MoMo Sushi

Good sushi, the portions are large and in relation to quality-price I think it is good, it is tasty but it is not my favorite in relation to others that I have visited, but if you are on Robson Street it is a good option, the service is excellent, the cooks are fast and in general all the staff are very friendly.

I order take out from this place minimum once per week, food is good i enjoy it, the only and main problem is i dont know why would they push to fit all rolls in one plastic container and it becomes and absolute mess when you try to eat because pieces are squished now and hard to Separate them! Simply because the left over of the sushi gets stuck in container as you can see in the picture, When i order in person or call I mention it, in fact have done it more than 20times, pls dont fit them all in one container and staff just look at me, confused, when i order online i cant ask for it, whoever reads this, the manager? Pls pls pls advise your staff not to fit 3 sushi rolls in one container, it becomes messy and really not nice to eat! Also tonight our order was sent wrong, one of rolls supposed to be deep fried califonia roll in fact was salmon avacado deep fried roll, i am happy it wasn’t shrimp or another mistake because i have a very bad allergy towards shrimp and sea shells, in that case i would have ended up in emergency!

I ordered the veggie yakisoba for $18 and there was literally only 1 slice of carrot & 1 piece of broccoli. It was an absolute joke. Wouldn’t order from here again for that reason.

The portion size is okay but the overall taste is below average: the salad dressing is too sweet and the Teriyaki sauce is too much and tastes too strong. The sushi rolls are a bit loose. The miso soup is a bit unpleasant.

This place is not the Japanese experience I used to have years ago. It’s ok sushi. I wanted tonkatsu like I had before. Nothing bad here just like it used to be under different name.

I ordered three meals in total and two of the meals had a part missing. Salmon shows 7 pieces on the menu, but I only received 4 pieces. The other salmon nigiri should have two pieces, and I only got one piece. This is the first time I ordered this Japanese restaurant. I am very disappointed. If there are no ingredients, the restaurant should refuse to accept the order

It was below average, ordered 3 rolls and 3 nigiris. It didn’t taste fresh and presentation wasn’t great and came with an unfamiliar looking white sauce on the nigiri. I thought all locations operated similarly as I’ve had a better experience at the Bidwell location. Prices for specialty sushi was $$$ for the quality. Servers came up to us 3x within 5-7 minutes to get our order, once we got our order in, they never came back. Save your $ and go to Avo House down the street for similar pricing or Tom Sushi on the other side of the west end for better quality.

The first time that I tried this place, I took an order online (the 45 rolls combo) it was really good, a lot of salmon and crab meat, and fresh. This last weekend I went to eat there, but sadly they were almost to close, so I ordered for take out: spicy salmon, dynamite roll, salmon avo roll and spicy salmon cream roll, everything was really tasty, and fresh, next time I will try the ramen, and I will go early The first photo (with the orange sauce) it was from this weekend, and the other one it’s from two weeks ago when I ordered an Uber eats.

Affordable bento box options at approximately $15 to fill you up. My beef teriyaki bento box came with two pieces of sushi, some salad, rice and beef teriyaki, and tempura. Taste was nothing special though. It might be a good place to go for lunch with a colleague or a friend and chat as it wasn’t too busy during the lunch hour.

Worst sushi I ever had. Went in August in the evening, the staff were friendly and it's a cheap place which was relatively busy. The sushi was a joke. Huge pieces rolled so loosely that everything fell apart, the pieces were not homogeneous in size and they gave me an end bit which was just a mess. Didn't taste of much either. But it was cheap.

The best sushi in Vancouver without a doubt. My go-to. However, the last few months I’ve been hesitant to go due to the service.
The moment you put the final piece of sushi in your mouth, the staff come and take your plate and put the bill on the table, and immediately come with with the machine to get you to pay. I would understand if the restaurant had a lineup, but they don’t even check if you want the bill or even anything else. They just watch you till you finish eating and just give you the bill, as if they’re trying to kick you out.

They should at least give you time to digest the food instead of pressuring you to pay immediately.

Great sushi at amazing prices. I tried the Philadelphia roll and the spicy tuna rolls. Fresh, tasty and great portions for the price.

