Is it okay place to be probably one of the better places around there. They're known for their beer much more than their food. Apparently they also do Growler Fills. I found that out after going there but they never answered my emails about that.

Service is inconsistent.

The first time we went to Money 9 for dinner, me and my family loved the place. The food was delicious and the staff gave top notch customer service.

Fast forward a few weeks, we went back to Monkey 9 to grab pizza for the kids. We were seated and waited for 15 minutes and not 1 server took our order. We called three employees and told them that we were ready to order but after 15mins had passed, not 1 server took our order. Lots of empty tables and the place was not busy that time.

Before leaving, we gave feedback to the manager and the apology given to us was not sincere.

The Good: The beer I had was very good. There was even a great magic show happening off to the side. Parlour Magic I believe.
The Bad: I tried to be healthy and have the #9 Bowl. For $18 there is no meat, but worst, NO FLAVOUR. They really need to go back to the drawing board with this and figure out a way to give it some flavour.
The Ugly: The smell. There was a foul smell of cabbage or old grease trap, or perhaps the bowling ally smell wafting through. It came in waves but was very unappetizing.

Good is great bar food.cocktails are a good time.try pullled pork tacos u wont be disappointed

Management. We need to talk. We eat here a LOT and are regulars.

First off, this is a properly great restaurant. Great food, affordable variety of amazing beer, great daily specials. The kitchen has a habit of overcooking the chicken burger however so please buy them a digital thermometer. It’s sometimes shoe leather. But other than that it’s a great brew pub and I recommend it.

However.

The mens washroom REEKS of urine. And air freshener. Sorry, men DO have a sense of smell and it stinks of both. Fix the urinals so they flush. I see an opening for a bathroom fan. It’s broken, isn’t it? Fix it! There is no excuse for a washroom to be that bad and that air freshener does nothing but make it worse.

I hear the bowling alley owns the bathroom but maybe it’s time to just bite the bullet and pay to fix it.

It's OK, waiting times were long, service took long to get the food.its very loud too.
Trust I would go back. But to be honest-nothing special.

Just had the best Prosciutto-Arugula Pizza! Beer was great and the service even better. I would 100 % recommend:)

We stopped in to have a beer and get a stamp for BC Ale trail. Went in at 4: 50 on Saturday Feb 11. They turned us away and not even seat us 4 at the bar. I have been to around 100 breweries and I will NEVER darken their doorway again

Went in here before my movie started. Good beer selection and pizza wasn't too bad either!

Nor sure why anyone would give a less than five star rating to this establishment, since their first days they always put out fresh food and clean brews. They're always ready to support their community and their staff has a professional representation. You can bowl with their food and beers to top at Lucky Lanes, another great business!

Great spot and super convenient.

I frequently go and fill my growler here. It’s reasonable and quick and the staff always makes time, even though it’s just at the bar of the restaurant. I have eaten here before as well and that was also very good.
Nice selection of beers both more traditional and unique.

Decent food. Poor service. Server comes to our table, and starts spraying cleaner right on the table while our drinks were there (really?). We ordered our food which arrived quickly and was good. We ordered off the happy hour menu. When we got our bill we were not charged happy hour prices. The servers excuse was, "The host is new and shouldn't have given you that menu. That's only Monday to Friday". You'd think she'd think about it and charge us the happy hour price since it was obvious we ordered off that menu.

Chicken wings pretty good.
Cheese burger is meh. Won't get it again.
Hawaii pizza is meh. Won't get it again.
Service is good, but could be better.
Air conditioning could be alot better.

The $10 happy hour Margherita Pizza is delicious! Tacos and cheeseburger were average to good. Beer flights are available to sample several beers.

We arrived at 1730. We had movie tickets for 1840. The service was sloooow. At 1815 I enquired about our food. It was brought out, not all together. We quickly ate, paid the bill and ran to the movie.

Nice place. The service was good. The wings were great. You have to get the Chili Garlic they are a must. The poutine was also go as well as the Crispy Chicken burger. Lots of screens to watch a sporting event, good place to kill time if your kids are at one of the entertainment places near by.

Dined here on January 1st for lunch. Wow, the service from this restaurant is on par with getting a root canal without anesthesia. It's supposed to be part of the Service Industry, clearly the server and the manager have no clue eat this means.

Really impressed with our server Madi.friendly and knew just what to bring and when. My hubby and I hadn’t even realized it was happy hour.great deal on craft beer ($5 for a 20 oz pour.lots of choices). Really enjoyed the salt and pepper wings.on special as it was Monday; as well as the deep fried (but not greasy) mixed vegies on happy hour.super deal and very tasty. Brussel sprouts, cauliflower and parsnips with bacon and cheese.wow:)

Good beer selection. Great server. Normal pub food quality. Lots of entertainment possibilities nearby.

