Good place to rent sea kayaks:) Our only feedbacks would be that the person giving the Gwaii Hanna’s national park talk could be a bit more fun and informative than just reading out of the textbook ;) the rest of the staff are cool and hard working, kayaks are good and logistics seamless! Jules

Extrêmement décevant, nous aurions pu voir ce que nous avons vu pour beaucoup moins cher et dans de bien meilleures conditions. Il est absolument faux d'écrire que tous les efforts seront faits pour voir autant que possible la faune, strictement aucun effort n'est fait à cet égard. Cela commence par un trajet chaotique en bus de plus de 45 minutes depuis l'embarcadère du ferry jusqu'à la "base" de Moresby, un hangar pour les bateaux, une baraque pour les équipements et deux toilettes ultra-minimalistes, sans rien pour se laver les mains. Le guide (qui fait tout: chauffeur de bus, guide sur le zodiac.) nous distribue les bottes, vestes et pantalons dont nous allons malheureusement nous apercevoir qu'ils sont très insuffisants et ne nous protègeront pas suffisamment. Puis il va préparer le zodiac, le mettre à l'eau et nous nous apercevons que pour 8 sièges, nous sommes 9 passagers. Pas un mot à cet égard, je suis obligé de m'installer sur un boudin. Inacceptable en termes de sécurité, de confort et de prix. La balade sera consacrée à trois stops pour voir la forêt (que nous pouvons voir bien ailleurs, pas besoin d'un bateau), puis des vestiges d'un village traditionnel (même commentaire) avec une accueil pas très sympathique de l'habitante locale. Pas un instant n'est consacré aux animaux et si je réussis quelques photos d'un aigle, c'est en quittant la troupe. Déjeuner correct et retour sous la pluie. Nous arrivons complètement trempés et gelés car les vêtements fournis ne nous ont pas bien protégés, puis attente pendant que le guide-chauffeur remonte le zodiac. Pas un endroit pour se sécher ou se réchauffer, et à nouveau 45 minutes de chemin chaotique pour retrouver l'embarcadère du ferry. Même si les paysages sont beaux, il vaut bien mieux se balader seul, à pieds, en voiture, en vélo, on verra la même chose, pour infiniment moins cher et dans des conditions confortables. A éviter.

What a phenomenal trip. Moresby Explorers did an amazing job and we had the trip of a lifetime. Kudos to Jamie for great piloting, and to Ash for meals way beyond our expectations. Everything was well organized and ran like a well oiled machine!

We took the 4 day tour in July 2022. What am incredible Adventure. Our guide, Camillo, was an excellent skipper and very knowledgeable. Food was great as well, prepared simple and with lots of love. One of my greatest trips!

Fantastic experience! I definitely recommend the 4 day tour! Dress warm (wool)! Rain wear, rubber boots, and a floater jacket are provided but you will want GOOD layers, a wool toque, neoprene gloves, and good eye wear. The guides, chefs (so many good meals!), and the entire crew make this trip a wonderful experience! Incredible knowledge, respect, and insight to the Haida lands we explored. Visiting the watchmen and Haida villages was a real honor. Bring your bathing suit (hotspring stop!)! Thank you for the adventures, experience, and so many amazing memories, Morex! Haawa!

One of the most memorable tours I've ever been on! All the folks at Moresby are wonderful!
We did the 4 day tour and even though the weather didn't quite cooperate, our guides Jamie and Mia made the best of bad weather and still delivered an absolutely fabulous tour.
The food was unreal and we ate sooo well throughout the entire 4 days.
Make sure to pack more warm clothes than you think and an extra pair of gloves! It gets cold out there.
Can't say enough good things about this tour!

Well, I dunno if it was a 5. We did run into a spot where shore bounce, swell frequency, tidal timing, wind and storm remnants were having a mildly wild party, easily navigated by our crew.
If fact, we didn't see a lot of water based mammal activity but that lack was well offset by just the experience of passing through open Hecate waters. Invigorating in all aspects.

Did a 4 days trip with Moresby Explorers. Trip was well planned. Our Captain Chelsea is very professional, passionate and take special care of each and every guest.
Ashley is a great Chef and cooked the best food at Float house. Rose harbour was great and Francis cooked delicious food. I highly recommend to go with Moresby Explorers for Haida Gwaii tour.
Recommended time to visit the island from may to august

I've only been on the 1 and 2 day tours. The floathouse in Crescent is beautiful, riding the zodiacs is fun - always dress warm even on sunny days, & bring lots of snacks and water!

Not a great option if you've got a neck injury. Getting in/out of these boats requires some decent mobility, although guides will help assist you on/off. There are similar outfitters that may be better suited for the demographic with mobility or injury considerations. But if you're a fan of the zodiac experience definitely recommend. I have traveled on other vessels into the Gwaii Haanas, but my favorite boat to travel south in by far is a zodiac!