Alright sushi. I asked for one ingredient to not be put in one roll and they still put it in. For the price and the mid quality, you might as well walk down the street in either direction and find a better sushi place. You are definitely paying for the fact you're on Robson. It was still decent sushi, though, just wasn't pleased with price and service.

Ordered the combo box A using Uber Eats and was extremely impressed with the quality and food.

The combo box included unique items not offered by other restaurants, such as sunomuno. The chicken teriyaki was deep fried and absolutely delicious! Even the small salad tasted like the dressing was homemade because it was sweeter and actually good. I enjoyed the box and will be purchasing again!

The yakisoba was served cold and the beef tasted like it was a day old. Had to ask them to reheat my noodles. The spicy salmon sushi tasted terrible, barely had any of their “house mayo”…. Wont eat here again. Also the server held the cutlery with her bare hands…… the side of it in which I eat from….

Price was okay but the rolls could be better rolled.
Unfortunatelly they often fall apart.

Very delicious Sushi for a reasonable price. Everyone was very friendly and attentive and we felt welcomed. Can recommend a 100%.

Cheap and delicious sushi! Fast service aswell. Tempura was nice and crunchy. Sushi was very flavourful! Some of the veggies were a little undercooked but it was still good!

This small order was supposed to be ready in 10-15 minutes, and it took about 45 minutes! They totally forgot my order, and when I asked for it, they even didn’t respond properly! (It could happen however you would expect some explanation or …)
After all, they left this container on the shelf without any bag! It’s shocking!
We used to have our Sushi at this location three, four times a week, loved it!
But, recently they definitely changed sth behind the scenes…
There’s no customer service!
This is the fourth time I’ve seen these issues, and the other time we either received the wrong order or mixed up package!
The employees are not trained!
Definitely not recommending!

WARNING: I used to ordered their food via DoorDash many times before, but lately they kept sending me wrong items over and over - 4 times in the row! I am done with this restaurant, and I am not recommending ordering online.

This place used to be our go-to place for sushi downtown, as their sushi were perfectly aligned with their price. However, those prices have increased significantly recently, probably due to inflation, but it is now as or more expensive than Tom's sushi, which is located a few blocks away on Davie street, and whose sushi are significantly better.
In sum: good sushi, but not worth the price tag.

I used to eat here twice a week. Once my miso was dumped entirely in my takeout bag, they never give the tempura sauce ordered, and the quality of the food has dropped. My last straw was the unexpected price increase. I order the same thing and a $5+ increase on an item along with the change of fish (different colour) lost me completely.

I use to oder Bento for few time and got difference experience until this time. I think it should be last time on Momo shushi.
- First the vegetable temputa get burn. It's not first time I see. Have no idea, is it the serect Recipe?

- Sashimi - poor quality and small but may be it depend on the mood of the chef. Sometime I got good one but this time.ahhh

- Salad without the salad dressing.some time they forget to give the Tempura sauce also until you realize you already at home. Everytime I have to hope please do not forget to give me the any sauce.

Sauce is rancid, they burnt my food, and there what looks to be a dead fly on my tempura. Don’t come here.

I have order from you 4 times, 2 of them you forgot the sweet souce, 5th time I order, I call so I can make sure you include the sweet souce. So by the phone we agreed on no soy souce and just sweet souce on the order and then you send soy souce and 1/5 of a container filled with sweet souc. Not only the lady on the phone didn't even say bye on the call, but also didn't do the order as agreed and the 1/5 of sweet souces delivered speaks for it self. So 3th time failing to deliver even when the customer calls in does it, we are out. I mean look at the picture, that container is untouched and look at the amount AND we agreed on no soy souce, so it Is clear for us at this point to stop ordering from you. I'm sad for the owners that lose business for this kind of behavior.

Worst sushi I never ever had before… in my life rice is firm and dry just ruined everything, tuna is fake tuna basically chef have no idea how to make sushi if I could rank 0 definitely it deserves 0 stars

We have always ordered their party tray (B & D are our favourite) whenever our sushi craving hit.
The staff is friendly and helpful on the phone. The food preparation is always fast and delicious.