I went to have a quick bite to eat before seeing the new Bond movie. I ordered a few applies, wings and some salt and pepper dry ribs. Our order arrived and we got pork sliders instead (could have been a mistake on my part). I told waitress no problem we would pay for them.

The Manager came over and told me they were on the house and he would put a rush on my dry ribs as he knew we were on limited time.

PS had no idea it was also happy hour so by bill was about 1/2 what I was thinking it would be.great value if your looking for a place to go before a movie or anytime. I recommend you give them a try.

Couldn't even try anything. My wife and I waited 15min at the entrance and the host lady in black dress just kept ignoring us. Probably busy but really bad sense of hosting

Great menu. Fabulous Radler. Friendly and accommodating staff on a very busy day. Super clean washrooms. Went bowling after! Lots of parking. Great for families or friends.

Take long, favor other tables, terrible service, cold food. Unacceptable, specially for post pandemic, should take better care of clients at this point.

Arrived and greeter was very rude about COVID scanned QR code. Didn’t even get In The front door and we turned around. Don’t need to be hassled about immunizations when we had everything valid right there! Front greeter needs people skills management! Will not be back. Maybe the empty restaurant was the 1st clue!

Food was pretty good. Service was not good. I understand breweries never have good service and that it's silly to expect typical table service at these kinds of places. But, I really hate waiting for my bill once I have finished eating. The moment when you look at your watch, you feel you have been forgotten about.

The manager needs to do a better job of supporting the server if she is the only server on the floor. She can't slang beer, seat people and wait tables. She also shouldn't be left alone on the floor by herself. That's rule #1, no one should be alone on the floor.

If, this is the way the brewery does it, because its casual service. Then this concept should be reevaluated for the sake of the business and the servers.

Beer and pizza. Can't complain and our server Natasha was fantastic for putting up with a couple clowns.

Initially had a slight issue with our pizza order, but the staff had gone above and beyond to make up for it. Experience ended up being top notch, great food, and exceptional service. Thank you to Natasha and the rest of the crew working the Friday (~7pm) shift on the 24th!

Ok. Sambal aoli on the chicken most people would like but if you can't eat spicy it is an unwanted surprise. I personally didn't like the beers I tried. Nice place, server made a good effort, just didn't do it for me.

Food and beer was OK. The place is looking a little run down and untidy - like boxes of beer cans stacked inside the restaurant. The restrooms needed repairs.

The staff are great, but they could not help that they were out of some of their own beer, some wines and steak!
We had a couple of pastas - my wife's was ok, but mine was supposed to have sausage. In pasta, that usually means actual sausage, not just ground meat.
Noisy and unimpressive - would not go again.

Had a group event there. Low quality food. Ordered a garlic shrimp penne, it was staled and not cook to order. There was literally 4 tiny shrimps in the bowl. Great staff was the saving grace for a 2 stars review.

Went for a burger and bowling with friends. Price isn't too bad I guess if you want to pay around 12~ish for a regular burger and not even get extra fry's with your burger. I left a little hungry, if you want to leave a little hungry this is the place for you. At least they got beer, good beer!

Came here funnily enough, on the 1 year anni of my daddios passing. Funnily enough as well, I didn't realize I had ordered a dad's lager till I was casually reading the drink menu to double check the name of my beer. Good beer, good ambience. Cheers to dad's beer.

First time here, great portion sizes, great selection of beers. Staff was friendly and quick! *Update* came back again for dinner before movie. 15% off when you show your ticket! My picky teenage daughter ordered the cheese pizza. First bit she said "this is the best pizza I ever had" lol the crust was thin style, crisp and light, I wanna say fluffy) had from what I saw and tasted cheeder and mozzarella. I thought it was a good pizza too. I had the chili rice bowl with shrimp. OMG it was good! Thanks guys!

There was a recent change to the menu here that actually has some good options for food. Good pub and place to be if you want to watch a sports event but food is really nothing incredible. Service is good though, no complaints about the staff.

Cute waitresses and nice food. What else can you ask for? It's a nice to go and enjoy the sports on TV or just to have a good time with friends.

Here is the 21 dollar steak sandwich.and a tater tot for scale. I am.not 85 years old, this won't due.

I personally found the food too salty. Service was good and it is conveniently located right across the street from the theaters.

Awesome brewery in an unexpected location. Beers are priced well for a decent craft brew. The interior has a nice layout for relaxing inside watching the game or on the patio with some friends. There is even a pool table and access to bowling next door. Best of all, it gives you a plac to get a buzz before going to the movies across the street! What makes it a 5 is that the staff is excellent - I have never had a bad experience with them.

