They have a huge selection of books, games, puzzles and other miscellaneous gift-worthy items, all in a clean, inviting atmosphere. They are very helpful and courteous.
This is an awesome bookstore! It’s nice to see a big bookstore that’s not just Chapters or Indigo! They have a vast selection, and a solid quarter of their store is for kids. They have awesome deals (it’s Boxing Week), and about half of their store was for “Bargain Books”, which are cheaper.
I bought a book as a gift. Didn't keep the receipt. The recipient read it already.: - (The cover says the discount price and has Mosaic sticker on it but they would not allow me to exchange the book. I asked for one at least cost but no.
Asked an extremely helpful staff member for poetry book recommendations. They said they weren't an expert, but clearly they were since they pointed me to the best choice I could have made. Thank you!
In the enchanting city of Kelowna, where the lake mirrors the sky and the mountains whisper ancient tales, there lies Mosaic Books—a sanctuary of words, a haven for dreamers and thinkers alike. It's not merely a bookstore; it's a realm where stories and souls intertwine, where the rustle of pages blends with the rhythm of human hearts.
As Milan Kundera might muse, each book is a doorway to an existential journey, a dance of light and shadow. Mosaic Books is the choreographer of these dances, guiding its patrons through labyrinths of ink and paper. Here, amidst the quiet aisles, one finds laughter, tears, and the sweet agony of choice.
Remember the old Asian gentleman who, during our memorable San Francisco escapade, fainted atop Coit Tower? His moment of fragility against the city's backdrop mirrors our own human comedy and tragedy found within Mosaic's walls. Each book, a reflection of life's precarious balance, each page turn, a heartbeat.
Five stars to Mosaic Books, a jewel in Kelowna's crown, a place where stories are not just told but lived, and where every visit is a chapter in the novel of our lives.
Books here are well organized and often you see options you might not find at a chain store. Staff recommendations are thorough and super helpful and personal which makes it a lot more fun to shop in than chain bookstores. Carries a few notebooks, but most of the store is strictly for books. Great to browse in.
They discriminate. I prefer Indigo wayyy better more selection and points. Mosaic books sux! They atmosphere they have no wifi no nice seating. The staff at chapters/ Indigo are nicer and the store looks way better then this place. My money isnt going to a place that treats me with disrespect. Plus the staff know thier books Mosiac staff doesnt seem to have book recommendations when you ask them. Pretty wierd they work in a book shop but have no knowledge. Plus no computers to check for books. Indigo has everything you can want and they ar ed inclusive these people are fakes.
You have my heart, Mosaic Books! I love how huge the store is and what a fine selection of books on bargain! I can NEVER find such a bookstore in Singapore with titles that are curated by staff who are also fellow readers. I wish I had more time to spare to leisurely breathe everything in before I go. I hope to come back again!
Great bookstore with a large selection and categories. Bargain section is about a quarter of the store, staff are helpful. Haven't been to Indigo since finding this store.
This is the best independent bookstore in town. I try to buy all my books here. Good selection and they can usually order what’s not in stock. Buy local! Buy downtown!
Best local bookshop! I love how they display books on their shelves by facing the covers out, and I always enjoy the staff picks and bargain tables. Very well organized store, fun to shop in, and staff is helpful.