Food is great but its cold in there! The size of the rolls are amazing! It costed $40 for two which is pretty good value.

Worst customer service ever. They have problem with credit machines, i didnt have a cash couse we don’t carry cash this time. But they give a food for free girl in front of me (she will come later) but just say for me sorry no money no food. They had to know how to hand situations like this and I really wanna talk with manager

No frills sushi place has your typical hand rolls and sushi but when we went our nigiri pieces were borderline frozen.

Really good sushi at a reasonable price. There were lots of different choices and we really enjoyed our choices. A beer to start and we dove into sushi. The salmon rolls were excellent and we also loved the gas town rolls. Has about 6 tables to dine in but we saw lots of take out as well! We’re happy with our choice of where to go for sushi!

Nice value for me it. Sushi is good. As family we ordered the Titanic but the host suggested it’s too much. Quality of fish is good but they ate cheap on fish and generous on other food. Chicken tiriaki is amazing and as sisal soap is good

I first tried this place in 2017, they haven't change the decor since then, except for the pandemic. The food is great quality and my favorite sushi in town, they serve you fresh fish and coustomer service is 5 stars as well. Compared to other sushi places around, thos one stands out, they give you soup with your order, they have a wide variety of items to chose from and they taste sooo good.

Cheap prices for quality sushi! The portions are big and they really pack in the ingredients. The pricing is so good for what you get, you’re getting your value. Try some of the special rolls as they have a pretty big selection. Due to covid they’re only doing delivery and takeout but it’s a popular spot for both tourists and locals.

Im a cook, i know when food has been sitting and then gets reheated. The first 2x times i ordered was pretty good. This last time was horrible. Never ordering from there again.

Their special rolls are really unique and delicious, the quality is always massive. Get a corokke/croquette if you can, they're amazing and my favourite thing they offer

Everything tastes amazing, sashimi is always fresh, prices very reasonable and portions are huge!

We ordered online before their close, we got charged on our c.c. And they said didn't have our order. After. 10min of arguing we showed them our bank account transaction and they told us to call the next day for a refund.

First and last experience here was aweful as you can tell by the one star. It honestly started with our neighbor table started eating the rice, which was rock solid. They complained a few times to the chef saying how the rice is stale and hard. The chef tried one of them and said there’s nothing wrong. Mind blown, we ate 2 pieces of ours - same result. We cancelled the rest of our order and paid for the two sushi we tried then we bounced.

Honestly never had this type of experience at ANY sushi restaurant before. It’s a thumbs down for us.

The quality of service has been decreasing more and more! My last order (and this one was definitely last one of this place for me) came with a hair on it! Disgusting, careless, lack of hygiene and supervision of employees! I do not recommend to anyone

Go to Momo Sushi if your looking to get some delicious sushi! Their generous with the portioning and you can taste the love. It was some of the best sushi I've ever had. Great work!

I previously gave this place a good review but have revised it down to one star. I accidentally ordered from here as there are three Momo Sushis in Vancouver. I called immediately to try to cancel it. The communication issues were horrendous. I ended up making 17 calls and was repeatedly completely misunderstood and hung up on. I ended up not being able to cancel the order as the team didn't know how the website worked, having to pay for it and having the food go to waste entirely due to these issues.

Missing delivery item and spilled soup all over my order. I called you when I received the order because the miso soup and salmon teriyaki was spilled all over the bag. Also, 1 miso soup was missing. I ordered 2 miso soup and only got 1. You said you would call me back and you didn't call. I received no refund or anything to make up for the spilled food. I received no refund for the missing item or any compensation.

Momo never disappoints, this was our last “Sunday sushi” delivery as we are moving out of west end. Everything was fresh and delicious. My favourites from yesterday were the takoyaki and the yam roll, however everything was delicious! The rice on some of the rolls were just a little hard, but still good. Keep up with the good job

Food was terrible. We ordered from Uber eats and the delivery was incredibly late. I already had low expectations since the order was late, but it even failed to meet my already low expectations.

The fish was gross and oddly firm. Just low quality ingredients.

Don’t eat here if you actually like sushi.