The service was good, food was tasty but prices to food portions were terrible. Over priced meat platter which is 4 snow cone cups not over flowing but plenty of sauce.

A great patio with decent pub fare and great ales. Dad's lager is an easy drinking brew while Monkey Tears Salted Pretzel Stout was smooth and unique brew and worth trying.

Monkey's Lunch brew was out which shows why it's worth trying as it is a wheat ale with banana flavour.

Open for the first year and didn't have a liquor licence due to issues but open two years now and a great brewery to check out and enjoy some sweet sweet ale nectar under the sun

A craft brew pub with a great selection. I didn't try the food, but others were enjoying theirs. A nice patio, good service, and a well stocked bar

If you haven’t been, you should GO and sit at the Bar, watch and talk to Marty he’s the BEST Bartender in Town!

Great place to watch sports with a big screen TV and normal sized ones all over. Great big chicken wings and the kitchen was very fast.

Solid service, very accommodating (especially on our indecisiveness on where to sit). Food was great, Rueben sandwich was a hit. Margherita pizza was also popular. Not sure what that other reviewer is going on about, saying how it's just sauce and cheese with a couple leaves. Literally just described the ingredients to a Margherita.
Great choice to go to after a movie. (They'll take off 15% of your bill if you show them your movie tickets.)

My friend and I came here for dinner after a movie. The pizza is pretty good in taste, but it’s nothing special, crust was more on the limp side than crispy side. The cocktails here are pretty nice too. Nice staff.

Margarita Pizza was a thin layer of tomato sauce and a few dollops of cheese. Truly pathetic.
Chicken tacos with cold tortillas and cheese wiz for sauce.
Mustard chicken wings were just weird.
Tater tots were the best part. But just bagged frozen ones put into a fryer.
They were out of the chicken pot pie, pulled pork and two of the beers from their list.
Also stomach is not feel good 2 hours later.
The good. Kids liked their basic burgers and staff was friendly. But they only two servers on at 6pm.

Happy hour food selection was very limited and rather expensive for what they are. Good beers. Service could be better given the quiet traffic

We got a dirty table, the waitress asked us if we could take another one instead but it was the only one with a bit of sunshine so we kindly asked her if she could just quickly wipe it down. We got a grumpy face and nothing happened for the next 10 minutes although it was not busy at all. We decided to leave. Pretty disappointing service.

Just had beers. But service and atmosphere are excellent. Will be back for food and more beers! What a great makeover. Long over do for the location. Thank you Monkey 9!

Being extravagant in giving one star, waited 14 minutes, not even acknowledged, advised they were busy cleaning up and would be at least 15 minutes more, went next door to spaghetti factory and served immediately.

I came here a few weeks ago before a movie and was so disappointed. I ordered pizza and my date had a chicken caesar salad. My pizza was undercooked and soggy and the salad was over $20! It's only saving grace is the beer. Will not be back.

Wheat beer tasted like an IPA. Burger was much smaller then bun and way overcooked. Was supposed to have a rib with it but supposidly it was inside the patty -could not tell. French fries were good BUT at least half were the really small ends that are impossible to dip or even grab easily.
My wifes squewer had no veggies like she read on menu. Disapointed.

The Monkey 9 needs to look at menu descriptions and do some QA on the food.

We were there for a special tasting event. They had stations set up and tasty bites were paired with their house made beers. Oysters from PEI with an amazing Pale Ale, Brisket sliders with yummy IPA and a Charcuterie spread to die for paired with a Brown and a Red Ale. Small bites of balled Mac & cheese, cool take on a hot dog, chicken crackle, fish and chips and special pizza slices of stewed Lamb and a cheese which I forget. Small cask tapped of a super tasty Double IPA and a Nitrous Stout were more standouts of the event.

I didn't name all the beers or the food, it was a great event. Knowledgeable and attentive staff great atmosphere, we will definitely be going back to try the regular Pub fair and the rest of the beers.

I used to be a regular and they used to have a great menu with really original dishes that were hard to find anywhere else and suddenly they got a new chef who decided to change the menu and their new menu is gross! The last time I was there I got the Kebab and the portions were ridiculously small in relation with the price plus it had no flavour at all! It was plain! It came with literally steamed rice that you can make yourself! Zero spices or condiments! Can someone imagine an unflavoured Kebab with pita with unflavoured steamed rice? Awful! They just lowered the quality of the food and the portions but the prices went up! And the dishes they have now you can find anywhere else for a better price! I am not coming back.
