around behind the cashier could’ve easily poured these after making payment. Instead my order got slotted into the barista queue. Makes no sense …. If I had to wait in that queue I would’ve ordered an Americano!

THE BEST almond milk latte in Vancouver. They take so much care with each cup. This is such a great establishment. Also if you buy some of their coffee beans to take away they'll grind it them up for you to your preference and you get a free coffee with the purchase! Win win.
They sell half-caf bags of beans which is perfect for people trying to reduce caffeine intake.
It's also one of the best people watching spots around!

Great tea, but no WIFI available making it difficult to study there. Love the atmosphere and would stick around if they had their own WIFI, but as a student not the place to go.

Best espresso I’ve ever had, unreal!
Staff were friendly but not over chatty which was great. The only reason I chose 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was a man sitting at a table near the pick up counter who had removed his footwear, gross.

Don’t be surprised when you order a large coffee an they fill it up only half way. Don’t forget the guy behind the counter will get upset when you ask for him to fill it up more. The staff here is very pretentious. Expect dirty looks from behind the counter. Never go here.

I love their coffee and it'd have been 5 star but I truly hate their takeout cups. It's always leaking and I have no problem with other coffee shops

A real coffee shop serving real coffee. In a highly competitive coffee shop market, this one is a standout.

Moja has a great vibe. Love the aesthetic. The coffee is very good but the Pecan Chocolate Tarts are too die for! Plus they are gluten free, which is key for me. An additional plus the bathrooms are always clean. This joint is Triple A1!

This spot has good coffee and a very nice interior for sitting down and either working or socializing. The spot is convenient and also has a decent outdoor area.

The coffee price is a bit above what some of the surrounding shops offer. At the time of writing, the shop is also only offering take out coffee.

Cozy coffee shop with friendly service. Great atmosphere inside and they roast their own coffee. Coffee is excellent and decent prices!

As someone who has been a barista in the past for several years I will not judge the Baristas themselves but I will say that management needs to have more staff on the floor so that the staff aren't stressed and taking it out on the customers.

While the coffee is pretty good (ordered a cappuccino), I feel the overall customer service could be improved. I visited the shop on a Thursday morning and the staff did not give me a good experienced. I’ve had to repeat many times what I wanted, when I asked if there is any savoury food to order, the response I got was mediocre. It is as if the staff has no passion in what they do. They did not asked if I wanted the croissant warmed up either. When the cappuccino was ready, the foam was pretty much overfilling and dripped all over the place as I tried to carefully pick it up, and it was hot as well.

Loved their mocha and the cafe art was so pretty. Really great vibe and a good place to do work. There was a decent amount of tables, good wifi and places to charge devices. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable

I asked how sweet their cappuccinos were and the guy looked at me like I was from another planet.it doesn’t matter how good you think your coffee is if you don’t know how to treat the people you’re serving it to. Go to therapy.

I like moja coffee for their no-nonsense vibe. Their coffee is on the acidic side, more like a third-wave espresso (ya know?). Their mochas and matchas are always divine. Note that they use paper straws (so I opt to bring my own straw.).

Probably the best coffee I've ever had. I was gifted a bag of it around Christmas last year and was amazed. I don't live anywhere near any of the Moja locations though, so when I needed to travel out that way I had to stop by to pick up a bag of beans. Really wish there was a location in the Fraser Valley, or at least somewhere less busy and with parking. Was very difficult to find a spot just so I could pop in, so that's the only reason why my rating is 4 stars instead of 5.

Tourist from Alberta, going for a stroll down Commercial Drive. Stopped into a local coffee spot.great coffee and pastries, at competitive prices. Enjoyed this place very much.

Firstly my cappuccinos are the best, but living near the Drive if I want a cappuccino I would go to one of the Italian joints.

The roasted coffee bean smell practically pulled us in. Bought a bag of beans and was offered a free beverage with it. Was glad I got the iced coffee on this hot and sunny day. Even iced, I could still taste a deeply roasted flavour.
Making the coffee at home, there was that same delicious aroma, and great taste both black and with milk.

I've never had a 'coffee consultation' before when selecting beans. The guy asked me all sorts of questions that you'd expect to hear from a sommaliere. Then he went and had a side bar with his co-worker to narrow in on the right bean for me. I was impressed! Also, excellent ham & cheese croissants.

Every time I enter my favorite bean establishment everyone is already giving me finger guns and welcoming me on with open arms. Great beans! Great tunes.