Food was mediocre, the service is terrible. I ordered a box and the teriyaki is super salty. The sushi is warm and doesn't feel fresh. There is no basic service like providing tea or napkin. And the server looks as if I own him money, throw the dish and later bill on the table, with a grumpy face. No idea why this momo Sushi is so much worse than the others. Avoid if you can.

I just randomly ordered delivery from here and OMG I am so impressed! Perfect rolls (and perfect size - pieces that can easily fit in your mouth), appetizing presentation (they put in the effort vs.just tossing food in a take-out container), super fresh, high quality, and tasty! My new fav sushi spot for sure. Thank you!

The closing schedule is not true, it appears that they close at 10: 30 on Thursdays and I went to 10 and they told me that the kitchen was closed.

Every night. A man comes close while I sleep. Then, he whispers, ´MoMo Sushi´. Every since, I´ve been having sushi at MoMo Sushi daily.

Friendly staff, reliable food, great deals for combos. Don't go there if you're expecting high end sushi. Still, everything is really tasty for the price you pay.

Nice sushi! The rainbow sushi taste great with reasonable price. If the menu can add more pictures would be great!

Not sure if it was an off day, but our food looked nothing like any of the pictures I see here. Fish pale and limp, valuable ingredients spared, and taste questionable. One of our rolls came out drenched (literally in a puddle soaking the bottom of the entire roll) in a sour sauce that may have made sense as a reduction, not as a soup. Completely baffling. I had a great experience at the Bidwell St location in the past though, their food was fantastic.

Well, it's one of the best sushi places in Vancouver! The food and service is 5 out of 5, considering their prices I would give them 6.

Piece of nigiri tuna had less substance than a quarter coin would.

Noodles in Suno were a lump. Still hard. Could actually tap on them audibly with chopstick.

Chicken Teriyaki was partially cut into giant pieces. Not bite sized. Had to ask for a knife to cut through the tendon that was holding all of them together. Very cold chicken, tasted reheated. (Temp in restaurant was 16 degrees celsius? Wore jacket)

The pieces of tuna sashimi were also a bit better but still laughable.

Not recommended.

I appreciated the generous serving of traditionally prepared Gari (ginger) that came with my sushi along with the prompt preparation of our meals. What I didn't appreciate was the frigid temperature inside the restaurant (which was made worse by the food supplier constantly opening and closing the front door in-between his trips from the street to the kitchen) and the horrible music playing on the sound system. Everything from the unkept conditions in the kitchen and prep area to the lack of customer service (no refills on tea, no genuine inquiry as to how our experience was) indicated to me that this restaurant, like so many others in our community, are focused purely on revenue generation than on providing effective customer service. While I sympathize with restaurateurs with the current HR challenges that they face (i.e. Attracting and retaining top talent), there is no excuse for lack of training. Clearing tables like you work in a mess hall, neglecting your customers, not keeping your working environment clean and organized, playing music on the sound system as if it was in your living room are indicators of woeful standards and the need for effective, on-going training. In terms of the food, the sushi was ok. It wasn't great. But at the same time, it wasn't terrible. This was my first time to MoMo Sushi and it will be my last.

Second best Momo Sushi in Vancouver in my opinion. This restaurant is not expensive, even cheaper than the other Momo Sushi at Gastown. A dinner for 2 was around $30. On a Wednesday night it was not busy at all so the orders came very fast. The sushi was nice and fresh. The deep fried gyoza in particular was very good.

Perfect location with nice and friendly staffs, but the restaurant has to fix heating system! It was so cold.and my roll turning to ice California roll.

Went last night (Saturday) and the service was very poor as my wife and I had to get the server's attention every time because they were usually talking at the back of the restaurant or not paying attention, and we ordered a large sake and we never got it, and that's a lucrative alcohol order. Another thing that really bugged us, and almost made us walk out halfway through was this horrible sounding mumble rap that was cranked the whole time, and was the only thing playing with no variety. It felt like we were eating in a 12 year old kids room, and the only reason we didnt leave is because we wanted to see if the food would be good. The food itself came fairly quickly, but tasted average at best and bland at worst. All in all not very authentic or fresh, but the price was fairly decent. I dont know if this place is always like this, but if it is avoid it and go to an actual Japanese restaurant.
