Momo Sushi

Came here a few months ago and have been meaning to come back. Place is a joy to be in, food was great but the spicy sauce was a little too spicy for me. Definitely will be coming back.

I’ve ate here a few times now. The lady that works here is so nice welcoming. The food comes quick, good sushi.

I enjoyed my peaceful afternoon lunch. Joy the staff are super friendly. Joy is such a lovley lady. 10 out of 10 will be comming back thank you momo.

Karage chicken was mostly dough, very little chicken. Unfortunately the real crab California roll was dry, the sunomono salad was too vinegary with very little crab. Prices were high. $92 for our order was really not sufficient for 5 people.

The best sushi I’ve had in Victoria, and a lovely comfortable atmosphere! I got the seafood salad and my partner got the mango avocado roll and spicy sockeye roll and both were phenomenal. Will definitely be visiting again

Sushi here tastes great and is cheaper than elsewhere. Service is also friendly. Why I'm giving 2 stars is because after both of my visits here, I've had unpleasant bowel movements. I don't know if it's the sushi or just my bowels, but it's detracting me from wanting to go again. Usually I don't have these reactions to sushi/raw fish

Best sushi I've had, I refuse to eat it anywhere else! Crunch go go roll is my go to order, and I love it every time! Along with that, the tempura is great aswell; perfect sauce, perfect crispness. The staff are wonderful and attentive, if it seems they're taking a long time it's usually because they are multitasking as they get a ton of online orders! Overall a great place with amazing food.

I ordered from here i was thrilled how delicious it was, fresh no after taste I honestly would rank it up there with some of the best I had and I love sashimi! I will be back sooner the better

I only ever get delivery but am never disappointed! Not pictured is the kfc chicken which was just ok.

New owners very bad service. The poor server working had no chance her 2nd night from what we understood and she had no support. The new owners really need to remove momo's name as he ran that place like a champ!

Got the chicken yakisoba, it was very small and sad. Only noodles some chicken and a little bit of cabbage, I was there was more veggies and noodles.

Extremely rude customer service. Yelling at me to shut the door. Awful people and horrible food

Food and service were excellent…agadashi tofu, a couple sushi rolls, sashimi and tempura (2 of us!). More than satisfied our craving for good Japanese food.

We went last night for the first time given the good reviews, but we were unfortunately very disappointed. We ordered two chicken bento boxes. The tempura tasted quite greasy, the chicken teriyaki was cold and absolutely drenched in sauce, and the dynamite roll didn't even have any crab inside. Sadly, the best tasting item was the salad dressing. With tax and tip it was over $50 for just two boxes, which is really overpriced given the unsatisfactory food and the very basic customer service. Needless to say, we won't be back. I read that owners have recently changed; perhaps they should change the name of the restaurant if they can't live up to its reputation.

Happy to have stumbled across this place. Hands down the best sushi I’ve had in Victoria in the 10 years I’ve lived here. The spicy tuna roll was the best I’ve ever had. Owners are so nice and welcoming. Quick service even though they were clearly busy. Will definitely be back!

Momo has changed for the worse in 2023. Probably has new owners. Not worth the money. It is now overpriced. All the old reviews are not relevant any more. I used to enjoy everything. The rolls are so small now and not presented nicely. It is like grocery store sushi. The vegetable tempura used to be yam and acorn squash. It was so good, I do not like the new combo. The tempura is now yam, broccoli, asparagus and mushrooms. The basic raw salmon roll was tiny, and the rice and seaweed was compressed together like a sheet so the fish was falling out. Really disappointed in the changes.

I have never reviewed restaurants but this experience left me quite unsatisfied so I have to. Had the kfc and the sashimi nigiri bento off ubereats. The kfc had almost no chicken in it, just fried batter basically. The dynamite roll and all of the raw fish had a bitter taste that it shouldn’t. The portion was very small for the price I paid. Overall not good and much better sushi options in Victoria. Plus I payed 38$ without delivery or taxes.

I love this place. Delicious sushi, reasonable prices, super nice owners, chill vibe, couldn’t ask for more from a local sushi spot <3

Very good place for takeaway! Convenient to order online, nice people.
We have tried Alaska, Unagi and California rolls and tempura prawns. Everything was tasty and of a very good quality!

. What a bad experience with new ownership.
I used to order a dynamite roll always. And they used to give it hot with potato chips. They served me cold rolls and such bad roll. On top they have changed systems where they are taking surcharge as well. So something that I used to pay $8 plus tip, now I pay $10.50 plus tip.

This is an awesome sushi experience! Sauces and dressings are incredible. Everything is super fresh and the flavors are like nowhere else. Joy is an absolute pleasure to be around and the food cannot be beaten. Will definitely return and recommend to friends!

Changed ownership false advertising. Rolls have changed but they change the same price. Avoid.

Absolutely amazing. One of the best places I’ve ever had sushi. Amazing environment, amazing staff. Actually really affordable compared to other Japanese restaurants in the city. Takes your dates here!

Lovely server and the food was pretty good but it left my friend and I feeling very ill the next couple of days. Not sure if the appetizers that were deep fried we had just were from a bad batch of oil or what but my friend felt sick the next day and I felt sick for a few days after. Unfortunately won’t be coming back again.

Amazing ambience. If your looking for a fantastic meal of sushi, with Kim and pop feel. I 100% recommend this place. Best service I have ever had.

Victoria island was the best sushi I've ever had. The rest of the items also were great, high-quality fish, great customer service, and very friendly staff. Definitely will go again.

Amazing agedashi tofu and the sashimi melts in your mouth! The server said they recently started table service - used to be take-out only. It’s a cozy little place and the service was so warm and welcoming. Definitely going back!