10/10 would eat croissant again.

Excellent and friendly staff. They roast their own beans on site. Almond milk latte is the best and always consistent with taste and texture. I love their scones. A nice selection of goodies.

Great cafe and great coffee. I recommend their house blend espresso beans to anyone who makes their espresso drinks at home!
I’ve found their other blends at local grocers, but I always make a special trip to the cafe to pick up a bag of their house blend, it’s just that good.

If you like coffee you would love to be at this place. Very smooth lattes and good espresso. Its very busy over weekends sometimes its hard to get seat in there.

My fave coffee place in Vancouver but one of the employees is so rude it always rubs me the wrong way. If you don't want to be in customer service find a new job

Finally I found a café who can make creamy cappuccino with non-dairy milks. The croissants taste heavenly.

Well the coffee is great, and sustainable. The location is great however I must say the take out coffee cups they are using are terrible, I had to pour out half my coffe because the cup leaked coffee all over my nice clean vehicle.
Recommended this place gets good cups and put your logo on them to improve marketing:)

Great local coffee house that won't disappoint even the most critical caffeine connoisseurs.
The only issue I can see is parking.can be rather difficult to find, as the area is very popular

Best coffee beans in Vancouver (which is high praise). The bristas are well trained and can pull a great shot and make great drinks. Best of all, they are really friendly. Their pastries are sufficient but not incredible - but this is not why I go to Moja

Lovely staff and one of the best Chai Latte's I've had in ages! Might be my new "afternoon break" spot!

This is one of my favourite coffee shops on Commercial Drive and in Vancouver! It gets very busy on the weekends after 10 a.m.

I accidentally ordered a regular cappuccino, forgetting that I am lactose intolerant. I went back to reorder and they made me a new one free of charge. Both taste amazing, and I think this was really kind of them. The staff are super sweet all with a smile on their face. Highly recommend - atmosphere is everything (their coffee is amazing too!)

Have had the cherry turnover a couple times now very good. Nice to have something not offered at other coffee shops. Very good espresso servered well!

I had to re-review the coffee shop itself as the seating was full of people on laptop not drinking coffee over staying an appropriate amount of time

Moja Coffee consistently serves very high quality espresso that is absolutely delicious. I'm stoked that they serve oat milk, Oat milk lattes are so much creamier than almond or soy milk. The croissants are also incredible. The vibe inside is really nice. The only drawback is that it gets very crowded, but it's understandable since the coffee is amazing and the cafe is cozy and hip.

Drip coffee was tasty and reasonably priced ($2.25-2.80). The medium didn't taste too dark for my tastes, a problem I sometimes running into at coffee chains. Nice ambience.

Average to large size coffee shop. Great pastries and my soy latte was perfect. It's a little louder so it's fine for socializing but not ideal for a detail type of meeting. Otherwise awesome!

Absolutely loved the espresso at this cafe. Beautiful design too and plenty of space to sit and enjoy.

Great coffee and baked goods. Everyone there is friendly. The atmosphere is really nice and it feels relaxing in there despite how busy it can get. The only problem is that it does get really busy and there are sometimes no seats available at all.

Very nice cafe drawing a variety of clientele. Would be 4 star because of lack of true vegan options to eat but they earned a bonus star for having oat milk.

Decent coffee. Food is so so. Nice space and staff. Good if your looking to go a little pretentious and spend a Starbucks or higher amount of cash. Joe's, one block down has better coffee and has been a staple of Commercial Drive for ages.

Cool and vibrant cafè on the Drive. Organic coffee and tasty bakery. Highly recommend the pistachio croissant.

A very intimate experience with coffee and a fantastic mix of origins that create "One" flavourful cup of coffee.

I went there on my everlasting coffee exploration and, I am puzzled.
I bought one of their "Coffee lab series" and the coffee I get from it at home is lovely, but I also bought a drip coffee from their own drip and it was undrinkable

This is our friendly neighbourhood coffee joint. I love the oat milk here, love the vibes. Would camp out here for hours if time allowed. The pastries are not bad. Coffee is stellar, obviously. Bring back the 8oz insulated mugs! Staff is lovely.

The cappuccino and mocha were really good! The high tables facing the street is great for people watching.

A nice little place on Commercial drive. I do find their teas and coffees to be priced quite high. I suppose its because its hard to survive as a business in the area with a small shop.
